do the job right

the streets were still a mess from Breck's mistake. to clean up the mess Dutchess had to offer him special guidance leading to now. the two stood before an alleyway. from an outsider's perspective, the tall burly man leads the rather stick-like lady into a dark sketchy place. in reality, however, that sticky lady was the very angry dutchess. on the other hand, the well-built man was in danger. she pointed her finger down the path.

Breck obediently took the lead into the alley. dutchess followed behind taking the area from behind. after a certain point, she grabs his shoulder.

Dutchess: this feels like a good time for, a learning experience.

H stops in place and she takes her right hand then, without effort pushes him to the side. he looks down stealing a glance at her face. from his line of sight, even with her dark hair covering most of her expression. She was still angry that was very clear. which was understandable given it's only been an hour. then his eyes start to come down to her arms and hands. they were gesturing at something. following the movements she's clearly waving at the area in front of them.

Dutchess: in your criminal career as a gangster, grunt what do you make of this?

Dutchess continues to wave at the area in front. he squints his eyes the area was rather dark. there was a trash can and some trash bags, burnt cigarettes, and a crushed box it came from. there were not any fliers nor graffiti on the walls. the walking path appeared rather clear of obstructions.

Breck: looks like a normal alleyway, a bit cared for nothing strange.

she looked at him less with anger and more with wonder.

Dutchess: how long exactly have been in a gang? also how long have you been in the city?

he looks back at her not sure what she's getting at.

Breck: I've been here about 7 years now and joined the gang 5 years ago.

In that moment a little bit of her anger dissipated and she just seemed disappointed upset but disappointed.

Dutchess: possibly a really sheltered gang? that's even possible?

she muttered to herself. Breck couldn't grasp what was happening but felt judged.

Dutechess: what even did your gange do for money?

Breck: we offered businesses protection in exchange for money.

Dutchess: ah that type of gange.

At some point during this exchange. she stop expressing anger and was displaying pity. you could still feel hostility but the disappointment was obvious

Breck: what's happening here?

dutchess: buyers remorse, let us move on.

Breck: huh?

dutchess walks to the trash can grouped with some trash bags and points.

Dutchess: this and too well place and not all over the place.

then she walks further in and points the cigarettes on the ground.

Dutchess: this is not enough trash on the ground at all.

she continues walking in then turns-to-face break. gestures her left arm to the wall on his right.

Dutechess: there is nothing on this wall or the other one.

she spins around in a 360 looking around.

dutchess: despite this being an alleyway which would be way cozier than a street no homeless on site. true any of these statements could be refuted, but when you consider before recently this town was lawless. what reason would one have to keep this place so clean? before these thoughts, I notice some thugs strategically place out front of here. so I thought it was possibly an enemy gange base now after looking a bit. Someone moving something in and out of here it better not be drugs. let's keep moving.

she turns around and keeps walking. Breck follows behind. they continue for about 15min then some thugs show up coming from the opposite direction. they spot Dutchess and run at her but their faces collide with the ground right away. She keeps walking ignoring everything. breck stops for a sec to process then returns to following her. before long they reached a clearing it was a boxed-in area with a small factory. the duchess let out a long sigh and her frustrations were restored with vengeance.

Dutchess: it really was drugs

to be continued.....
