30 Let's go

I was in agony my memory hasn't returned yet and now I need to fill my head with a bunch of spell words. What so good about using spells anyway? I haven't use any and I can still fight so what's the point in knowing any. Though I have no memories of my past self, but based on how my body moves I really am more of the frontal assault type rather than the support mage type. "What do you think Lauria."

My goth loli binded weapon looked at me "yes I do think that master is more suited for the front than chanting some spells. Clearly that Albert has no idea on what he is doing." I see Lauria you're displeased. "No I'm not!" That was the first time I saw Lauria clearly show emotion. She was pouting I know the reason why. "Hey, Lauria even if I do learn some spells I will always use you. Spells aren't really my thing so as usual I'm going for the front. So don't worry ok Lauria." I patted her head and smiled. Lauria nodded she smiled for a moment and returned her expression to the usual neutral expression. Well, no use grumbling about it better start memorizing.

Three days have passed since I started memorizing spell words. Today was a Sunday so there were no classes and is considered free time. Somebody was entering my room, the person entering had no killing intent so let's not mind him. I continue to sleep even though I know there was an intruder in my room.

Well, the moment he shows any killing intent I'll cut him down. The person in question approached my bed and started shaking me. "Gabriel wake up." This voice was Richard's I opened my eyes and indeed Richard was there standing inside my room. I rubbed my eyes to try and shake off my drowsiness.

I yawned "So Richard what do you want? You do know today is a rest day?" Richard bowed to apologize "I'm sorry Gabriel I know its early in the morning and today is free time but you're the only I can ask to help." Lauria started moving as well she, as usual, was sleeping beside me. Well, she's like my little sister so I guess its alright. "Master who are you calling your little sister. Well if master wishes it then I guess I can be your little sister." Crap I forgot I allowed her to read my mind.

Trying to change the subject I asked Richard again "So what do you need Richard?" "Oh right... Gabriel, can you accompany me to find the stone of truth?" "The stone of truth? what is that?" Instead of Richard Lauria was the one who answered. "The stone of truth a mystical item that can answer any one question. As long as you haven't asked it anything yet it will answer your question with 100% accuracy. May it be a question of the past, of another dimension, or even the future it will always give an answer."

"Wow! for real Lauria then if I ask it on a way to gain my lost memories it will answer?" Lauria nodded at my question "yes master it shall." "Really then let's go find it!" While I was excited I suddenly remembered Richard. "Oh right, why do you want to find it, Richard?" "Actually I wanted to find it for some time. When I found out the location I wanted to go get it but I can't. At my current ability, I won't survive going there. The reason I wanted to find it is because I wanted to ask for a way so that my little brother can walk again."

"You have a little brother?" Richard's face showed a little anxiety. "Yeah I do and the reason he can't walk is because of me." I looked at him, he looked clearly troubled, so I decided not to ask. "Alright if you can't tell me that's alright. You can tell me whenever you feel like it. So right now let's go and get that stone." Richard looked at me he finally looked relieved and nodded "yeah thanks, Gabriel!" "Nah don't mind it. We're friends after all." I took my fox mask and wore it.

When I opened the door Clarabell was waiting outside "I am coming too!"

Now me, Clarabell, Lauria, and Richard started our adventure in search of the stone of truth. We left the academy grounds. Now that I think about it this is the first time I went out of the academy. The academy was surrounded by a forest there was no sign of anyone near it. "First we go to the town of Sai that's nearby my family is there will get supplies there for the journey. I already asked sir Albert for a leave will be returning in three weeks for the class tournament." So we're going to Richard's hometown first.

Lauria was clinging at my hand while we walk. Clarabell was staring furiously at me and suddenly screamed. "What the hell are you doing?! Why do you need to cling to him like that?" Lauria looked at Clarabell uninterested and answered. "Why is it wrong to do this with my master. Master isn't complaining, on the other hand, why are you so concerned?" Clarabell face was burning red. She summoned her binded weapon and out of nowhere shot a beam of ice at me. Of course, I evaded "what the hell Clarabell!" She didn't cease her attack instead it intensified. She even started shouting nonsensical things "people who toy with a maiden's heart deserve to die. NO EXCEPTIONS!!!!!!" All throughout the trip to town, I kept evading Clarabells attacks.

A little tired at evading constantly I looked at Clarabell. "Are you satisfied now?" Clarabell looked at me with bloodshot eyes "next time, next time, your finished." Clarabell stated with clear killing intent. This girl really is trying to kill me. When I was about to retort Richard interrupted me and said: "where here." I finally noticed that we were near a house, no wrong we were near a mansion. I looked left to right, I can't even see the end of the gate. Huge "Richard you where rich?!"

