32 Memory?

"Then the condition is to help me slay the 3rd generation water dragon that guards the forest of mist." Everyone looked at Joshua in a weird expression of both shock and fear. "A 3rd generation water dragon. Why would you want to kill that?" Richard was visibly sweating, so dragons are really dangerous.

"I have no reason to tell you. If you don't agree with this, I will not guide you. Good luck finding someone other than me that can guide you." "Can you please give me and my companions a minute?" "Whatever its not like I can go anywhere in my condition right now."

My group and I left the room and entered the room next door. Richard was able to rent the whole inn for the day. Incredible the power of money is incredible.

"So what do we do?" Richard asked, "Why don't we just leave that irritating bastard!" Clarabell was really pissed at him. "Yes, I concur nothing good will come in helping such a human." Even Lauria was showing her dissatisfaction. On the other hand, I can't answer cause I don't know the situation. "Hey, Richard can you explain the situation to me I don't really understand." "Oh right I'm sorry Gabriel I forgot about your condition, I'll start explaining."

Before Richard could start explaining to me Clarabell interrupted. "What condition are you talking about? Is there something wrong with Gabriel?" Crap we forgot about Clarabell. Well no use hiding it anymore. I and Richard explained my situation to Clarabell. She listened all throughout the explanation without interrupting.

"Oh, so you're not really Sir Albert's nephew. No wonder I couldn't find anything about you. Well, seeing as I'm a kind and dignified lady I will help you." I looked at Clarabell puzzled "help me?" "Yes, I will help you regain your memories."

She puffed her almost non-existent chest as she proudly stated that. Master that's rude, Lauria commented in my mind. Sorry well, I am grateful "Thanks Clarabell."

She blushed at my statement I wonder why? Richard then coughed "Ahem so going back to the situation at hand. I'll explain about dragons. Dragons are said to be the greatest mistake of the Gods. The very first dragon was created to relieve the boredom of one of the war Gods this dragon is called the "supreme dragon" it is the strongest of all the existing dragons. After its creation, it immediately killed its creator and the war God it was meant to fight. This dragon can match up to the strongest of the Gods, no if it wanted too.

It can kill all the existing Gods. From that Dragon then came six others which are called the first generation. The first generation dragons are "fire, water, earth, wind, dark, and white dragons. They are called the first six from there they started breeding creating the second generation and so forth.

Now there are approximately 30 generations known of the dragon race. After the 10th generation, mutations started happening thus creating different kinds of dragons different from the first generation. So that's the gist of that now let me tell you this the dragons from the 1st to the 5th generation are a whole other level from all the other generations.

They are of the ageless group meaning they have existed and still are existing for a long time now. Also, the generation from 6th onwards have lost their agelessness but still have very long lifespans. So in short dragons are already powerful beings but the 1st to the 5th are the elite. So do you get why I'm hesitating in answering his request?" Such a powerful being! My whole body was shaking in joy. My fighting spirit was raised to the max.

"Such a strong opponent! Let's go, let's go, let's go, let's goooooo! I can't wait! I don't understand why your hesitating Richard. If there is only one path then why not walk it!" "You really deserve to be my master." Lauria smiled at me. Richard looked at me mouth agape, really his mouth was wide open. "I should have known you would say that. You shouldn't have explained how strong dragons were Richard. This guy is a battle freak remember." As if realizing his mistake Richard sighed "Fine let's tell him we agree to his terms."

We told Joshua we agreed to his terms but we weren't leaving right now we needed to wait for tomorrow cause Joshua wasn't fully healed yet. Damn it! What am I suppose to do with this burning excitement. I was thinking while laying in bed Lauria who was beside me spoke "Really master, removing your facade of calmness. How about you rest now so that tomorrow can come faster. It's better to rest now master.

We don't know when we can sleep in a comfortable bed again. Also, it's better to face the opponent at your best rather than sleep deprived right?" Lauria was right but still "I really can't sleep I feel too excited."

