159 Chapter 159 - No You Did Not

After packing up my half of the supplies I needed, Dean came back with Fleur. There was nothing in his hand so I could only assume whatever she gave him was small enough to place in his pocket or was something verbal instead.

"I got everything packed up. I will see you in the new year ok so be safe!" I hugged Fleur who finally broke into a small smile. "Alright I will see you in the new year." She double checked we had everything and sent us off.

It was now dusk so the weather was getting especially cooler. We dropped by the hotel to drop off our precious cargo and headed out to dinner. Now that the trip was coming to a close I was feeling a bit sad that we would have to return home.

All the fun things we did such as custom wine making, private tours of the Louvre, visiting the Eiffel Tower and other famous buildings such as the Notre Dame Cathedral were so fun but who knew when I could come back and do it again.

When the new year came things would be different. In my work-life, my parents will be handing over more responsibility for me in our estate and business which would make me extremely busy. As for my own company I would have to start looking into assigning a new leadership position to help offset the workload and not require me to be there as often. In my personal life, I would now potentially have shared my relationship openly with my family and friends.

This both excited me and worried me. I was excited to not have to be so secretive and be able to just live my life as I would have with any other guy. But I knew there could be consequences. And as for what those consequences are, I did not know.

There was also the unpleasant repercussion of not attending Felix's wedding. Though I managed to avoid any texts about what was going on, the sheer volume of texts I am still recieving is making me concerned that something happened.

"Everything ok? You seem to be thinking real hard." Dean brought me back to reality as we were seated for dinner. "Oh yeah sorry just thinking about all I have to do when we come back." I was a bit embarrassed on spacing out so I set those thoughts aside to fully enjoy the last night.

"Oh yeah it will be a busy time for sure. And maybe you might not be feeling this way but I still want to let you know as it is important to me but, we don't have to rush anything. I don't know if you were worried but I am fine with still keeping our relationship on the down low if you need more time. I want you to be comfortable and not feel pressured by me."

"Oh... that was not really a worry per say but still nonetheless I am very appreciative you are looking out for me." I contemplated heavily on my feelings for Dean and though I have not said it out loud, I knew that if he asked me to marry him I would say yes. And that was the only part that worried me, but only because a judge would have to agree.

"Of course." We found a restaurant that served a dish known as a staple for the winter which was a Tartiflette. We got one to share as the dish in this restaurant was quite large but the creamy baked casserole of potatoes, cream, cheese, bacon, and onions warmed me right up after just one bite.

"By the way I did not see any shopping bags in the hotel room, so what did you end up buying?" Dean suddenly looked sheepish. "Ahh well you now how I am a car guy right." He rubbed the back of his neck nervously as I out the pieces together. "No you did not."

He pulled out his phone and showed me the car he bought.

"This is a Talbot-Lago Type 150 CS. Listen I totally get that this was a crazy purchase but this car is one that I have had my eye on for years and I did not expect to find a seller when I was shopping." His excitement as he showed the various pictures he took of the car and as he explained the rare find diminished any irritation I had from what he did.

Was it crazy purchase considering now we had to figure out how to export the car back home, yes. But I was bringing back hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of precious stones and jewelry with me. And though I did not buy it per say, I spent nearly all day working on this.

So we all were a little crazy about our passions. I could not fault him for what I do as well.

"Do you have a way to transport it?" I hoped he had some sort of plan at least as we were leaving early tomorrow. And my jet was not going to fit a car. "Oh yeah I am doing air freight so it will be home with us in a few days. I already sent it off when you guys were working."

As always he proved his reliability. So seeing that he already took care of it, I let myself be more happy about his purchase. "Oh good."

Dinner ended well and before long we were on our flight home. When I woke up from the flight it was early morning back in our home country. When the plane stopped I was surprised to see a few vehicles waiting on the tarmac.

"I wonder if someone else if flying today?" Dean who was asleep got himself up but when he looked out the window the color from his face drained. "No fucking way, is that my parents?" My heart just about dropped and when I peeked out I saw the familiar red head of my father and the dark hair of my mother as well as Deans parents.

"Shit what are they doing here. Did your parents know you came with me?" I hurriedly arranged my clothes as if they were in the cabin with us. Suddenly feeling exposed. "No but I can almost guess how they know."
