18 A Battle in two fronts (2)

The three headed dog Cerberus was summoned, with this Eli truly had nothing left to show. All of her replicas disappeared and she knelt down in one knee. If the girl Akane was able to beat this Eli and her group was doomed to die unless Tenri was able to recover.

Eli truly doubted that the amount of blood she took would even weaken a Demi-God such as her. Eli looked at Akane who was looking away from Cerberus. Cerberus greatly insulted was about to strike at Akane, but before it could do so the spear of Edilion was already at its forehead.

A simple touch from the spear was enough to blow away one of the heads of Cerberus. Akane jumped after her spear and caught it mid-air before anybody could react to her sudden increase in speed Akane was already able to cut down Cerberus remaining two heads.

When she was done beheading Cerberus Akane was about to land, she felt a sudden pain in the left side of her stomach. She looked at it, and there was a glowing blue and red arrow pierced into her.

There was only one archer in the group so Akane and everyone else looked at Rika. She was standing up with bow at hand aiming at Akane, but there were no arrows.

Suddenly glowing Black and Gold arrows appeared and was instantaneously fired. There was no interval whatsoever from the initial shot to reach the destination. Now Akane was pierced by four arrows, but still she showed no sign of pain or anxiety.

Rika looked amused "Heh, on my awakening after three years and this is the scene that greets me. Looks like father messed up in creating two separate personalities to protect me."

Tenri who was beside Rika asked "You're not Rika nor are you Arika then who are you?"

"Hmm, me I'm the true personality the true owner of this body. The names Selina... Oh wait no time to talk Tenri look she already recovered." Tenri looked at Akane and saw that the arrows that pierced her, alongside the wounds she acquired disappeared.

"We have no time for this... A demon lord is fast approaching, can't you sense it?" Akane said with her monotonous tone. Eli and the others finally noticed the intense bloodlust. Due to the fight with Akane they really didn't notice, even though he was so close.

"Tenri can you move yet?!" Eli shouted at Tenri. "No I need five more minutes to be able to do that." Eli, Tenri, and Rex where in no condition to run. Only Selina and Akane were able to move.

"No other choice" Akane said and approached Eli with blinding speed and picked her up and did the same with Rex. "Seeing as they're the most wounded, I'm moving them to a safer location." Before anyone could voice their surprise Akane made her declaration.

"What are you thinking?! First you want to kill us then now you want to save us?! MAKE UP YOUR MIND WIL..." Eli's voiced trailed off, she was tapped at the neck by Akane which made her faint.

"Let me say it again before the nagging one wakes up I didn't mean to kill, I was just beating you up and my true objective is to meet the other man in your group." Both Tenri and Selina smiled the two of them gladly welcomed the help of strong people may they be an enemy before or not.

"Alright I leave her to you Akane, I will stay here until Tenri recovers and when she does we will follow quickly let's meet up at the gates of Regon." Akane nodded and in a blink disappeared.

"I'm surprised Selina to think you trusted her so quickly?" Tenri asked, Selina looked at her with a kind hearted smile like Rika's "Well it's because she's very strong. Didn't you see her speed right now it was so fast I'm sure none of us present could have followed her, and the attack she did on Cerberus proved that she was holding back the whole time simply to match us. So I believed in her statement that she never wanted to kill us, and Tenri do you truly believe that we can afford to be picky about who will help us at a time like this?" The Demon Lord was in front of them. The man in front of them had pointy ears like an elf but it was a little longer and his skin was not fully dark like a dark elf's skin.

He had long red hair and was wearing a black cloak with embroidery of gold.

"An elf and a wounded Demi-God what a peculiar group. Well anyway where is she? The half vampire that was with you? Seeing the glares in your faces I'm sure that you know what I am. Unlike you Halflings I'm Gaston a pure one a pure blooded demon and not just that I'm a demon lord that received the staff of Beelzebub. So revere and prostrate before me."

Gaston commanded them but Selina and Rika simply smiled and out of nowhere Selina shot arrows of light. Same as before, the arrows had no interval in reaching their destination but on contact with the man the arrows of light dispersed.

"Oh what foolish and ignorant insects you are! You wish to fight me with magic? To oppose me the owner of the staff of Beelzebub with magic, you must be true imbeciles. Well no matter, I will correct this behavior of yours."

