"Good morning, Sandro. I wanted to let you know that things are progressing well with both Marvel and UFC. I'll be heading into the negotiations early next Monday. I'm confident we'll come out of this with a deal that will set us up for the future. I'll keep you posted." Sandro smiled as he read the message. His father's confidence was infectious, and it only added to his growing sense of optimism.
Sandro smiled and replied to his father's text, asking him to keep him updated on the progress and suggesting that he could reply either that night or the next day, since Monday would be the FCW Live Taping Show.
After sending the message, Sandro went about his morning routine. He laced up his running shoes and headed out for a jog, enjoying the cool morning air as it filled his lungs. The rhythmic sound of his feet hitting the pavement helped clear his mind and focus his thoughts on the day ahead.
Returning home, Sandro took a quick shower, letting the warm water wash away the sweat from his run. He felt energized and ready to tackle whatever the day might bring.
After his shower, he made himself a healthy breakfast—scrambled eggs, whole grain toast, and a smoothie packed with fruits and greens. As he ate, his mind wandered to the FCW Live Show coming up on Monday.
The event was shaping up to be a significant one, with the finals of the FCW Divas Championship tournament as the highlight. The match would feature Nicole, Natalya, and April in a triple-threat bout that had been heavily promoted on the FCW website and forum. The anticipation was building, not just among the fans, but also within the FCW locker room.
Sandro knew that this match could be a turning point for the women's division in FCW. He believed that the finish of the match needed to be something special, something that would be talked about for days to come and would solidify the division as a crucial part of the brand. As he mulled over different scenarios, an idea sparked in his mind.
He remembered the 2005 Royal Rumble, where John Cena and Batista had accidentally eliminated each other simultaneously, leading to a chaotic situation where there was no clear winner.
The confusion had led to a heated argument between referees, with each side claiming victory for their respective Superstar. Vince McMahon had stormed down to the ring, furious at the botched finish, and had demanded that the match be restarted. Ultimately, Batista emerged victorious, but the incident had left an indelible mark on WWE history and solidify both men to become top main eventers.
Sandro thought that a similar situation could work perfectly for the FCW Divas Championship finals. He envisioned a scenario where the match would be a hard-fought battle between the three women, each of them showcasing their skills and determination to become the inaugural champion.
As the match reached its climax, two of the competitors—let's say Nicole and April—would simultaneously pin the third, Natalya, with each woman draping an arm over her in exhaustion.
The referee would count to three, but the situation would be unclear—who had actually won? With both Nicole and Natalya claiming victory, the crowd would be left in suspense.
Then, Dusty would come down to the ring to address the situation. He would congratulate all three women on their performance but would regretfully inform them that there could be only one champion. To resolve the issue, he would order the match to be restarted, but this time with just Nicole and Natalya facing off in a one-on-one match to determine the true winner.
Sandro believed that this finish would not only create a memorable moment for the fans but would also elevate the status of the women's division in FCW. It would show that the women were capable of delivering high-stakes, dramatic matches that could rival anything the men were doing.
Excited by the idea, Sandro quickly pulled out his phone and typed up the scenario, sending it to Dusty with a note explaining why he thought it would be a great finish for the match. He emphasized that such a scenario could bring more viewers to future shows and create a lasting impression on both FCW fans and casual viewers who might be tuning in for the first time.
After sending the message, Sandro felt a sense of satisfaction. He knew that the decision was ultimately up to Dusty and Steve, but he was confident that his idea had merit. With the FCW Live Show just a few days away, all he could do now was wait and see how things would unfold.
As Sandro finished his breakfast, his phone suddenly buzzed. When he picked it up, he saw Dusty had replied to his text, saying that his idea was fantastic and inviting him to come to FCW headquarters to perfect the plan with him and Steve. Excitement surged through Sandro as he quickly replied that he could be there soon. After sending the text, Sandro wasted no time. He changed into some comfortable clothes, grabbed his car keys, and headed out the door.
The drive to FCW headquarters was short, but Sandro's mind raced with possibilities. He had a good feeling about this meeting. Dusty and Steve had always been supportive, but the fact that they were this enthusiastic about his idea made him feel like he was truly contributing to something significant.
When Sandro arrived, he parked his car and quickly made his way inside the building. The familiar buzz of activity filled the air, and Sandro felt a sense of belonging as he walked through the halls. He reached Dusty's office and knocked on the door.
"Come in!" Dusty's voice called out.
Sandro opened the door and stepped inside. Dusty and Steve were already there, sitting across from each other at the table, looking eager to get started.
"Sandro! Come on in and take a seat," Dusty said with a smile.
Sandro did as he was told, sitting down opposite them. As soon as he was seated, Dusty and Steve began to shower him with praise for his idea.
