Olivia?

Olivia started to squirm around. It wasn't that she was uncomfortable, her body had been sending her some urgent signals. She needed to go to the bathroom.

Except, a pair of muscular arms that were firmly wrapped around her waist, impeded her. She looked up at the face that was sleeping soundly beside her. Olivia did not know how much luck she acquired in this life in order for such a beautiful face to be greeting her every morning.

She raised her fingers, quietly skimming over his hair and then gliding back down to trace his dark eyebrows. Soon, she reached his full, red lips. Her fingers lightly danced around his soft lower lip, every so often pulling at it slightly.

Just then, the person in question caught her fingers between the whites of his teeth, nibbling at them softly. He then caught her fingers with his hand and gave each fingertip ever so light kisses.

Slowly opening his eyes, Olivia came face to face with a pair of familiar deep crimson pupils. In fact, they looked even more exquisite up close.

"I need to go the bathroom," Olivia whispered, her body no longer allowing her to continue admiring his features.

"No, let's continue sleeping," Alexander denied her request to let go and shamelessly brought her closer to his chest, snuggling deeper under the covers.

Olivia gave a small giggle. Of course they both knew that either way, it was time to get up all the same, so it was only a matter of time before they had to leave the bedroom.

As the urgency kept increasing, Olivia hurriedly spoke up, "I really need to go to the bathroom."

All that she got in return was him burying himself in between the crook of her neck.

Olivia was at a point where she had to start squeezing her legs together, "I'll end up making a mess and that's embarrassing!"

Finally, with all her might, she pushed him away and awkwardly ran to the bathroom as she heard a throaty laugh coming from behind her.

Due to the fact that it was already morning, both of them knew that it was time to get up so while Olivia washed up in the bathroom, Alexander also started to dress.

While Alexander started to button up his shirt, his eyes drifted off towards the bathroom door.

What was taking her so long?

By now, Olivia would've come out long ago yet she was still cooped up inside.

As the seconds ticked by and Alexander's eyebrows furrowed, the bathroom door opened.

Finally, Alexander relaxed himself but apparently that was too soon.

In front of him stood Olivia. Alexander understood this. The woman currently standing did indeed look like Olivia. Her facial features, her hair and even her height. Yet, this seemed to be an Olivia he did not know.

She looked at him as if he were familiar yet a stranger at the same time. Funnily, both of them had the same gaze in their eyes as they looked at each other.

One reason why Alexander felt perplexed was that the woman in front of him was not wearing the clothes he normally saw Olivia wear. Instead, she wore bizarre blue trousers, a material that he had never seen being manufactured before. On top, she wore what seemed to be a thick and heavy garment in white with funny inscriptions scrawled across.

The only thing that Alexander seemed to remotely recognise were the slippers on her feet.

Not only was this not Olivia, visually, Alexander could not recognise this person's smell either. It didn't match the same smell that had always permeated from her, thus Alexander decided in that moment that this wasn't Olivia.

As much as Alexander wanted to rush over to this person and grip them by the throat, he could not bring himself to do so.

"Who are you?" Alexander demanded.

"Alex…?" The woman replied, puzzled.

Hearing her, Alexander noticed that the woman sounded exactly the same as Olivia, yet he felt uncomfortable in her presence.

Seeing Alexander not respond, the woman started to panic. She looked around the room. Nothing was familiar to her, she couldn't recognise not one thing. The only thing that was familiar was the man in front of her.

"Alex what is this? Why are you dressed like that? Where are we?" The woman managed to calm down slightly. It seemed that Alexander's presence gave her a sense of security.

"I won't ask you again, who are you?" Alexander ignored the woman's chattering's, if this wasn't the Olivia he knew, then where could she be?

"Wait, you don't know who I am? No, I don't believe it. Is this a prank? Where are the camera's?" The woman started to look around the nooks and crannies of the room.

Alexander was extremely confused. Not only did he not know who this intruder was, they seemed to be speaking of words he had no knowledge of.

As Alexander watched her quietly turn his bedroom into a mess, the woman slowly noticed that this didn't seem to be the 'prank' she was speaking of.

She turned back around and found Alexander looking at her as if she were a complete stranger.

"No way… What's happening? Is this a dream or something?" The woman proceeded to pinch her skin, hard.

"This doesn't seem to be a dream. Then what? Alex doesn't even recognise me and everything looks ancient. Don't tell me… like in those novels…" The woman abruptly stopped her mutterings as if she had stumbled upon a realisation. Her eyes widened.

