Chapter 006- Uchiha Clan

A few days later, the leaders of the five-village gathered in the Rain country to discuss the peace treaty. During the conversation, they tried to intimidate Hiruzen to make him compromise. But because of his tough attitude, they didn't manage to get anything from him.

Instead, it was them who were forced to give some compensations for the destruction they have caused to the Fire Nation. Of course, they declined at first but after a show of force form Sarutobi, they decided to sign the peace treaty after carefully considering the pros and cons.

This peace treaty will be effective for the next twenty years. During this time if any village declares war, that village would have to face the wrath of the other four villages. And except for Konoha, no village has that kind of ability.

---Konoha Year 34---

Recently Sarutobi Hiruzen has been hearing some concerning news regarding the Uchiha clan.

During Tobirama Senju's reign, Uchiha clan has been assigned to be the police force of the Konoha. Though they were not directly removed from the council at that time, they have basically been stripped of any governing related matter of Konoha. Their position in the council is basically without any real power.

Because of this, more and more Uchiha clan members are becoming hostile to Konoha as the time goes by. Sarutobi even heard some reports from the Anbu that a group of people among Uchiha created a secret organization. They have been spreading the idea of overthrowing the Hokage and make Uchiha great again.

*knock* *knock*

Sarutobi came out of his thoughts as he heard the sound of someone knocking the door.

"Come in."

"Hokage-sama, you called me?"

"Kagami, I already said that you don't need to call me Hokage when we are alone. Anyway, the reason I called you today is because I want to discuss something about your clan. You should have heard about the group that has been emerging in your clan, right?" Sarutobi asked.

"Yes, it seems you already found out about it. Sorry for not telling you earlier. I was trying to solve the problem myself. But now it seems that it has already gone out of my hand."

"Is it really that serious?" Sarutobi said with some worry. Uchiha is a powerful clan. So, unless necessary he doesn't want go on a killing spree against them.

"Sigh! At first, it wasn't that bad. There were only a few upper-level ninjas that were supporting it. But last night when I talked to the clan leader about this issue, his response was very vague. I doubt he has already been pulled into that faction as well." Kagami said with some sadness.

"Is that so?" Sarutobi thought about this matter for a while before he said, "Kagami, what do you think about a political marriage between me and a Uchiha?"

Kagami looked thoughtful as he said, "Theoretically, it could work. Even though it might not fully extinguish the hatred of everyone but they should be able to understand your good will."

"I see. I can understand their hatred as even after being the founding clan of Konoha, they have been totally removed from the governing body. You can tell them that as long as they can let go of their hatred, I will assign both you and my future wife from the clan to some Governing work related to Konoha." Sarutobi said.

"Your idea might really work. But what about the other clans? I am sure they wouldn't be so happy with this."

"It doesn't matter whether they are happy or not because at the end of the day, I am the Hokage of the village." Sarutobi said with a lot of confidence in his voice. After nearly a year of ruling over Konoha, he is totally confident to keep his position and carry out his plans without worrying about others' opinions.

"But I want to remind you one thing. If even after doing all these, some Uchiha clan member are still trying to conspire against Konoha, I hope you won't stop me from killing them." Sarutobi added.

"If there is really some people like that, I will kill them myself. That is my promise to you. By the way, who are you going to marry?" Kagami asked.

"Are you familiar with Naori Uchiha?" Sarutobi asked back.

"Her? Yes. It's hard not to be familiar with a person who created the forbidden technique Izanami. Not to mention, she is my distant cousin as well." Kagami replied.

"Oh, is that so? Then can you talk to her about the marriage? You don't need to force her, if she doesn't agree, I will choose someone else."

"Ok. Then I will be taking my leave."

"Yes, you can go."

'If Naori really agrees, then it would be the best. After all, she is a Kage-level ninja. She has also opened her Mangekyo Sharingan as well though she lost one of her eyes because of using Izanami. Not to mention, she is vey good at kenjutsu as well.'

'But if she disagrees, then it would really be a hassle to find a suitable partner.' Sarutobi thought internally as he let out a heavy sigh.

---Uchiha Clan---

Kagami quickly returned to the Uchiha clan as he hurried to the living place of her cousin Uchiha Naori.

"Is there anything important you want to talk to me?" Naori Uchiha asked as she watched Kagami coming to her in such a hurried matter.

"Yes, I do. You see….." Kagami first talked about the recent situation of the clan and then explained to her about the discussion that he had with Sarutobi Hiruzen.

"In order to make the Uchiha clan feel closer to Konoha, Sarutobi decided to marry you. But he also said that you can reject this proposal if you really don't want to marry him. So, what is your decision?" Kagami asked with a solemn face.

Naori Uchiha didn't answer the question directly but closed her eyes and thought about what kind of decision she should make. Kagami also stayed quiet as he waited for her response.

After a few minutes, she finally opened her eyes and said, "I agree. From your words, he doesn't seem like a bad person. Since I am already nearing my thirties, it's not bad to feel how it is like to get married and have a husband."

Hearing her clear voice without any kind of hesitation, Kagami could only sigh, 'I hope that she will be happy in the marriage. After all, she has been quite lonely these years.'

"Okay. I will then talk to the clan leader and the other clansmen about the decisions made by Hokage-sama" Kagami said as he got ready to leave.

"Wait! I will go with you as well. That way, Clan leader wouldn't dare to do anything stupid even if he already joined that faction as you said."

"Yes, you are right. Let's go then."

Kagami and Naori both reached the Clan leader's house in a few minutes.

"Clan leader, we have something important to discuss with you."

"What is it?" Shichiro Uchiha, the current clan leader of the Uchiha clan slightly frowned his brow seeing Kagami and Naori appearing together. Frankly speaking, Shichiro is quite upset with both of them.

Kagami is arguably the strongest ninja in the clan now. He was a student of Second Hokage and quite close to the current Hokage. But despite all that, Kagami has done little to nothing to get back the Clan's power in the village.

[A/N: So, I noticed that many of you are concerned about the age gap between the harem members. First of all, you guys can rest assured that he will not be sleeping with any of the girls unless they are matured enough according to that world's standards.

Secondly, Sarutobi will not age anymore after he reaches his prime. So, even if he marries someone who is way younger than him, it would not look totally out of the place.

And third of all, if I just choose the girls from his age group, then most of my favourite female character will have to be left out which I absolutely don't want. So, if you still think that it is gross, I guess this story isn't for you. Thanks for reading up to this point.]
