Quilge Opie

Candice raised her hands and slowly began to lift into the air, five feet over the corpses. She then hovered over towards the remaining soldiers. The gravity that was holding her down was instead spread to the soldiers, increasing the stress on their bodies. Not wanting to die, the soldiers sent several volleys of arrows at Candice. However, they all fell to the ground when they got within ten meters of her. The kinetic energy within the arrows transformed into a large pillar of lightning that Candice shot toward the group like a laser cannon.

"Ah, so powerful. With this, I'll be able to kill that bastard…"

On Meninas' side, the fight was going very slowly. Rather, all the Quincy were attacking her, but she just casually dodged, using the least amount of movement. Her fight too the longest to draw first blood, but when it happened something strange occurred. The whole time, she had been slowly dodging toward a spot in the battlefield. Once she arrived, one of the shots misfired and killed a Quincy behind her. Then, the dying Quincy released a volley of arrows that killed another two Quincy.

This continued on until half of them were taken out. Every now and then, Meninas would move slightly, or throw a pebble at one of them. Overall, the scene was simply too strange. Unknown to them, she received the biggest change to her original power. Previously, she was just a simple power house. However, once she received Orihime's bestowal, her powers muted into result manifestation, similar to Yhwach's sub-ability. The scene of two-thousand soldiers killing their allies was a mix of comedy and brutality.

Meninas started yawning, since messing with probabilities and outcomes was very exhausting and she was still trying to control her powers. Once she was very loyal to Yhwach, one of the most loyal in fact. After being betrayed, she still felt loyalty to him and would give her life. When she ran away with the others, her plan was to betray them and offer their lives to him. However, she never expected to be forcibly bestowed a power like this. Perhaps her loyalty had created a mutation, or there was some remnant power from Yhwach. After awakening to this ability, her blind loyalty shifted to Orihime.

All the girls left Berenice's side within a few minutes of each other as she followed behind Candice to confront Quilge. Her power was already activating and rapidly increasing her strength. She was extremely jealous of her sisters' powers. They were flashy, erotic, overwhelming, and unbeatable. Even before she was betrayed, they all had better powers than her. She was a minor character. These feelings that were bottled up were released in a wave of Reiatsu.

"Oh, die Fraulein wants zu fight me alone. Was can ein weak Madchen do to me? Wenn du were in der Sternritter, you were the weakest. I can stomp you with minimal effort. Wait, why is my voice getting higher… Oh nyo, my body ish chyanging. Wat did nyu do to Quilge?"

The more he talked, the more he changed. This was Berenice's new power— Illusion realization. The power is fueled by negative thoughts, making illusions into reality. When someone talked down to her, the illusion would turn them into the embodiment of their disdain. Quilge was a misogynist elitist with a thick accent from the old ways. Berenice couldn't help but chuckle as her power turned him into a little girl with cute(annoying) speech pattern.

"What's wrong, Quilge? Or maybe I should call you little Quiy? Quiqui? Do you have any more insults for me? I remember you once kicked me to the ground and stepped on my face with your boot, now look at you."

"Hymph!"

Quilge had stopped talking after noticing the strange abilities. Two large pairs of wings, resembling an angel, appeared behind him. However, his way of thinking was not something he could control. He began to rave in his mind that he would crush Berenice with the overwhelming power. Using his superior speed, he appeared next to Berenice and attempted to trap her in his power, "The Jail," however, shackles formed around his little arms and legs and connected to similar shackles around Berenice's arms and legs. They were chained together.

"I see, you looked down on my speed and thought it simple to catch me. You've already been affected by Tristitia, you can't escape it by staying quiet. Your thoughts become my strength."

Berenice released a volley of attacks on the little Quilge in front of her. He was unable to escape because of his own bindings. Whenever he cursed or insulted her mentally, she would become stronger or he would become weaker. He knew that he couldn't hold back anymore and released his Vollstandig. The illusion broke due to the sudden increase in strength, knocking Berenice away from him. His muscles bulged and his angel wings began to turn profane with a pair of large yellow eyes sprouting from them. Quilge had figured out some of Berenice's power and was able to deduce the rest based on her abilities under Yhwach. He kept a clear mind and didn't allow his thoughts to stray. However, at full power, he noticed Berenice frown.

"So powerful, I'm jealous."

Although he kept his mind clear, by releasing his full strength and making a reckless attack without considering defense or counter attacks, he had inadvertently underestimated Berenice. Being underestimated instantly reduced his strength, giving Berenice an opportunity to make a lethal attack. At the last moment, strings made of spirit energy dropped down from his wings and connected to his body and he used his puppet technique to pull himself to the side, causing Berenice's fist to destroy his side and barely miss his vital organs. Blood spurted out and he was unable to move normally. The puppet ability expanded and connected to all of his joints in order to remotely control his body.

"I must admit, you are a lot stronger than I expected."

"Is that so? I accept your compliment." After saying that, the weakening affect was slowly lifted from Quilge's body, and he unconsciously smiled. He mentally acknowledged the weakness of her ability, and then suddenly fell to the ground convulsing and spitting out blood.

"Ah, you fell for it. I purposefully withdrew my power for a moment, and you immediately looked down on me. I can't help but laugh since you lost by your own hand…"

Berenice's power did in fact have a weakness. Against an opponent that was filled with humility and selflessness, she would ultimately lose. However, such a person was impossible to find in this universe. If such a person did exist, they would likely not be at a seat of power. She looked at her sisters that had long finished their battles and sighed. They were watching her from the side, and Berenice was able to use her negative emotions to boost her strength even more. Fortunately, being near Orihime suppresses the power of sin in each of them allowing for good chemistry.

After the last fight ended, Orihime nodded. She was glad to see that her experiment worked. She felt an inexplicable connection to these girls after bestowing powers to them. She analyzed their battles and had some good combat data. Gisella, Candice, and Liltotto were more suited for facing groups whereas Bambietta and Meninas were more suited toward facing a single opponent. Although Bambietta's power was strong against a group, her real strength was her insanely high single target damage. As for Meninas, Orihime could tell that her ability was far too draining against a large group.

Berenice is a special case. Her ability lies in her and the opponents' mental state. For now, she can be categorized in a special category, or all-rounder. When the girls came back to her side, she unconsciously smiled and touched the corner of her lips in realization. Orihime wasn't unaware that she had changed drastically. She could only blame herself for the blatant disregard for her abilities side effects. Most of the memories of her past life that one would consider useless have been sacrificed for greater power, but such a thing naturally had ramifications.

'Perhaps it is time to take a break. There are still about ten months until Yhwach is ready to attack Soul Society.'

Since Orihime was in a good mood, she didn't reject Giselle's attempt at skin ship and let her rub her body against her side. The other's looked on in a disapproving manner, except for Berenice who seemed jealous. However, since Orihime didn't say anything against it, they wouldn't interfere. Seeing Orihime not respond, Giselle was upset and detached from Orihime's arm. It seems she wanted to be pushed away or thrown to the ground.

"Well… Anyway, you all did great at showing me your new power. You've all spent so long cooped up in that strange place, I've decided to take us all to the World of the Living for some rest and relaxation."
