I picked a small cube-like object up. It had the size of a nail, and I threw it into the sky. The cube shined slightly and a drone the size of a human head appeared. I then gave the drone a small tactical net and some tranquilizers I made an hour ago. Let's go, it's just an ant.

The drone flew towards the ants I got right on top of the golden one. It didn't seem to care as it just kept cutting the tree in front of it.

The drone then dropped the tranquilizer right on top of the group of ants and in a few seconds, all ants were knocked out. It then used a net to catch the ant and, just like that, mission complete.

When you put it like this, the Jagras are really impressive.

I entered the dark cave and drank a night vision potion, something that didn't exist in the game.

It enhances my vision just enough so that I can see perfectly in the dark. Considering that my vision is already better than most, with the potion I should have no problems while down there.

My clones went first while one clone stayed in the entrance in case a monster came back or someone came because of the SOS call.

It smelled horrible here, but at least there is no monster's in sight.

Me and some clones then started to dig the ground fast, and soon we found a boy looking at us in absolute despair, bleeding on the ground.

He was dirty and without his Palico companion. I couldn't see his backpack and his Long sword was broken in half.

When he saw us he just fainted on the spot.

One of the clones went in and gave him a mega potion in hopes that some of the damage he suffered would heal, and another clone used some bandages with some healing dust.

I sat on a rock to take a look at my ant while my clones did all of the work.

A few minutes later one of my clones who went deeper into the caves found a nest filled with eggs. Most likely the Jagras eggs.

They sell for a decent amount let's get them all.

After carrying the boy outside of the hole I finally found his Palico unconscious in a collapsed cavern.

He would be a cute Palico had it not been for all the dirt around. At least I think it's a male, and I ain't gonna check that.

There is only one thing I didn't understand. Where is the Jagras? Did it die later to another predator or did it leave thinking that the invaders had died?

An hour in and still nothing. I would prefer to fight a Jagras than any other monster in the forest…

Thankfully a group of hunters appeared with some Wingdrakes. Seeing the state of the boy, the experienced hunters immediately knew what to do.

After loading up the boy on a stretcher and having the wind drakes carry him, we left the forest. Not before a roar was made and something jumped from the trees.

The beast had dark fur and a set of shining eyes. How could I not know what this was? One of the apex normal large monsters of the Ancient forest and many other forests. The Nargacuga.

The Nargacuga had a Bloody Jagras on its mouth. Well, now I know what happened to it. The Nargacuga looked at us leaving but didn't do anything to stop us.

Suddenly from the bushes, a small furball appeared. It looked at the Jagras greedily before cuddling with his mother's tail.

I see, a monster and its child huh. Well, that's new.

Upon arriving back in Astera, I took a bath in a wooden bathtub.

Ten minutes ago I left the boy in the healing quarters as asked by the goddess. For some reason, his Patron didn't want me to leave him in the forest camp thinking it was too dangerous. So I carried him way over here. The hunters said I was kind and thanked me for doing this.

It's all good anyway as now I am free for the rest of my stay here.

There is only one problem. I can't read this world language very well. My diary was written in English but everything else is written in the new world language.

The thing is, everything I am hearing is being translated to me by Lylia, but she can't translate written texts for some reason. She can read it for me but she said it was a bother.

Hence I had my clones go and collect some reading books so that I can learn how to read and speak this shitty language. For the next two days, I will have my clones go on hunting missions and gather money and knowledge. As for my reward? The goddess will give me the ticket after the boy recovers, so I have to wait anyway.

As for my ant. I left it in the ecological research team who were more than happy to study it. They will return it to me unharmed later on.