I said shocked at what was said, but based on Clarabell's reaction she already knew. Richard answered me "My family owns this town. We are a family of merchants. So yeah I guess you could call me rich." On entering the premise we where suddenly surrounded I didn't even feel them approach was it because I was shocked. I looked we were surrounded by an endless line of maids, and butlers, they all bowed and said in unison "Welcome back young master."

Wow what a greeting, Richard smiled "Thank you I'm back but only for a little while fetch me and my friends here some horses. Also, prepare me some food and water that we could use for a three-week trip." One of the butlers bowed "Yes young master, I shall prepare it at once."

Then out of nowhere a voice of a boy shouted "BROTHER! YOUR BACK!" A boy in a wheelchair being pushed by a maid was approaching. The boy looked no older than ten. His eyes where azure the same as the sky. His hair was golden yellow like the bright sun even his aura emits such intense brightness. Richard smiled "I'm back, Roland, have you been well?"

"Yes, brother I feel fine especially now that you're here. Are this your friends' brother." The boy called Roland looked at me and the others. Richard nodded and said "Yes these are my friends, allow me to introduce you. Everyone this here is my brother Roland." "Hello, Roland my names Gabriel Wolfstein. Your brother has been a great friend."

"Hello, it's a pleasure to meet you I'm Clarabell Bramanche" "I'm called Lauria." Roland smiled at us "nice to meet you all, thank you for being friends with my brother. Also, why are you wearing a fox mask?" "Well, it's complicated." After the introductions the butlers' brought back a bunch of horses as well as the supply of food and water for the trip.

"Brother, are you leaving already?" Richard stroked Roland's hair and answered: "yes, unfortunately, I and my companions are going on a little trip." "Really brother, you just came and now your leaving already." Roland pouted it was adorable. "Don't worry will be back soon. With a great story about our adventure." Roland smiled "Then you'll come back to tell me the story." Richard nodded while riding the horse, me and Lauria shared one horse.

Clarabell had her own, For some reason, it seems like my body knows how to ride a horse. "So Everyone take care and please come back to tell me the story of your adventure." "Sure" I was the one who answered for the group. With that, we left the mansion. While riding beside Richard I asked, "Why didn't you greet your parents?" "Well they're not here they live in a separate mansion near our shops. They only come visit once a month." Really a family of merchants it was all business. So that's why Roland was so happy to see Richard he must have felt lonely.

This world was truly beautiful, though I don't remember it much but I think I've seen places that are not so beautiful. Horrible places that no one could live polluted and chaotic. So the scenery right now seems so beautiful.

Two days have passed since we left Richard's home. We've been camping out at night we take shifts in being the lookout. All in all, it was an uneventful journey. That was until we reached a field of flowers. On seeing the field of flowers my head started hurting. A memory was surfacing it was a memory of a little girl panicking, crying and in pain. The girl's eyes where heterochromatic one was gold and another was blue her hair was silver.

Yes, she was like Evangeline but I'm sure she was someone different. She was pleading for something I can't remember. Seeing me in pain Richard, Clarabell and Lauria approached. "What's wrong Gabriel?" Richard looked at me worried.

"Hey Lauria what's happening to him?!" Clarabell asked Lauria her voice was trembling. No Lauria don't tell them anything, just tell them I'm a little tired. "Master is just a little tired. He hasn't ridden a horse in a long time so the sudden shock was new to him." "Is that really it?" Clarabell still inquired. "Yes," Lauria answered perfectly without any change in her voice or heartbeat it was a perfect lie.

We rested in a spot in the field of flowers. I felt a little better now but I still can't remember much except that I met a little girl here. No use trying too hard it will come when it comes.

"Hey Richard where are we going next. Where exactly is the stone of truth?" I asked Richard he looked at me checking if I was feeling better before he answered. "First we must go to the nearby town of Galon and ask for Joshua from thereon he will be our guide into the forest of mist." After hearing this Clarabell stopped bickering with Lauria and joined in our conversation.

"We're going into the forest of mist? So that's why you wanted Gabriel to accompany you." "What is this forest of mist is it a dangerous place?" Instead of Richard, Clarabell was the one to answer.

"No idea no one has ever return after entering the forest of mist. Even finding the forest itself is difficult. Rumor has it, it moves from another spot within the same area at random. Sometimes it's there sometimes it's not. It's a very unique place." So that's where we're going it seems like such a pleasant place.
