17 A battle in two fronts
"Are you ready? It's time for my counterattack!" Eli slashed at the space in front of her. A black tear appeared where Eli slashed. She entered the tear and seconds later a dozen of those black tears appeared surrounding the vermillion haired girl.
Multiple scythes appeared from within the black tears. Having been surrounded by the scythes and unable to move because of the ice encasing her legs the vermillion haired girl started to chant. But before any words could come out of her mouth the multiple scythes slashed at her.
She redirected some of the scythe's attacks and though she couldn't move she was still able to evade a little but not completely. Some parts of her clothing were ripped, though that doesn't sound like much that was the first actual damage that was dealt to the vermillion haired girl.
The black tears multiplied but this time the vermillion haired girl didn't look like she was going to dodge. She only started chanting something, Eli looked a little confused for a moment but shrugged at her hesitation.
She slashed at the enemy with her scythe from within the tear. In the other side of black tear the scythe looked like it was coming from all directions. But before it could reach the vermillion haired girl a barrier stopped the scythe.
'Holy shield? This is divine magic! Only God's, angels, and dragons can use this kind of magic. Who the hell is this girl?' As Eli started thinking, the vermillion haired girl finished her chanting.
Blue light descended from the heavens towards the direction of the vermillion haired girl. Every one of the black tears disappeared and even the ice that was encasing the vermillion haired girl disappeared into oblivion, while she herself was unharmed.
Eli came out from the black tear "Now it's "divine punishment" just who the hell are you?!" The vermillion haired looked at Eli with her indifferent expression. "Oh right! I haven't introduced myself." With the same indifferent expression and monotonous tone of voice the vermillion haired girl spoke. "Well though it is a little late I'm called Akane Telenora. Now that's out of the way, time to beat you up."
Without changing her expression the vermillion haired girl charged forward while muttering something. Eli had no time to think about the true identity of the girl called Akane as she desperately tried to move. Eli used the scythe to tear another hole in the air. Akane's path was blocked by the mysterious tear but she didn't mind, her chant was finished and she shot something golden from her hand, that was able to hit the black tear and upon contact the tear dissolved.
Eli was a little shocked by this move but only a little, since she was expecting Akane to be able to do something like that. She evaded Akane's charge and made another tear and entered it. Once again dozens of black tears appeared and from from within those tears Eli's voice could be heard. "Did you know the scythe of Death isn't just a weapon to reap souls but also something for transportation. Death needed to be in a million places at once when somebody dies. How do you think he accomplished his job as the reaper and the guide for souls?"
From all the dozens of black tears Eli came out. One, two, three, four..... Sixteen Eli's appeared from within the black tear. The sixteen Eli's took a stance but even in this situation Akane's face stayed indifferent and without any emotion. "Let me tell you now, these aren't illusions all of them are the real deal." The sixteen Eli's announced in chorus.
While she was saying this, six of the Eli's charge at Akane. The other ten started chanting. Akane was still able to keep up with Eli's speed, and numbers she was even able to counterattack. The ten still continued their chant "Thou had sin before my sight. Thou had lied before thy plight. The transgressions thou had committed is worthy and praised in the form of darkness. So let the darkness take you, so let the darkness bind you, offer thy soul to the end of darkness and be reaped by its mighty guardian.... come forth "CEREBERUS." A large giant hole appeared and from it came forth a 35 meter tall giant three headed dog.

Leo moved forward with his twin blades at hand. He was about to use fangs of the wolf when albert smiled and used his wires to slow Leo's movements by a second. The first strike was evaded and thus the flow of the technique was stopped.
"I have seen you, use that technique at the young lord. "Fangs of the wolf" you called it, indeed the move is incredible but if you know how it works it's easy to evade. Now let's see you evade this!"
'Base on Albert's body movement his going for a kick in the right side. I could easily evade this.' As Leo was thinking of evading the kick from the right side a sudden kick from the left side came.
Leo barely evaded the attack, 'what?! I was sure he would kick in the right side. Did I misread his movements? Now his about to use his wires to entangle my arms.'
Leo was about ready to cut the incoming wires but it diverted from his hands to his feet. Leo was again barely able to defend. Albert looked at Leo amused
"Hahaha your confusion is written all over your face Leo. I bet your thinking how you could misread my intentions. Well in truth you didn't misread, you read them properly. I simply change my target at the last moment. Well this trick only works if my opponent is a true master like you. Analyzing every move predicting the next and sensing my movements. If you were like any other normal person who relies simply by using sight then this trick wouldn't have work."
