Tess was far away in the deep blue void as her other teammates huddled together in the enclosing nebula. They froze as blue glowing statues after activating long-distance teleportation. It worked due to the Metasyne energy they all gave off. Even the unconscious Lanse added to that pool. But it was not a quick win for them.
Szedra's energy sphere got eaten away while she and her members were in their frozen state. It took two minutes for her and her nearby teammates to fade out of their surroundings. But the red death cloud had already munched away great portions of their bodies.
Annie and Sensei waited with deep furrows. Their eyes focused on the five teenagers slowly teleporting inside the mission base. The medical staff surrounded them while the hacking experts did their usual scans.
