33 Wingled Sisters

Two girls both had silver hair and heterochromatic eyes where standing in an empty field. The girl wearing a blue shining knight's armor with a matching blue skirt who wore her twin blades by her waist spoke.

"What's up Eva? Why did you bring me here?" The other girl called Eva was wearing a simple black gown answered.

"Adela, do you remember our promise to that person?" There could be only one person that the two have made a promise. "Of course, it's our promise with Leo right?" Eva smirked "yeah it's that promise. The promise whoever beats him becomes his wife."

"How could I ever forget that promise isn't that the reason why we trained so hard and became the top of this academy?" "Yeah, you're right actually when I said that it was in the heat of the moment. Later when I thought about it. It seemed impossible, Leo's skill was absurd the skill and strength to actually beat a war God. Even if the war God wasn't using his full strength. That still an impossible feat. Yet he had done it with a smile on his face. Every time I remembered that day it makes me shiver."

"I as well can never forget. But why are you telling me this? Are you backing out Eva?" Adela looked disapprovingly at her sister. Eva giggled at her comment and answered. "Of course not. I just simply stated a fact. Though at the time both of us weren't even within his radar, but what about now? I wish to ascertain our strength right now."

"What are you suggesting Eva?" "Just a simple spar we haven't done so in ages." "Your right so what will be the signal?" "How about when this gold coin hits the ground ready yourself Adela."

Eva took a gold coin out of nowhere and tossed it high up. When it hit the ground Adela who had already drawn her blades dashed forward. Anticipating this Eva jump backward and levitated. Adela seeing Eva going to levitate jumped to follow and slashed down at her.

Without even reciting spell words Eva showered Adela with numerous fireballs. Adela slashed all of them in mid-air and landed gracefully on the ground. Now Eva was already high above that even if Adela jumped she wouldn't reach. In this position, she started chanting.

"I CALL UPON THE FURY OF THE HEAVENS! RAIN DOWN ON THE SINNER BEFORE ME! AND CRUSH HER TO HER ETERNAL DEMISE. BRING FORTH THE HAMMER OF JUSTICE AND SMITE MINE ENEMY. METEOR FALL!" When the spell words ended a rain of falling meteors came. This was one of Eva's high-end spells, without even the thought of dodging Adela simply stood there waiting.

When the meteors were about to hit Adela's arms suddenly moved at high speed. Everything that came close was cut to pieces. This was fangs of the wolf a revised version created by Adela. The greatest technique her master Leo taught her. After using it Adela also used levitation at the same height as Eva's.

"Heh, you're able to use levitation now. Well, it is simply a mid-class spell but still it surprising to see you use magic." Eva said sounding genuinely surprised. "Well, I at least need to know how to use a spell like this. Seeing that higher mages like you use this spell to escape sword range. I who uses a sword to fight am clearly at a disadvantage." Adela answered truthfully.

Eva smiled while she remembered something. "If it was Leo he would've simply jumped the distance and use his beloved blade serenity to cancel the spell levitation. Truly an absurd answer only he could perform." "Yeah, your right." Adela agreed wholeheartedly. "Well, it's because he's like that. We fell in love with him. Strong and kind." "Courageous and warm." "He truly was the one who loved battle the most, and in return, battle loved him the most." Looking at each other the sisters' smiled and said in unison. "And because of that, he is the one man we love the most." As if that line was another starting signal the fight continued.
