36 The stone of truth

A girl with long blond hair, red eyes, was wearing a black uniform and skirt. The girl was sleeping under a shady tree early in the morning. The morning breeze was great. The sunlight was just right. Another girl approached her it was a girl with short red hair and dark skin she too wore the same uniform as the girl who was resting. Her eyes where the color of lavender. She smiled at the girl under the shade.

"What a sight a vampire basking under the sunlight while sleeping." The girl who was resting rubbed her eyes and yawned before replying.

"Well I'm a half so there's no problem not to mention my fathers a high daywalker." She yawned again before continuing "So what do you want Selina?"

"Nothing much Eli just bored. Oh, by the way, I saw the Wingled sisters sparring somewhere near here. The field they where using has a lot of craters. I feel sorry for the environment."

"What do you expect those two don't really know the term holding back." The girl named Eli sighed. Then the girl named Selina remembered something "OH right! Those two were talking about Leo while fighting."

Upon hearing his name Eli showed a complicated smile happy yet at the same time sad. "Leo huh. It's been a year since we last saw him. I wonder how he's doing?" Selina smiled brightly to cheer up Eli. "It's Leo right I'm sure he's fine. Can you even imagine that guy losing to anyone?"

Eli shook her head left and right before answering. "Of course not! That guy can probably walk in the middle of the end of the world and remain unscratched. He would even laugh and say is that it?" The two girls looked at each other and laughed. "Hahaha yeah right. I can totally imagine that! So feeling better now Eli?" Eli smiled at Selina and nodded. "Yeah no matter what happens Leo will survive and I'll, no We'll all be waiting he still has a lot of promises to keep."

When I touched the sword I picked up information flowed into me. This was a demonic sword that was used to kill a thousand sacrifices. Well, whatever I moved forward but the speed and power in my legs were too much. I couldn't move the way I want too, the slight push forward made go way beyond the water dragon. Too far this extra power is incredible!

Water dragon's thoughts:

I jumped a few times and did a few slashes. Ok, I think I get how to move now. I charged forward again and I did a sideward slash. The water dragon couldn't block that was the first hit I got when he was in this form. He flew backward, I picked two weird looking weapons. These were M1911 guns, weapons created from another world. Efficient weapons even a child can use the pinnacle of human desire to kill in another world.

While I was following the flying water dragon I use the guns to shoot him. I like awhile ago shot at the same place until all the bullets where gone. I dropped the guns and took the huge axe I saw. This axe was a legendary weapon wielded by a barbaric hero. The hero used his overwhelming strength to wipe all of his opponents. He died on the battlefield with a smile on his face clearly satisfied. I reached the water dragon and smashed him onto the ground. The scale mail he was wearing was slowly shattering. This power is too much, I waited for my opponent to stand. It took him a few minutes to regain his balance so he can stand. The water dragon looked at me with both amazement and anger.

"Why human? Why are you waiting for me to get up? Are you thinking you can finish me anytime you want?! How embarrassing for a human to look down at me!" The water dragon roared in its human form. He charged at me, he was moving slower than awhile ago. Is it because of the damage he has taken or is it because of my enhance abilities. I picked up the staff beside me. A holy weapon used by a monk who sacrifices his life for the people he cared for. This weapon was used to ward off evil.

The water dragon did a downward slash, I redirected the slash sidewards with the staff and I spun my body a full 360 degrees and hit the water dragon side using the staff. the water dragon coughed up blood. I waited for him to regain his bearings. The water dragon used his divine magic and with that, there was a sudden burst. He was moving as quick as me! So where on even footing now! Now, this is fun! I picked up two one-handed swords one black and one white. These swords where mystical swords representing the female and male side of things. They where a symbol of unity.

Well doesn't matter I moved my body as quickly as possible. The great sound of steel clashing against steel was echoing throughout the field. A few minutes have passed and I was at a clear advantage I was undamaged while the water dragon was breathing heavily. His eyes seem to be blurred. It's time to finish as I was about to pick another weapon my body suddenly felt heavy. All the injuries I received before the unbinding where returning. The distorted reality was changing back. My mind felt like it was burning from the inside. It took all I have to keep my consciousness.

My body couldn't move anymore, Lauria was beside me.

"Master I am sorry I couldn't prolong the unbinded state." I wanted to pat her head but my body couldn't move anymore. No, it's alright Lauria, it's my fault for playing around too much. The water dragon finally noticed the change and started laughing.

"Foolish human you should've beaten me when you stood a chance. Now it's all over." Lauria blocked the water dragon's path, Even when the water dragon was full of injuries I knew Lauria was no match. "Foolish partial human. Do not worry I shall kill you with your master." The water dragon's sword was stopped someone was holding him from behind. It was Joshua. Richard was awake and carried me out of the way. Lauria followed. Joshua who was lifeless awhile ago was smiling.

"hehehe al last I'll be able to get my revenge with my own two hands. TO ALL THE SPIRITS THAT HEAR MY PLEA I SACRIFICE TO YOU MY EVERYTHING!" Joshua was glowing red the water dragon looked distressed.

"Human, you wish to take me with you?" Master that is a self-destruct spell, Joshua will blow up any minute now.

"It's worth it. Rita wait for me I'll be there with you soon." He was smiling and then it happened he and the water dragon disintegrated into nothingness. The next thing that happened must surely be a true miracle.

I heard the voice of a girl saying "You fool! I didn't want you to follow me even here." Then I heard Joshua's voice which shouldn't exist anymore answer "It's your fault leaving me behind, I missed you so much, Rita." "You blockhead! Well, I did miss you too. Let's go Joshua will be together forever." That was the last I heard before my mind faded into unconsciousness.

I slept for two hours Clarabell used healing spells and bandaged me, she even used ice to stop the bleeding. When I woke up me and the group made gravestones for Joshua and Rita. I even made a gravestone for the unnamed water dragon.

Clarabell and Richard didn't oppose it. "Even though that guy was really irritating. I guess in the end he was a little bit cool." Before Joshua died Clarabell woke up so she saw what happened afterward. "Yeah, truly a fool in love," Richard said sounding bitter. "I wish you eternal happiness Joshua." Lauria prayed for his soul. "It was a great battle." That was the only words that can come out of my mouth. With that, the gloomy atmosphere seemed to change. "Master."Lauria sounded amused.

"Truly a battle freak." Clarabell sighed "well if you're not like this you won't be my best friend Gabriel." Richard smiled. "Huh? What's with you guys. Anyway, now that we paid our respects let's go get what we came here for."

We entered the cave it was not really a deep cave just a few steps from the entrance as we were already at our destination. There laid a giant crystal sparkling this was the stone of truth. "Once you touch that you must your question clearly," Lauria explained how the stone of truth works the first to ask a question was Clarabell. "How will I be able to match Gabriel Wolfstein's battle prowess?"

The stone's voice was that of a man "You must discard everything, your past, present, and future. You must discard everything and offer your all to battle." "What the hell that means that is how far off Gabriel is from me!" I asked Lauria if she wanted to ask something but she told me she already did before one time in her forgotten past. So I was the next to ask a question "What lies in my past?"

The stone answered "I am unable to see anything from your past, or your future. My sight is being shrouded by darkness. The only way to answer your question lies in your future." "So even the stone can't answer. So the answer lies in my future." The last to ask a question was Richard. "How can a cure my brother Roland's legs." "The cure you seek lies within the tear of a phoenix."