"That was a brilliant concept you came up with," Steve said. "We hadn't even considered doing something like that."
Sandro smiled sheepishly. "Honestly, it just came to me after thinking about the 2005 Royal Rumble match between John Cena and Batista," he admitted.
Dusty and Steve both chuckled, clearly recalling the memorable botch that had led to one of the most iconic finishes in WWE history.
"It was chaotic, but it worked out so well in the end," Dusty said. "And that's the kind of moment we're aiming for here."
The three of them then dove into discussing the specifics of how the match would unfold. They talked about the pacing, the spots, and how to build the tension leading to the controversial finish. Sandro was hesitant at first, feeling like it wasn't his place to decide how the match should be structured. But Dusty and Steve were adamant that he join in the discussion.
"You came up with this idea, Sandro. You should have a say in how it plays out," Dusty insisted.
Sandro finally agreed and joined in, throwing out suggestions and brainstorming ideas with the two veterans. It was a collaborative process, with each of them contributing their thoughts on how to make the match as impactful as possible. After a lengthy discussion, they decided that Natalya would be the first to be eliminated, with both Nicole and April pinning her simultaneously.
With that decision made, the conversation shifted to who should ultimately win the match and become the inaugural FCW Divas Champion. Sandro felt a twinge of unease as he realized the gravity of the decision. He cared about both Nicole and April, and he knew that this title could be a game-changer for their careers.
"I think I'll sit this one out," Sandro said, trying to distance himself from the decision.
Dusty and Steve exchanged glances, clearly disappointed by Sandro's hesitation. "You can't back out now, Sandro," Steve said firmly. "You're a part of this. We value your input."
Reluctantly, Sandro stayed in the room, listening as Dusty and Steve discussed the merits of each woman. Nicole was younger, still developing as a performer but showing great potential.
April, on the other hand, was more experienced, with a solid grasp of in-ring psychology and the ability to cut strong promos. She was also one half of the tag team champions at WSU with Brooke Carter, proving that she was already championship material.
As the conversation continued, Sandro felt increasingly conflicted. He wanted to remain neutral, but his thoughts kept drifting back to April. She had worked so hard, and she had the skills to carry the division as its inaugural champion.
But then there was Nicole, who had the potential to be a breakout star. This decision was about more than just who would hold the title—it was about setting the tone for the entire division moving forward.
Finally, after what felt like hours of deliberation, Dusty and Steve came to a decision. "We think April should be the one to win," Dusty said, looking at Sandro for his reaction.
Sandro felt a wave of relief wash over him. He had been leaning toward April as well, and it felt right that she would be the one to carry the division forward. "I think that's the best choice," Sandro said, a smile forming on his face.
"April has the experience and the presence to be a strong champion," Steve added. "And with the way we've structured the match, both Nicole and Natalya will come out of it looking strong too."
The three of them spent the next hour ironing out the final details of the match. They discussed how April would win the restarted match against Nicole, ensuring it would be a hard-fought battle that would leave the audience on the edge of their seats. They also talked about the aftermath, how April's victory would be presented, and what kind of storylines could spin out from it.
By the time they were finished, Sandro felt a deep sense of satisfaction. They had crafted a match that had the potential to not only make history in FCW but also elevate the entire women's division to a new level of prominence.
As they wrapped up the meeting, Dusty leaned back in his chair and looked at Sandro. "You did good today, kid," he said, his tone sincere. "This is the kind of thing that can make or break a division, and I think we're on the right track."
Steve nodded in agreement. "The women's division is in good hands, and this match is going to show everyone what they're capable of."
Sandro felt a surge of pride. He had always believed in the potential of the women's division, and now he was seeing that belief come to fruition. It wasn't just about winning matches or holding titles—it was about making a lasting impact on the industry, one that would be felt for years to come.
As he left Dusty's office and walked back through the halls of FCW headquarters, Sandro couldn't help but feel a sense of accomplishment. He knew that there was still a lot of work to be done, but he was more motivated than ever to see it through. The upcoming FCW Live Show was going to be something special, and Sandro was proud to be a part of it.
When Sandro returned home later that day, he couldn't stop thinking about the upcoming match. He knew that April was going to be thrilled when she found out she was going to be the inaugural FCW Divas Champion. She had put in so much effort to help build the women's division, and now she was going to be rewarded for it in a big way.
Sandro decided to keep the news to himself for now, wanting to see April's genuine reaction when it was revealed. Instead, he focused on his preparation for the FCW Live Show. He had a match of his own to get ready for, facing the Puerto Rican Nightmare in the second round of the tag team tournament and he wanted to make sure he and Kofi delivered a performance that would complement the historic night that was about to unfold.
(A/N: Shoutout to Rycork for giving me this incredible idea even though I had to some changes lol! But it was much better than the previous one I had in mind!)
