Chapter 35

"Wow, if I knew that speeches could help win girls, I would have done it long time now." Ian taunted. "I guess I could wait for someone else."

"Oh, My love, I missed you a lot." She said against her exasperated breath.

"Ok, that is all quite moving but we need to find Amy, if she is inside then maybe she is in danger." Simon walked passed Yiana and moved closer to Jamie.

"It's fine, they won't hurt her." Jamie concluded.

"How can be so sure?" Delia asked. "Your sister is living up with the sense of revenge."

"Because, Amy is the last heir to the throne." Alex finally added. His hand still crossed. He voice still calmed, he stared into their eyes. "And the one who can change the course of time, if she decides for it."

"How you knew that?" Yiana asked. Then finally assemble the fact why she found her familiar when she first met her; she resembled the sister of her great greatgreat grandmother, the first one who married on land. That's what her mother kept saying.

"Well, I knew it the day she walked into the room of illusions. No one can enter except if you are royalty. Remember." Alex stared into Simon's eyes.

"I recognized her the day I meant her itself." Jamie confessed. He finally broke free from her embrace and paced closer to the wall, and took out the Pen of Glim. He placed it on the ice and waited. The golden light, gave access to the gate that was covered in with the ice. Jamie pushed opened the door. "I need you to give me way. I need to talk with my sister."

And ultimately, all the ice melted off the walls, giving them the permission to enter into the property. The ice figure that was standing protecting the entrance moved aside letting them inside the castle. "Oh man, I completely lost track of walking through these. I remembered how I ran in these corridors, practiced my magic spell in the garden."

A sense of chilled air blew on them, and gave them the feeling that Merilia is really out there waiting for her revenge. And somehow make them ponder if Amy would choose to fight them or just forgive them. Alex knew that he can't take it if she decides to leave. She has to be with him, and she needs to understand.

Simon felt a sense of regret that he bought her to the island, maybe she was better off on the island. They now entered the room that they all been waiting to see. The path of truth. "I can't believe I'm walking on the path of truth." Yiana said as she walked on the broken tiles deeper inside the room. Finally they reached the place where the Princess was frozen.

"Oh dear god, my sister. What have you done to yourself?" Jamie stepped on the ice and lightly placed his head on the ice barrier. "I will deliver you."

"Amy!" Alex began to scream, his voice broken and tired. He waited for too long to have her again in his arms and these more few moments began to really be a pain. "She should be here, let's look for her." They all dispersed. "Amy, where are you?"

"Amy, Mi. Amor." A sheer of pain ran through his heart as he rest his eyes on her. He should be frightened or worried.Amy was there. She was standing on the ice, her naked feet slightly twisted inside. Her body figured changed; she appeared slimmer and her arms were thin as a delicate piece of branch. Her eyes dark circled and her eye lids appeared more tired and heavy. Her lips small and black as ink, her hairs loose and almost grey. Her face wrinkled and black stains or nerves visible all over her body, just like black wet ink would spread over plain paper.

Behind that terror, Alex could still see the pain in her eyes. He could feel the fact that she was pleading in those tears that were coming out of her eyes. Hence, she remained still, watching them, unconsciously she fell on the ground, the next moment. Her body jiggled and trembling. She keeps opening her mouth maybe to say something but couldn't.

The surrounding started to crumble with heavy noise. As if something was about to surface from beneath them. Another moment passed, when the place where she lied, was cracked as small creature began to appear. They surrounded her, with their small trident and their horns seemed to be burning as fire. Amy sniffled a few more tears as they approached her. Their pointed noise, and bloody eyes, were enough to guess who they were. "Nemises." Jamie took out the pen of Glim, ready to take down the servants of the hell, to save that one person he was awaiting for so long to see. His niece.Nemises would rather tries to hit her with their trident and the one who makes the soul suffer the more he would feel his energy inside him. That is one bonus point hell given them as being their faithful servants, of course in hell they were bigger. Right now they took their avatar self to be able to be on land.

"Leave her alone." Alex threw a bunch of fire light on them. And Simon struck one with his fist as he walked closer to Amy. "Amy, my love." Her eyes were damp with tears and her lips still murmuring something. Simon and Alex kneeled down at her, carefully holding her up, they finally understood what she wanted to say.

Amy assembled herself and finally whispered, "I don't want to die." Her voice more of a rumble, if one don't have a sharp ears.

"You won't. I won't let you." Alex bitterly let go. "Jamie, what's all these about?"

"You said they won't hurt her." Simon brushed away some hairs strands off her tired face. "Amy, can you hear me?"

Jon and Ian paced closer to her, "My god, I think I know what's wrong with her."

"It's the curse." Ian completed. Their eyes still lurking at the latter they stood still. Simon face was blanked as well; he was familiar of the curse that binded with the spell.Someone of same blood line should be sacrificed to end the curse. And Amy as her daughter was the first in line for that. She should be the one to pay for the sins her mother decided once.

"It is the part of the bargain, the princess needs to follow now." The gentle stood in the shadows, his eyes fixed them, although they can't see it.

"The gentle," Mark spoke first. He looked honored and disappointed at the same time. "You were here the whole time?"

"You have helped her." Jack walked forth and bellowed annoyingly, as the gentle nodded in a yes motion. "How can you let her die? She is innocent in all these."

"Hell and Heaven doesn't participate in the material decision human do. We are here to indulge our laws and condition, and let the person decides what to choose."

"What kind of laws is that an innocent should perish the decision of her ancestors?" Simon still holding her head, he loosen his grab afraid to hurt her more. He can't let her just die here. Every second that pass it felt that he was the one who is dying and not Amy.

"Alas, it is nothing but the law of nature." He paused. " When Princess Merilia, choose to do that spell, she was aware of the circumstances that would follow. So taking her consent we are just following our part of bargain."

"I'm well aware of that law, if you choose the law you don't have an option, and if you choose conditions you go against the law." Mark argued.

"No one really wins that way. Except for heaven and hell I guess."Jack nooded.

"How do we stop it?" Jamie stood finally ready to speak again. "I can't let her die, if that what you'll suggest. She has nothing to do with the decision my sister took."

"Tell us." Jon persisted.
