Gael's POV
"Dad got attacked," Claire said immediately I sat on the dining chair.
My eyes widened in surprise.
"When?" I asked .
"Yesterday , at night , right in his room" she replied
" What about his guards, what were they doing? "
" Obviously sleeping and to top it all , his attacker was a woman "
I sighed.
" I told Dad to drop his presidential ambition, but he wouldn't listen" I muttered but Claire heard me anyway.
" Presidency or not , he has enemies and they are out for him " she rolled her eyes .
" I'll visit him today " I replied in a tone signaling the end of the conversation .
Claire nodded and continued eating.

"Mother" I gave mom a side hug.
"How are you son?" She smiled.
"Good, where's father?"
"He is resting in the room" she replied
"Okay, I'll go meet him now"
She nodded and I headed to the long spiral stairs.

"Dad, Claire told me about what happened" I said immediately I shut the door.
"Yeah," he muttered, staring into space . He had some bruises below his nose and mouth. Woah , was it really a female who did this to Dad? She sure was trained for the mission.
Even though dad was already old , he could still fight like he was a youth because I'm sure his bruises would be worse if he didn't at least fight back.
He made sure I learnt martial art skills. He claims that I'm a businessman and I have enemies so I should know the art of self defense.
"How'd that happen, what about your guards?" I questioned.
" They were obviously sleeping," he added angrily.
I sighed .
" Well thank goodness it wasn't worse" someone spoke up and I turned around to see who had the voice.
It was just then I noticed Hilary , his campaign manager , was in the room also . She passed me a thin smile while I only nodded.
"It could have been a different story if the guards hadn't walked into the room . Well , all these are expected, he is running for president so it's expected he gets attacked frequently" she added
" We just have to make sure he's safe during the election period and before" she added
" Okay" i murmured
" I want to speak to him alone," I added .
She got a hint and smiled.
" I'll be downstairs," she muttered before walking out. Immediately she slammed the door shut , I turned to dad .
"So , were you able to find out who she is?" I asked dad
" No, she escaped before those stupid guards could run after her" he replied obviously frustrated.
I chuckled.
" Well she got away and did a almost clean job" i said with a thin smile
"She isn't getting away for good , I have my men searching for her," he replied .
How was he going to do that ?
How could he find an assassin who just crossed his path once ?.
"Okay " I muttered
"I'll get going now" I added and headed for the door .
"Did you get an appointment with Liza De Novo yet?" He asked .I stopped abruptly and turned to look at him. Even in this situation he's still thinking about getting an appointment.
"No, but soon "
"If you don't get an appointment with their company soon , I'll have to do things my way "
" It's my company, you handed it to me so let me solve this MY way not YOUR way "
" Goodbye" I added and walked out before he says anything.
I descended the stairs and met mom having a conversation with Hilary.
"Mom,I'm leaving" I informed
"Okay son , we'll talk later"
I nodded and walked out of the mansion.

Tiago's POV ( Gael's dad)
"Argh" I groaned, immediately Gael shut the door .
I have to find out who that lady is . Why'd she attack me? .
The door opened and I turned towards it. It was one of my men.
"Boss," he muttered, bowing slightly.
"What'd you find?" I asked impatiently.
"He was at the gate yesterday night"
I turned to the guy .
" How could you let her in? " I asked angrily
" Boss , I didn't know, I almost got her but she made me pass out"
"What if she had succeeded in killing me huh? How can you be such a weakling?" I growled silently, grabbing my gun from the table.
" I'm sorry b-"
I didn't let him complete his statement before firing at him.
" Take care of that" I muttered to the other men , who quickly took out the body.
'I don't know why my men cannot always seem to do anything right!'
I've got to find out who is under that mask . I grabbed my phone and dialed Franco . He picked up almost immediately.
"Uncle" he drawled
"Meet me at the warehouse"
"Yes Uncle" he replied . I ended the call and shoved the phone into my pocket before walking out.
"Where are you going Tiago?" Miranda snapped her head to look at me immediately I descended the stairs.
"Somewhere"
"Can't you ever listen for goodness sakes?" She groaned .
" Mr Ramos , I suggest you listen to your wife and stay home, it's risky to be out after what happened yesterday"
" Don't worry about me Miranda, I can take care of myself"
I smirked and walked out .

Franco walked into the living room with a slight frown.
"Uncle" he called
"Mom told me you got attacked"
"How'd that happen?"
"I want you to find out who she is"
"Uncle, how am I supposed to do that? "
" You're smart Franco, you'll find a way" I muttered.
" That aside , did Ander deliver the goods safely? " I asked
" Hopefully, I'll call him today " he replied
"Good, he mustn't mess things up this time"
"I trust Ander" he smirked
" So... What is Gael going to do about Liza De Novo?" Franco asked
I smirked
She's another case I'll get to handle soon.
