Chapter 3

"What does revolu-tonarie mean?" Harry asks with a lost look.

"Oh… It's something you will learn about when your older," Petunia deflects.

"That's stupid," says Dudley bluntly as he strides into the main room.

Harry, sick of hearing about being too young, nods along with his cousin.

Petunia lets out a long sigh. no doubt missing the no questions rule she vetoed in the first week of coming here, she also missed the little control with Dudders. She always gave him food, games, and toys, but whenever she wanted sleep or some time to herself. She just had to say no more TV and Scooby Doo and he would become surprisingly obedient.

"Right," she snaps out of her funk with a clap. "Let's go out and celebrate the new house. I heard about a vendor nearby that sells actual food," she says and within seconds Dudley is already clawing and jumping at the door to open it despite his age-related shortness.

"Come on! Open sesame!"

Harry runs up to the door, pushes it along with Dudley wanting the promised 'actual food' as well. But unlike Dudley's futile attempt at the door, it just clicks open with Harry doing it.

Petunia easily notices this and actively suppresses a shudder. Even with the acceptance of Harry, she has developed a bit more of a fear towards magic recently. Unlike before when she was just jealous of Harry and Lily, this fear is more pointed towards magic in general due to her blaming it for dropping her here instead of Harry. She also recently discovered that recently whenever she witnesses magic around Harry, a slightly sickening sense of vertigo hits her.

After a nice walk down to a store with a billboard of a fish being chopped, we finally got food that vaguely reminded them of fast food, if said fast food was meant for bugs.

Even after the month of homelessness, the three still felt sickened when eating. Even if it tasted heavenly like the weirdly oily grubs that they were all eating now did, the texture was hard to get over. We quickly ate the best tasting food they had in the past month and paid the large non-human apparently named Jericho. Petunia went back to her job and the two kids found themselves in their newly rented apartment.

Harry was spending his time attempting and failing to read a book filled with a few vaguely English looking letters that was called Piltovian in front of the window. Dudley was drawing random sketches and lines on a piece of wood with some crayons that Petunia had most definitely not picked up from a dumpster in upper Piltover.

"What you drawing?" Harry said softly.

"This is the mystery gang, and this is their mystery machine!" Dudley laughed.

Harry, not knowing who they are just nodded dumbly.

A few minutes go by, and the group Harry saw earlier that day returns, with a few new members sporting obvious injuries.

"Those revo-lutons are back!" Harry states with awe at the mysterious group.

"What? Where!" says Dudley as he forcefully pushes himself into Harry to the window to get to it. Old habits die hard.

"There," Harry meekly replies pointing down at the group entering the building.

"Let's go and see what they are. If mommy won't tell us, then we can find out ourselves."

"But w-" Harry starts but is cut off by Dudley.

"Come on, lets go see! If something bad happens you can do that magic thing, and nothing will happen," Dudley urges.

Harry, liking being able to do something he wants to do finally agrees.

"Yes! Now open the door," Dudley says while pointing towards the door.

They 'stealthy' make their way down and find a small, frosted window pointing into the back room of the building the group's in.

"We can't keep taking this, every day I hear about at least one more person being beaten up by enforcers just because they are 'keeping the piece!' I don't want my children to grow up and suffer from those corrupt fuckers," a loud feminine voice comes from a shape of blue from the other side of the window.

"Yes, this is why we need Zaun! With our separation from Piltover we could build ourselves up and never suffer from anymore of those searches the enforcers do whenever an alarm goes off above," a passionate, yet gravelly voice yells out from one of the darker shapes.

"Silco's right, if they can't come down here and do whatever they want then we could finally make a difference for the Lanes," a large brown shape agrees along with a multitude of people voicing out their own approval of it.

"It's a pipe dream, how would we even get the council to agree with our demands?" a fourth shape walks into the conversation, each step reflecting their heavy weight with the groaning of wood.

"With a show of force and push all of Piltover's Enforcers out of the lanes. The council would be scared to send anyone into Zaun if we show how big of a threat we could be," the darker shape rebuts bringing forth a whole lot of mixed responses, half agreeing with it, while the others shouting their denial.

"Sorry brother, but that could make our issue even worse if it goes wrong. What if we instead just do a show of united power instead of force. If they see us together as one instead of the pit of disorder, they see us as now. Then they might listen to our demands with greater interest instead of fighting a civil war," the large brown shape from before proposes.

"Fine Vander, but I fully believe that we should push them out," Silco complies.

"When should we do this 'show of power?'" a male voice asks out from a pink shape in the back.

"It will take a while to gather enough to support us, but I'd say around a year or so. Mainly since Progress Day would be happening then and may lead to more pressure on the council what with the outside presence watching us and judging Piltover as a whole," says the large brown shape called Vander.

As they continue to lay out their plans, Harry and Dudley sit and stare from the window.

"Do you know what they mean by show of power?" Dudley asks.

"I think it means they going to show how strong they are," Harry guesses.

As they speak and forget that they're in an alley inside the Lanes, 2 pairs of grey, bluish eyes stare at them from a corner.

"I told you we wouldn't be the only ones to listen in on the important meeting mom and dad are doing." A young girly voice comes from one pair.

"Shush!" the other responds in a more mature yet still girly tone.

This grabs the attention of the two cousins, who look up towards the pair spying on them.

"Hello?" the foolishly brave Dudley voices out while Harry looks on seeing if he should get Dudley and run.

"Hi, who are you two?" the older sounding pair of eyes comes fully around the corner revealing a pink set of hair above.

"Harry," "Dudley." They both give their names in seeing someone only a few years older than them.

"Cool, I'm Vi and the shy one back there is Pow-Pow," the pinkette replies.

"Don't call me that!" the blue-grey eyes still hiding at the corner rushes around in embarrassment revealing their own set of blue hair above.

"Are you related to pink and blue people inside?" Harry surmises in his semi-broken Piltovian.

"How did you guess?" the blue haired 'Pow-Pow' says in amazement.

"Its obvious Pow-Pow." Vi laughs lightly.

"How? Oh… The hair."

Harry laughs, as does Vi and Dudley embarrassing her more.

"So why are you two here, your parents in there too?" Vi asks after the laughter dies down.

"No, we curious about big group," says Harry.

"Oh, okay." Vi nods. "Why do you speak like that?" 'Pow-Pow' bluntly puts.

"We not from around here," Harry answers.

"Harry magic!" Dudley says trying to show off.

"Really! Can we see?" Both Vi and 'Pow-Pow' stare at him in wonder.

"Sorry Vi, Pow-Pow. Only works when scared." Harry sadly states knowing he can currently get it to work only when he's scared.

'Pow-Pow' turns red and glares at Vi. "My name is not Pow-Pow! Its Powder!" She yells.

This yell turns out to be a bit too loud and manages to catch the attention of the people inside the building, within seconds a large brown-haired man which they easily assume is Vander, along with a dark-haired slim man who was obviously Silco, the unnamed rotund man from inside, along with the parents of the two girls were staring at the four with varying expressions from humored too downright furious.

"Vi did it!" Powder squeaks out.

(Its showing authors notes not working for me... So I'm gonna place a small note here just in case.)

Give feedback if you want your influence in this story to be one of the things preventing me from destroying this story with my own hubris.

Thank you for reading this first chapter in hopefully an overarching story that makes sense and doesn't follow too many tropes.

I am unfortunately really struggling to get the personalities right, so feedback on how to not do that would be appreciated. Even just a 'bad' or 'good' on the paragraph comments would be accepted!
