Chapter 35: Him or The Portals

P.O.V Leonard

She was calm, her eyes never leaving the figure of Richard Myles as she walked towards me. I wasn't breathing, my heart got filled by her presence that much.

Just minutes ago, I fell weak. I lost everything. I was in the plan of using all of my powers against Richard, but the high chances of my failure to save her were still there. I had tears. I felt like a lose-tempered kid, who was about to turn the world upside down if anything happened to her. But Darren saved us both. I never believed in miracles, but this one was real.

Standing beside me, she gently held onto my hand, which was now fully recovered. She was still looking at Richard with a serious face.

"God! I was scared that I lost you." My voice cracked. I felt tears stinging the back of my eyes while squeezing her hand tightly. Letting in the warmth of her being, I fulfilled my emptiness. I communicated it to her, keeping our conversation private from even Darren and the others.
