"You don't let go of any opportunity do you?"

Joel whispered to Tom as they both watched the ladies shop.

Tom had suggested for them to go shop for evening gowns for Lisa and Anna. Tom believed Lisa had no evening dress and even though she tried to convince him that she did, he still offered to buy her a dress. He wanted to spend his money on her. He wanted to be convinced that the dress she was going to wear wasn't one she had worn beside Li Chen.

"Come on, I'm also buying for Anna. You don't have to be uncomfortable about it" He had convinced her and without any other option, Lisa had relented.

Tom looked at Lisa and Anna from where he was sitting, with Joel beside him. Once in a while he saw it— the way Lisa looked at him. And even if there were no emotion in her eyes, he was glad to know she stole glances at him.