Leo looked at Albert amazed, it's one thing to say such a thing and another to actually do it. He made it sound so simple but in truth it was very difficult, nay it was almost impossible thing to achieve.
His intent was real and the body language was correct but to actually change the move and intent instantly is difficult. While Leo was thinking Albert threw knives with wires attach to them. Leo evaded to the side but a wire infused with mana awaited him. Leo stopped too late and was cut slightly in his upper lip. His the one predicting my moves now. Another one of those knives with wires was approaching Leo.
He couldn't evade nor counterattack one misstep and he could fall in another trap. Leo didn't move and deflected the knife. Albert threw another one then another one and so on. Leo simply deflected all of them and didn't move from his spot. Then the previously thrown knives came back to attack Leo from behind while Albert threw numerous at the front. Yet with all that Leo deflected them all. Then some of the deflected knives exploded but Leo still didn't move from his spot and still deflected it without much difficulty.
"Impressive defense Leo to even deflect my knives infused with fire mana is really great. Hahahaha what do you call that move that kind of defensive technique must have a name."
"This move is the top of all my defensive techniques it's called "falling leaves." Albert smiled mischievously at Leo "falling leaves what a great defensive move but it has its flaws."
All of a sudden one of the knives that was near Leo's feet stabbed his thighs. "You never put into account if someone was able to get inside the defense. You deflect and cut down anything that gets near and this move is faster than the move fangs of the wolf. But with the additional speed of the strikes you can't move even if you wanted too right. But why would you need to move if you can deflect and cut down anything that gets near. But then and there is the flaw, you truly believed that no one can get past the defense. Hahahahaha that's nice and all, being confident but there is no such thing as one hundred percent defense right?" Albert looked at Leo mockingly.
'This guy is incredible only seeing the move once and already he has a counter for it.'
"Hahahaha this is fun this is soooooo much fun!" Leo started laughing in delight.
"Huh? Have you finally lost it Leo?" Albert looked at Leo a little puzzled by his sudden change.
"Lost it? On the contrary Albert, I finally found it again. Ever since I came here I have forgotten what is truly important to me. All this sudden drama and whatnot has change me slightly and I have forgotten my true self."
"So what is your true self?" Leo looked at Albert with a vicious smile on his face.
"My true self is one who indulges himself in battle. I am one who lives in the battlefield, and finds excitement and happiness in the battlefield. All I was looking for was a good battle. I never needed reason to fight as long as the opponent was strong I needed no other reason."
Albert looked at Leo once more he thought he understood this man but in truth he didn't understand at all. "Well enough talk let's get back to the fun." After saying that line Leo extended his twin blades forward pointing at Albert. He charged forward not caring about the magically enhanced wires that where in his way.
He made little swerving movement as he charged forward. The movement resembled a snake... no a dragon, an image of a dragon charging forward was seen. Albert was sure it was not a hallucination the sheer aura of Leo charging was creating the shape of a dragon.
Albert used the surrounding dolls to form a shield but that didn't delay Leo one bit. The whole room was wrecked because of the move. The roof of the room was collapsing.
"To actually use such a large move in such a close space. HAHAHAHAHA I KNEW IT YOU'RE WEIRD, WEIRD, WEIRD, WEIRD, WEIRD, WEIRD, WEIRD, WEIRD. You even forgot that Adela was in this mansion. HAHAHA this is great Leo show me the extent of human limitations!"
"You're great as well Albert to be able to survive the charging dragon strike without any damage is incredible. You're the first person to be able to survive this move, and about Adela I already sensed her presence a while ago and made sure to keep the damage to a minimum so that I won't harm her. Well now that I think about it I'll save her first, move her to a safe place then we can continue our fun." Leo looked at Albert as he was seriously suggesting to let him go and save Adela before continuing the fight.
"Heh you're truly interesting Leo to be even able to suggest such a thing in this situation proves how weird you are, hehe but I like it! Sure I will allow you to move Adela to a safe distance before we continue our fight. If it were anyone else who suggested this then I wouldn't have approve, but if it is you, then I'm sure that you will return. Go I'll wait for you outside of the mansion. Once you place Adela Wingled in a safe place meet me there."