She turned her head to look at the man that had been staring at her for the last 20 minutes. Although she had just now realised that she too did not actually know this man, the fact that he looked and resembled the Alex she was used to, allowed her to keep her calm.

Recognising his look of impatience, 'Olivia' cleared her throat, "I'm Olivia. What's your name?"

Alexander didn't reply. Instead, he looked baffled. He could see that this woman wasn't lying, her heartbeat was as steady as ever and her eyes were not shifty but rather clear.

He had a mouthful of questions but there was one he was most curious about, "How did you get here?"

"Oh? Uh…" She didn't know whether she could say. If she was honest, would they put her in a mental asylum? Actually seeing as these were olden times, wouldn't that mean they would take her as a witch?

But… she had no other way to explain.

"Spit it out. I don't have all day," As Alexander said this, he felt that the 'Olivia' in front of him felt slightly similar to the foolish one he personally knew.

Seeing the face of the Alex she knew so well, feelings of comfort and security ended up overwhelming the slight fear and panic that she felt.

"I was in the bathroom and then I felt slightly dizzy, once I woke up again, I found myself here."

"So Olivia must be over there," Alexander mumbled, a deep frown on his face.

Hearing him speak of another Olivia, she felt enlightened, "Oh? You have your own Olivia? Me too! I have my own Alex."

Alexander frown only deepened.

'Her own Alex? Doesn't that mean she's over there with another man?'

As if mirroring his thoughts the girl sighed as she sat down on the bed, "I wonder if Alex is as surprised as I am."

Alexander's mind could not help but whirl as he thought of multiple possibilities.

"Do you want to see what he looks like? Actually, he looks exactly like you!"

The woman spoke cheerfully as she reached into her trouser pocket, pulling out a small rectangular box. Alexander looked on as the small box had, as if by magic, lit up with a bright light. The woman continued to tap the box, the face of the rectangular object showing various bright colours and pictures.

"Do you know magic?" Alexander asked. If the Olivia he knew was a Talented One, perhaps this 'Olivia' in front of him also knew a form of magic.

"Magic…? Oh, this?" The woman waved the small box around.

"This isn't magic. It's called a phone. Everyone has it where I'm from. Even Alex," She explained as she continued to tap on this 'phone'.

Although Alexander didn't quite understand what this 'phone' entailed, he understood that the woman did not have any magic.

Suddenly, her face blossomed into a beautiful and soft smile. One that he had only ever seen on the Olivia he knew but was now seeing on another.

The woman joyfully walked next to Alexander, showing him something on the phone.

"Look! Doesn't he look exactly like you?"

Alexander moved his eyes from her to the 'phone' and looked at the screen.

Shown, was a man sitting at a table. His pearly white teeth were on display as he gave a gentle smile. The reason for the smile was due to the girl standing beside him, his arms wrapped around her waist while his chin rested on her shoulder. She too, was smiling brightly. It seemed to be quite the joyous occasion.

"That was a few years ago when we were still both in university," The woman explained, her voice sounding in the background.

Alexander continue to stare at the bright screen, especially at the two people who resembled himself and Olivia greatly. One thing he noticed was the one glaring difference between him and this 'Alex'. The Alex shown on the phone, had black eyes, while the one viewing him through the screen had crimson.

Then, the screen turned to black, snapping Alexander out of it.

The woman looked up at Alexander, finally taking in his features up close.

'He really does look like Alex'

The woman gave a slight melancholic sigh as her eyes continued to roam before stopping at his pupils.

She then started to frown.

Since she was in times of old, did they have contact lenses back then? How are his eyes red? A disease?

"I do not have a disease," Alexander replied in a cool tone.

The woman flinched, she didn't think she had actually voiced her thoughts.

"If it's not a disease then…?" She asked, confused. She had never seen someone with such a florescent eye colour.

Alexander cocked an eyebrow, "Have you never encountered a vampire?"

"A what?" The woman nearly choked on her spit.

Seeing that Alexander seemed to be telling the truth, she took a slightly large step back and muttered, "What the hell? This is literally like a movie."

Looking at how she was reacting, Alexander could not see any exact resemblance to the Olivia he knew. When he first met Olivia, she didn't react to him much, let alone look scared. In fact, she looked quite indifferent and taciturn, unlike the cheerful and chatty woman in front of him.

Was it the different environments the two women grew up in?

Hmm....
