Getting to know him (part one)
Gabe ended up canceling on Summer.
She laughed at the face he made when he told her how he got scolded by his professor for neglecting his duties as his assistant in the hospital for so long, and though Gabe explained it in a light manner, Summer knew how much that research opportunity meant to him. And that particular professor was mentoring Gabe for some time now. She made him a hearty breakfast and cheered him on as he got ready to go. She waved good bye at him through the window making sure that her smile never faltered against the final worried glance he threw her way.
But nothing could bring Summer's mood down today. She had hope, she had a boyfriend, and they were going out for dinner tonight!
