Trashed after a party
"I still can't believe you did that," Zack said as he wiped the kitchen counter. "Tess, you're too brave."
"Don't forget heartless," Szedra added, as she handed Tess the plate she had given to her a second ago. "You missed a spot."
Tess didn't bother looking for the spot Szedra spoke of. She took the plate and dunked it into the sink filled with water. "Next time, I won't be coming back," she said as she scrubbed the plate hidden under thick foams.
"They sent us a video snap wishing us farewell. I couldn't take my eyes off the cast around Nova-one's neck," Szedra said.
Tess took the plate out and handed it back to Szedra standing at her side at the other sink. "I'm sorry. Next time I'll aim to break more than just a neck."
"I'm pretty sure his nose was also broken," Zack said.
