Chapter 38

"Oh no. What can we do now?"

Zedekiel chanted a spell and lightening suddenly struck at Kayziel and Berthiel but they quickly dodged and burst into laughter. Angry, Zedekiel left. Berthiel saw that his brother was really angry so he went after him to placate him.

Kayziel shook his head. Berthiel was so naughty. But who was this pretty boy with red hair and green eyes that has caught his stone faced nephew's heart?

Ron didn't know but he was very jealous! How could his beloved like someone already? He even kissed him and claimed him as his wife!

A servant walked into the garden and bowed before Kayziel. "Your Highness, there's a human asking for you at the palace gates. He said his name is Nathan"

Ron felt Kayziel's heart skip a beat. He crumpled the letter he was writing and flew out of the garden, straight to the palace gates.

Oh yes, the thing was, not all Elves could fly. Only those from the Royal Family. If you're an ordinary Elf, whether you reach the age of flying or even surpass it with a hundred years, Your body can never defy gravity.

"Nathan" Kayziel called as soon as he landed gracefully on the ground. Ron could feel Kayziel's intense want to hug the man in front of him but he couldn't before the eyes of all the Elfin soldiers. It would raise questions. So Kayziel just said; "Follow me"

Nathan didn't say a thing. He just bowed and followed. When they got to a place with very few soldiers, Kayziel grabbed Nathan's hand and teleported to his chambers. Right on his bed and they started to make out.

Ron felt very weird for he was in Kayziel's body but there was nothing he could do. He just hoped they wouldn't go any further. He didn't want to watch his future husband's uncle doing it.

What was shocking was the fact that Kayziel had a human lover. Nathan was a petite dark haired man with dark blue eyes and a slender body. From his responses to Kayziel and how he gave him free access, Ron knew that Kayziel's feelings were reciprocated. It was only when Nathan was running out of breath that Kayziel broke the kiss and hugged the human. "I thought you didn't want to be with me anymore" Kayziel said. "I sent you many letters over these months but you never replied to a single one. Why?"

Nathan cupped Kayziel's cheeks and gazed into his eyes. "I'm sorry my love. The King transferred me to oversee a construction in another town. I returned two days ago and that was when I received your letters. My heart was aching so much for you. I badly wanted to see you my love. And fortunately, the King wanted to deliver a message to your King so I hurriedly volunteered to deliver it. That's why I'm here now"

Kayziel sighed in relief and kissed Nathan again. They rolled around in the bed for quite a while, whispering sweet nothings to each other, kissing and giggling like a bunch of love sick fools.

Well in their defense, they really were love sick. But they were making Prince Ron jealous. He had never kissed anyone in his entire life and the person he was in love with hated his people immensely.

Nathan broke the kiss a while later, panting as he got off the bed. Kayziel followed but Nathan held up a hand, making him pause. "My love, please... please wait a second" he said through pants. He bent at the waist, placing his palms on his knees to catch his breath. "Your kind have so much stamina. I... I need to breathe..."

Kayziel felt very proud while Ron wanted to roll his eyes. He felt Nathan was just weak. He should speak for himself alone! Not all humans were weak like him. Ron felt that if it were him and Zedekiel, they would not stop for a single second!

Well, we can only test that hyphothesis in the future. If humans are generally weaker than Elves when it comes to activities done in the bedroom or if Nathan was just weak.

Kayziel waited patiently and when Nathan felt better, he went back into Kayziel's arms. Ron thought another round of kissing would start but Kayziel just sat there, hugging Nathan. Then he said; "What message does King Rafael has for us?"

Nathan sighed. "His first son's engagement is next week and he wants your people to attend. He said it doesn't have to be the entire Royal Family. Just your King and any other person is enough. He also wants to use the medium to celebrate these few months of peace we've had"

Kayziel didn't want to believe it. "Did he seem sincere? You know it's hard for us to trust King Rafael"

"I do but when has he ever broken his word?" Nathan asked. "King Rafael may be brutal sometimes but he has never gone back on any of his promises. Everyone knows that"

"That's true..." Kayziel mused. "Alright. Let's go tell my brother. We've been here long enough. Any longer and my brother will know something's up"

They stood up, fixed their clothes then made their way to the throne room.

********

Ron now knew exactly where Zedekiel and Berthiel got their amazing looks from.

King Fayziel and his Queen were like a Greek God and Goddess on the throne. Zedekiel got his looks from his father. Long shiny silver hair, intimidating violet eyes, strong body build with an aura so fierce, it ignited fear in people's hearts at first glance.

Berthiel on the other hand, got his looks from his mother. Shoulder length silver hair, threaded with beautiful colourful flowers, kind violet eyes with a smile that was cheerful and warm. She was glowing like the sun and her aura was gentle.

They were looking so magnificent and beautiful that Ron was just stunned.

He then recognised the Queen. That was the present Queen Mother! How could she still be alive?! This was thousands of years ago! Then he started to freak. If Zedekiel was 94 here, then how old was he in the present time???

Just how old is Queen Mother too?!

"Brother, King Rafael sent a message for you" Kayziel said.

With that said, Nathan stepped forward then went on his knees, giving a deep bow. "Greetings, Your Majesty, Greetings, my Queen"

King Fayziel nodded curtly. "You may rise"

"Thank you, Your Majesty" he said then stood up.

Kayziel felt distressed, watching his lover stand up on his own. He wanted to rush over and help him up but he couldn't do it in the throne room. In front of his brother, sister in law, ministers and servants. He could only tighten his fists and remain rooted to his spot beside his brother.

Nathan took out a scroll and presented it to the King. Before any servant could step out to take it, Kayziel walked down. He took the scroll, making sure his fingers brushed Nathan's then went back to his brother and gave it to him.

King Fayziel motioned for Kayziel to read it out to him and Kayziel did. It mentioned everything Nathan had said before. King Rafael was making the first move to smoothen out the relationship between their people. It would not be nice to reject his goodwill.

Kayziel, King Fayziel and the Queen communicated through their mind link. It is another thing only members of the Royal Family could do. Basic Elves can form mind links with the one they love but Royal Elves could form mind links with two or more people. While the King could form a mind link with anyone. Even humans and animals.

In what was a few seconds to everyone else but was actually twenty minutes, they had finished discussing and came to a conclusion. King Fayziel cleared his throat then spoke; "Tell King Rafael that we will honour his invitation"