"Then master how about a sing a lullaby." "You can sing Lauria?" "Yes, master there are some songs that were considered as weapons that is why the information of singing is within me." "So what your going to sing is used for fighting isn't a battle song going to make me more excited?" "Do not worry master, I also know songs that aren't related to battle." With that Lauria started singing. It was a beautiful song full of parting and longing. Lauria's voice was exquisite it didn't take long before I fell asleep.

I was having another dream of the me who carries those two exquisite twin blades. The pure black one-handed sword as well as the pure blue one-handed sword. This dream felt more real than the last one it felt like a memory deep within me. The other me was fighting an overgrown lizard with six wings. That's the only word I can use to describe it. Then it happened the dream became very clear as if I was one of the spectators who was watching the other me Fight.

After successfully evacuating the people of the village. The guards followed the other me who was fighting the dragon. Upon arriving on the scene the guards stop on their tracks. What they saw on the scene was simply beyond their understanding. A human boy was fighting a six-winged earth dragon one on one. Though the earth dragons were the smallest and weakest among dragons. Fighting one by yourself was impossible, for most races especially the humans. The humans' strength came from their numbers and ingenuity but there was a human boy fighting a dragon head on by himself.

The other me was in pure bliss as he avoided the dragon's tail swing he tried to slash the tail but was only able to scratch it. The dragon did a stomp and out of nowhere pillars of earth were formed around the other me. Seeing the other me trapped the dragon took a deep breath and filled its lungs with air. It lit a tiny fire in its belly forming massive flames it then expelled them through its mouth.

The guards saw that the other me was in a dire situation and were about to move to help the other me. Yet after they steeled themselves to enter the fray the dragon expelled a massive flame from its mouth. They were too late the other me was going to be engulfed by the flames. The guards already held regret for not helping the boy at once. Because of their indecisiveness, they let the boy who helped their village die such a cruel death. "Yeah! This is so much fun!" they heard the voice of the other me who was supposed to be dead.

Before the dragon expelled its flames. The other me destroyed one of the pillars and was able to evade the coming flames. "Yeah! This is so much fun!" The other me dashed forward toward the dragon. The dragon did another tail swing but instead of dodging The other me used the black blade to strike the tail. "I've already seen that if you have nothing new to offer. I'll end this!" The dragon shot a large fireball incomparable to the earlier ones.

"Finally getting a bit more motivated! but." The other me's blue sword started to emit a cold air that surrounded the blade. He pointed the blue blade forward upon contact with the sword the fireball disappeared. Unlike awhile ago when he simply slashed the fireballs this time the sword absorbed the fireball.

The other me raised the black blade "I warn you my swords are dangerous. Especially chaos which embodies destruction itself." The dragon roared at the other me's taunts. It charged forward with its mouth wide open wanting to devour The other me. "I had warned you."

The raised chaos came down on the dragon like a guillotine. The dragon's whole body was cut in half. Even the ground where the dragon was standing was scarred by the attack. With an unhappy tone, The other me spoke "I didn't want to kill you, but you have done too much. I even gave you a chance to escape but instead you charged forward. It was a nice fight... I thank you."

I tried to see the rest of the dream but my head started to hurt. That was when I hear a voice, it was a voice of someone both male and female, both young, and old, both wise and foolish. That's the only way I could describe the voice I heard. "It is not yet time."

I woke up breathing heavily I tried remembering the dream I just had but there was nothing. Lauria who was beside me looked worried. "Master, what happened? I tried to enter your dream using our link but something powerful was blocking me." Something powerful? Who could it be? "I can't remember."

"What is it you cant remember master?" "The dream I just had I can't remember it. It felt like it was something very important, but I can't remember it why?" Lauria looked at me her neutral face showed both sympathy and sorrow "It's alright master, It's alright." Lauria was trying to comfort me, she started hugging me. "Hehehe this feels nice. Your right Lauria thanks. If it really is so important at some point I will remember it. So it doesn't bother me anymore let's go back to sleep. Really thank you, Lauria." I and Lauria started sleeping again while Lauria was hugging me. It was a comfortable sleep.
