Chapter 8 The exam

They were walking on the path in the forest for hours. Then Aninga stopped

"Okay. Now go to the forest and find those flowers. Be careful. If you take one wild Pokemon's will come to get you. But don't worry. When it will be dangerous I will help you" said Aninga

"Let me guess... You will walk with me this whole time?" Said Alex

"Yes. I can't let you go into the forest alone. But if I could I would do that. And if let you go alone you could use this opportunity to get those flowers from town or somewhere else"

"Oh... I see. Okay. I don't mind. If you have to there's nothing I can about it right?" Said Alex when he walked into the forest

It was little dark here. The trees were so big and was lots of them so they blocked sunlight. If not this mysterious 'transformation' he wouldn't see almost anything. They were walking and walking for very long. And he finally found it. The purple flower was in one place where was some sunlight. He carefully walked and picked it up. Then he heard how lots of wild Pokemon's rawrs

"They are coming. And you have to fight them. I want to see how you fight" said Aninga

"*Sigh* Alright I will fight them" said Alex

Alex grabs his knife from the bag and then snake jumped at him with his fangs ready to bite. Alex dodged it and rushed at the snake. When he was on the snakes head ready to stab him in the eye other snake jumped from the bushes. Alex barely managed to dodge it. When he landed on the grass between snakes and Aninga third snake came out of the bushes.

'Damm it. It just gets harder and harder... I could easily kill one snake but with three snakes... Well it will be interesting' thought Alex when he smiled from euphoria

"Do you need help there?" Said Aninga

"No thanks. I can handle it... Heh... It will be fun..." Said Alex with much more terrifying smile while taking his pose and gripped knife tighter

Aninga didn't said anything but looked at him like he was crazy. Then snakes attacked. All three at once but Alex jumped on one of the tree and attacked one snake taking his eye down. Snake screamed from the pain. Meanwhile Alex took other eye and pulled his knife deeper into the snakes eye and killing him. The other two tried to bite Alex but he jumped away and snakes bit the dead snake and stuck. Alex took that opportunity and killed the second snake. Third snake managed to break free in the meantime and attacked Alex with his blade-shaped tail. Alex didn't managed to dodge this in time and snakes tail stabbed him in the leg.

"Ugh..." Groaned Alex from pain

'Damm it... I wasn't focused enough... Heh... I remember now what Sensei told me on the training... "You have great talent and potential, but you have to more focused on your surroundings"... He was right...' thought Alex

When snake pulled his tail out of his leg Alex quickly moved aside. Standing on one leg is hard especially when you are standing on fingers. Snake attacked with his fangs but Alex barely managed to dodge it. When he tried to land he fell because of his leg. Without wasting time Alex attacked the snake in the eye. He missed but jumped on the tree and tried again. This time he managed to kill this last snake

"Wow... I have never seen anyone moving like that... And using knife for fighting instead of the Pokémon moves... Well let's get back. You are wounded and I saw everything I wanted" said Aninga

"Alright... Did I pass?"

"Yes you did! Hahaha you did extremely well!" Said Aninga with excitement and saw a little bit of smile on his face

When Aninga and Alex was walking back to the guild, Alex said to the Aninga:

"Did you have fun time watching me?"

Aninga didn't answer immediately, only after some time he said

"Yes... It was funny to watch you fighting with those Sevipers alone. *He smiled* Your techniques and movements are insane... I have never seen something like that before... I'm very impressed"

Alex said nothing. He just smiled