Leo entered the room Adela was in, she was sleeping in a king size bed and beside her was another girl with the same flowing silver hair. Upon looking at her Leo felt a strong surge of power. In his original world this power would be called inner energy on the other hand in this world it was called mana.

This was the first time Leo felt such an endless supply of energy aside from Serenity and Chaos none could come close to this kind of energy. Even the Demi-God Tenri doesn't have a supply of mana this large.

Leo took Adela and the other girl and headed outside roughly a hundred meters away from the mansion Leo placed Adela and the girl down. The unknown girl awoke and her eyes with different eye color was staring at him.

"It's alright I saved you, my name's Leo and this girl here is Adela Wingled. Tell her when she wakes up to wait here for me... You as well please wait here while I finish some business."

The girl stared blankly at Leo and without hearing a reply Leo left. As he said Albert was waiting for Leo at the front of his mansion. Albert looked at Leo with a huge smile on his face. "I knew you would return so are you ready to go all out now?"

Leo smiled back "Yeah let's do this!"

Without saying anymore Leo dashed forward on the other hand Albert waved his hands. Numerous wires infused with a great amount of mana where blocking Leo's way. Each of the wires had the same amount of mana infused into them.

Leo tried to cut them normally but as predicted the wires were way harder than anything he ever struck. He then jumped upward to avoid the wires but what awaited Leo from above was a trap. There were wires much thinner than the ones ahead of him. But these wires where infused with thunder spells.

If Leo where to try and cut them with his swords he would be electrocuted. "Hahaha a brilliant plan but..." Leo did a slash at the wires but without touching them they were cut. He used a vacuum of air that turned into something sharper than blades to cut the wires. But as if expecting that, Albert's wires where not simply infused with thunder spells but as well as small fragments of fire spells. When the wires were cut they exploded.

This was the same move he did with the knives. Leo was pushed back to the ground. "Heh, though your moves vary and are very strange they are still within my imagination."

"HAHAHAHA THIS IS FUN, LETS GO ALL OUT ALBERT!!!!" After shouting Leo was about to charge forward again, when suddenly the wires surrounded him from above, behind, in front, and even to the side.

There was no escape and this time the wires where infused with the strongest energy he felt in this fight. The wires where closing in trying to envelope him. Then without hesitation Leo raised one of his swords and cut forward. Albert was surprised the sword Leo used to cut the wires was infused with mana. The mana was so strong it actually formed an extension of the blade. The sword was now 20 feet in height it was long and huge. "[Aura blade] as well as [splitting of heaven and earth]. It's been years since I last used these two techniques. NOW THAT I'M USING AURA BLADE DON'T EXPECT ANY MERCY!"

Albert laughed at Leo's statement. "Then show it to me LEO! THE LIMITS OF HUMANITY SHOW IT TO ME. TO WHAT EXTENT CAN IT REACH?"

"FINE WITH ME ALBERT!" Leo infused the two swords with his inner energy. Now it seemed like Leo was holding two massive swords. "Here I'll show my techniques, I'll even list them out for you. Here comes the first. [SLASH OF THE DEMON SWORD].'"

Leo raised one of the swords and slashed downward the wires that where blocking Leo were easily cut and the destruction went beyond the sword's length Albert evaded, and for the first time an attack reached him. "Here's the next, [heavenly rain!]" From above Leo, Albert saw numerous sword like objects floating. These swords were made purely out of mana and they numbered in the thousands. The mana swords rained down onto Albert.

Even though this was the first time Albert saw the move he reacted quickly. Using almost all his wires he diverted all the mana swords heading towards him.

"HAHAHA NICELY DONE ALBERT. HOW ABOUT THIS! [SKYBREAKER!]'" Leo threw one of his swords upward and charged at Albert. Albert evaded the forward thrust with a sidestep but the sword that was falling was headed toward Albert's position but it was a little slow so he was able to evade with a backstep. But the move wasn't finish, Leo hit his sword that was falling and changed the trajectory and was now heading straight for Albert again. Albert used his remaining wires to redirect the attack to the ground but on doing so Leo was already a few feet in front of him his sword slash wanted to cut him in half. But Albert used an earth spell to slow down the attack by a few seconds so that he could evade.

He did all this while Leo was smiling as he was enjoying the battle. Yet this time Albert felt a sudden chill. This was the first time he felt like this in his entire life. This new feeling he was having was called fear, yet instead of cowering. Albert smiled in delight truly, 'this man can show me the limits of humanity.' "SO LEO SHOW ME MORE!"
