Trouble? Nah

Me and Ace sat at a table in a restaurant.

I read the journal while Ace just ate.

The journal was about the attack of the revolutionary army in Tequila wolf and the liberation of the slaves.

-What do we do now… Said Ace as he munched on his food.

-...Don't speak with food in your mouth… You'll spill some on me. We are going to find a small crew, just one good enough to sail a small boat.

-And where are we going to find a small boat?

-I already found one.

-OH!

-It's not the best. but it should be enough for a while, we will need a better one to cross into the Grand line. If we need to, that is.

-Yeah… How are we going to find this creature?

-We need to look for trails. To be frank, I don't know much about this particular Cosmic beast. We just have to be lucky I guess. Not like we don't have time… We can train in the meantime, I have found the techniques in this world to be quite interesting.

-What do you mean? Is Haki and Rokushiki not common out there?

-What do you think? Rokushiki is a technique made by the Marine while Haki… There are similar things. Although I haven't seen many Haki users here in the East Blue.

-They normally go to the Grand line or the New world. Better money to be made there…

Sigh… What should I do? I don't know where this creature is or even what its appearance is. Not like I don't have time.

(There were many minor details that I didn't say or expecify since the MC made a rushed escape. Explaining better, the distortion was set to around 30, the same as the other world, due to special characteristics of Emergency missions, this distortion is going to disappear after the creature is dead or the MC escapes from this world. Meaning he failed the quest.)

First. I should raise some funds. There are many pirates here for that. As long as I have Ace here, I shouldn't need to care about strong enemies popping out of nowhere. This is also East Blue, there shouldn't be strong enemies here in the first place.

I got some money during the time Ace was coming, but that isn't nearly enough.

As for the boat, I already got one from a medium sized pirate group(20-30). Nothing too great. The pirates didn't even put up a fight, literally, as I attacked them when they were sleeping.

It's obviuos that I killed them, they werent deserving of any mercy, as there were many reports of pillage and raping being done by them.

Later I will go to the plaza and set up another stand to look for decent crew mates. The last one was just a front in order to "bait" Ace.

-...Ah?

Ace woke up.

-We will go later to the plaza to look for some crew, you can accompany me if you want, or you can go look around the place, perhaps find a better boat.

With his luck I find it possible that he is going to find the creature though…

-Sure! I will go look around.

Of course, leave me to do the heavy work…

-Wait! There is still one thing to take care of!

-What is it Ace?

-Who is going to be the Captain?

-... Wasn't that supposed to be me? I said

A few hours later

On the plaza, a group of pirates were discussing fervently.

-WHATCH'YA SAY?! C'UME HERE!

-Stop. I said.

The pirates momentarily stopped.

-Here. I want you to write the names of the islands nearby and a light sketch of their locations. The more you know, the better your score. As long as you can do that, you can become a possible candidate. The rest can just apply for another position.

The pirates looked a little awkward, most of them probably didn't know much about navigation in general.

-Alright then. Said one of the pirates.

He picked the paper and started to write at high speeds.

After 10 min, a decently sketched map of the nearby islands was drawn.

-Wow. I didn't think I would find a decent navigator around these parts.

-Please, don't compare me with these pirates. I have studied the waters and currents of the ocean since I was 3 years old with my father who was a Marine. I have over 25 years of experience on my belt.

The pirates were outraged.

-What did this brat say?! Get him boys!

All of the pirates around attacked the boy, but he skillfully dodged them all and knocked them all out.

-I might look weak but I know how to fight, but I do hope to not fight under any circumstances. The navigator isn't supposed to be the fighter in a crew.

-Indeed, as long as the navigator knows how to fight then that's fine. I said

-Welcome aboard, we will be leaving as soon as I finish getting the other parts filled.

After a few hours I found a decent cook, boatswain and shipwright. And with me working as a first mate, we only lacked a doctor and a sniper.

(For the crew positions I just searched for One piece crew positions.)

But I could work as a doctor in the meantime. The navigator would work as a second mate, and finally, a decent bunch of sailors to work on the ship in general.

The reason why it was so easy to find crew members was due to the pay I was giving them. 1000 Berries a day with the first month given in advance. Here in the middle of the East blue, it's a decent amount of money.

They probably thought they could pick the money and leave… Good luck to the ones who will try.

I got this money from raiding pirates at night. But with this I already spent all of the money I had left. With the boat repairs, supplies and all of that.

Later that day at night

-Okay, I think there isn't going to be anyone coming at this time. Tomorrow we will meet at the third pier at 10 AM. Be sure to be there when the time comes.

-Just one more thing, our capitan has a scar on his face, and he cares a lot about it, so he wears a bandana to cover his face, be sure to not mention it. As long as you do that, you will find that our captain is a very nice guy. Until later everyone.

And what is our captain doing right now? Well…

You could see a large explosion on the centre of the island.

A man wearing a long red cape, a large straw hat and a black bandana could be seen in the middle of a sea of unconscious people.

This man, without a doubt, is Ace, but how did he get here in the first place?

Well… All of it started when he went to look for a boat.

He found a place selling incredible food. The price? It didn't matter.

He ate and ate and … Ate. Until he became a round ball. Then, he left without paying.

Obviously the restaurant chief wasn't pleased and sent guards after him.

That wouldn't be a problem normally for Ace, but these guys weren't just any guards.

They were the guards serving the Noble family group.

This restaurant was one of the highest class restaurants on the entire island. And Ace just ate thousands of Berry's worth of food.

This led to him defeating wave after wave of more powerful guys, eventually leading him to the center of the island where the Noble family resides.

The battle was… Quick to say the least. He defeated everyone with his Haoshoku Haki before they even had the chance to approach him, this was what caused the explosion.

The devil fruit user resisted a bit but Ace just kicked him in the guts and he fell unconscious.

(In the wiki it says Ace has all three forms of Haki. So I plan to use them.)

And so that leaves us to the present. Where Ace just destroyed the entire Noble family pirate group.

-What did you do, Ace? I said while coming from the trees.

I ran all the way here after hearing the explosion.

-These guys are so annoying! Just because I didn't pay one time!

-...

-Lets just see what we can find inside and bring it into our boat. I said

-I think there is a good boat somewhere around here. They said this pirate group was big after all.

This is the law of the seas, a pirate group rises and falls like the waves.

No one will care for too long, after a while they will disappear like dust. Most people don't remember the name of any pirate group from 20 years ago. Only Rogers and some bigger single targets. And since the navy and the world government are alway suppressing news, you can imagine just how many people were buried in history.
