47 To the underworld

Leo's POV:

Eli died, Eli died because I didn't take things seriously, because of my selfishness Eli was killed. This feeling of lost, this irritation one that I have never experienced before I need to crush it underneath and make it disappear. I need to kill, I need to destroy! Yet nothing was left none survived I killed all the soldiers and still my rage endures. I need more, I need to kill more.

Right in front me I saw people running, so I chased them. Finally more prey to kill, when the prey notice that I was already right behind them they started to bombard me with spells.

"GET OUT OF MY WAY!" I swatted their annoying magic with the palm of my hands.

That was when the one with the greatsword charged at me. His sword swung downward, if I take that strike will this rage be lessened. The sword slice through a portion of my skin but it couldn't penetrate my bones. That was it? Was that all?! This wont be able to satisfy my rage!

I bit the hand of the greatsword user. He screamed in agony. I was about to make a hole in his belly using my hand but before I could do so, I was knocked away.

A girl wielding a hammer struck me, I charged toward her at full speed but before I could reach her I was penetrated by many arrows. Blood started flowing in some areas in my body.

"IRRITATING! ALL OF YOU JUST DIE ALREADY!" I screamed at the top of my lungs. I released the entirety of my killing intent, I didn't hold back even a tiny bit of my bloodlust. I drowned them with a burst of all my mana.

All of them now lay flat on the ground waiting for me to kill them. Well that's what was suppose to happen but a girl with silver hair and a book floating behind her stood up. She was enduring the pressure I was emitting. Then with a trembling voice she spoke.

"I'm disappointed Leo, you have become so weak."

Me weak? Even though they're the ones on the ground barely able to fight.

"Even without speaking I know what you're thinking. Yes Leo you are strong but that's only the outer strength. On the other hand your inner strength the one I know of has completely disappeared."

Inner strength? What is she talking about? Whatever I just need to kill this noisy girl so that both these rage and irritation might go away.

When I thought of attacking her my body wouldn't follow I just stood there looking at her confused.

"Will you really let it end like this Leo? Unable to fulfill your promise with Eli. Will you continue raging about like a child unable to accept Eli's death? I thought better of you Leo. Will something like death really stop the mighty Leonard?"

... She was right I LEONARD TRANOR, will not let something like death take from me. I will get Eli back even if I need to scour the underworld and threaten death itself.

A year later

A Certain Demon King's POV:

Some intruders have infiltrated my castle that I the mighty werewolf Demon King has been guarding for thousands of years. They were only seven intruders but they killed my army in only a few seconds. Still those servants were weak I need them not. I alone am enough to defend the gate to the underworld.

Tap tap tap...

Their finally here the door burst open.

"Demon Lord I have no time for you, tell me where the gate is and you'll live." (Leo) A human boy suddenly enters and demanded me a Demon lord to answer him. A mere human was the one that actually killed my subordinates? No it must be that demi-God beside him that did it.

"Hmph! Insolent children I will kill you" The moment I thought of attacking, I suddenly felt light, I couldn't feel my body. I then heard the boy's voice.

"I'll just find it myself."

It was then I saw my body with no head, before everything turned black I finally understood what just happened.

Dane's POV:

When I felt his aura at full force I was finally able to grasp how far our strengths differ.

For example that Demon Lord he just killed was one of the most ancient Demon alive. Yet he still killed it like it was just a random nobody.

If the six of us fought that Demon Lord it would still take a few more seconds, and it would have been able to retaliate...

Damn it! I should stop thinking about such useless things, what I' am suppose to be thinking about is how to get Adela to safety.

"Eva I found the Gate open it." (Leo) The agitation in Leo's voice was starting to irritate me.

"Sure Leo step back" (Eva)

Evangeline was actually ok with this? I thought She and Elizabeth where love rivals? No, if she doesn't do this who knows what that guy might do. Still going into the underworld seem a tad bit dangerous. As if reading my mind Leo spoke.

"You guys stay here and guard the entrance. I need to have a little talk with death."

"What do you mean Leo?" (Selina)

"What I mean is all of you will just be in the way, and I really do need some people to guard the gate." (Leo)

"No can do Leo you need me at the other side if you want to get back here using the gate." (Eva)

"No need Eva I will figure something out when I'm there... This is not up for debate all of you just need to stay here and guard the entrance." (Leo)

Before anyone could reply Leo entered the gate to the underworld.

Death God's POV:

Someone has entered my domain, and he actually made half of my Liches, cease to exist. This human kept on rampaging about asking for my whereabouts.

I got a bit curious on the human so I checked his name on my list, and there it was Leonard Tranor, Time of death ???. There was nothing this list of mine tells me when a person will die no matter the place, in all the multiverse. As long as you have mortal soul your name shall be listed.

This was the first time I saw question marks besides a name, well on humans. The Gods have a similar thing because of their immortality the list can never show their numbers, but Gods do die but from some external reason. So does that mean that this boy is the same as Gods, or is it because the list cannot determine his fate. Either way the boy is causing a huge disturbance in my domain he has exterminated even my wraith lords.

It would seem meeting him is the best solution, I can guess what he desires, let me see what he will do once he finds out that he came here in vain.

I then teleported in front of the boy, in front of Leonard. The moment I saw him face to face, was the moment I understood why the list couldn't gauge him. This human boy standing in front of me was releasing an insane amount of bloodlust and mana. If I wasn't seeing it I wouldn't believe that a human child can release such an intense pressure, it was like I was facing one of those Gods of war before their deaths. The insanity, the wrath, the fearlessness, and the hope, he feels alike to those Gods of war.

If he could see behind my black hood, he would've realized I was smiling in amusement. So with my death scythe at hand I spoke to him.

"So child, what brings you here in my domain?"

"Death you have something that I want, I came here to get it."

"Pray tell, what is it that you want?"

"I want Elizabeth Rogue's soul."

As I thought that was what he came for.

"I'm sorry child but a soul that has departed from the body can never return, and also even if it could why shall I give it to you?"

The moment I finished my sentence, it felt like my entire domain shook. The pressure that the boy was releasing was even affecting me, and not in a small way.

"You God of Death, do you know if even Gods can die?... If not care to find out?" (Leo)

"Ha, ha, ha.... Boy not that I think you can do it but, if you kill me then you would never be able to leave this place."

"oh, so you can be killed... So tell me why won't I be able to leave?"

"There must always be someone to govern the land of the dead, there must always be someone to reap the souls and guide them. Even as we speak, I'm reaping and guiding lost souls to the cycle of reincarnation. If by some miracle you are able to kill me, you would need to take my place."

Once I was done talking I thought the boy would hesitate but contrary to what I predicted, the boy seemed even more resolute.

"Such trifling matters are none of my concerns as of now. All I want at this moment is to bring Elizabeth back to life and fulfill my promises. If killing you brings me a step closer to my goal, then I will deal with the consequences later."

Without warning the boy using his hands made a slashing motion as if it was a sword. It was just his hand but I unconsciously blocked it using my scythe.

"If this is what you want child so be it."
