37 First Baeksang Deviation?!

Not a lot of people who are Jaemin's age get to attend the award shows, aside from child actors of course.

He is basically too young, and actors who are too young often don't get casted at all, at least not until they turn eighteen or nineteen.

He was lucky, he was one of the youngest people ever in Korea, if not the youngest who attended the award shows while still being part of the main cast.

He had dressed himself up today, he really spent a lot of attention on how he looked, and how he would act if he would win an award. He had his speech already planned out.

He was nominated for a few awards, but Kim Soo-hyun in the past didn't win any award at this particular award show he was at, so he wasn't too worried he'd have to give his award show speech here.

The first award show, the one he was currently about to attend, was the 47th Baeksang Arts Awards. The show had already begun, and some trophies had already been given out.

The Baeksang Arts Award show is probably the most prestigious one out of all the award shows in South Korea, so he really wanted to win an award here, but that wouldn't happen.

He was being realistic, it was simply impossible.

He had been nominated for the same awards, and an extra award, which was quite the suprise.

- Popularity Award, Actor (TV)

- Best Actor (TV)

- Best New Actor (TV)

- Netizens Popularity Award

He had to beat out the heavy-weight idol actor, TVXQ's Park Yoo-chun who played in "Sungkyunkwan Scandal" for the Best New Actor award, and both the Popularity Awards.

And something a bit unrealistic, the Best Actor award.

Somehow, he had been nominated for it. It's very unique for a rookie actor, especially someone who is as young as he is, to get nominated for such an award. In the past, Soohyun hadn't even been nominated for this award, while he had.

But he was up against some veteran actors here, he thought he had less than a 5% chance of winning that award. No matter how talented in acting he was, he wasn't confident of beating someone with years of experience.

The System made up for that, but not fully. It could improve your acting skills, yes, but it couldn't make up for the experience that usually is supposed to come with it.

Soohyun had already done a few movies and dramas, while this was his first ever drama. And if Soohyun didn't win any awards here, then would he?

The Popularity Awards were even more unrealistic, that guy was an idol, he wasn't.

Being an idol brings so much fame, that rookie actors just can't compare. Obviously, more people would as a result, vote for Yoochun.

But he would have to wait and see what will happen, the first thing he now had to do, was walk the red carpet, alone.

Usually he would have to go with Suji, Taecyeon and JYP, but Soohyun hadn't done that, so he thought that he would do the same. He would join them later on, since he sits next to JYP.

He was wondering how people would react, it would be his first ever red carpet walk.

He also could be interviewed, and he even had to pose in front of a ton of camera's, all alone.

He was sitting in a limousine right now, the only thing he had to do was wait until he arrives. He was a little bit nervous, but he was a lot more excited. He could see a ton of actors and actrices today!

There were also many more awards to come, so it didn't matter if he wouldn't win any awards today.

The car suddenly stopped, his driver pulled down the window at the back of the driver's seat and said, "We're almost there, get ready. You can do it"

Even his driver sounded quite happy for him.

Without him even noticing, time had passed by way too quickly. It was already time for him to walk on the legendary red carpet.

He took a deep breath, encouraged himself, and got out of the car.

"AAAAAAAAHHHHHHH" He heard numerous high pitched voices screaming at him.

He was actually quite popular, the reaction of the masses was really something to remember. He couldn't hear accurately what they said, but due to them almost bashing through the iron fence, he knew they supported him.

Paparazzi was eveyrwhere, it almost looked like a movie set with how many camera's that were present at the scene.

He had to be all smiles right now, he couldn't afford to act arrogant here.

He stopped right in front of the camera's and posed how every other actor had done before him, and accompanied it with a bright smile.

The intense cheering for him had died down a bit, but that smile of his made it resurface again. It even caused the female paparazzi to drool.

He waited there for about half a minute, and then proceeded to go to his seat.

But he got stopped mid-way, by a reporter.

"Excuse me, do you have a bit of time for me?" He already had his microphone pushed right in front of his face, he couldn't say no even if he wanted to.

The camera's started being pointed at him, this was going to be his first interview on live television.

"Sure" His cheeks were basically already in pain because of how bright he had to smile the whole time.

"Alright, so this is your first award show right, do you hope to win any awards?" The man greedily looked at him, he talked very fast, not allowing him to think about his answers well, it seems like he was aiming to get some news out of him.

Jaemin could, and had to act humble now, humble even became his last name at the moment.

"Of course, everyone would. However, I don't expect to win any awards. I am already honored enough for even being able to get nominated for these awards."

The reported looked a bit dissappointed, "You have even got nominated for Best Actor as a complete newcomer, how do you feel about that?"

He answered back, "I was very suprised, it is a very important award after all. I thin I can be a bit proud of myself for being able to get nominated for such an award, but I think other the other nominees have a much higher chance of winning this award, since they did a lot better than me in my opinion."

The reporter now had an emotionless face, thinking, 'this kid gave some serious model answers.' He couldn't even spot one fault in them.

Jaemin had to go to his seat soon, so he politely said to the reporter that he'd leave now.

The reported just agreed, he wouldn't get any juicy comments out of him.

Jaemin calmly walked into the Peace Palace of Kyung Hee University, which is where the awards would be given, and tried to find his seat.

Some actors and actrices spotted him and couldn't help but look at him.

He noticed this, and remembered that his looks were really outstanding. They were even better than ASTRO's Eunwoo's looks, and he is known to be the most handsome/pretty male idol.

He himself couldn't even look away when he looked in the mirror, imagine if someone actually attracted to the opposite sex looked at him.

He spotted Suji, JYP and Taecyeon and walked over to them.

"Ah, you're here, come sit." JYP quickly moved to the left, giving him his seat.

All four of them talked to each other about how nervous they were, even JYP was nervous. It was his first time at an award show as well, and he would even perform a song here.

It was quite funny, all three of them, except Suji of course, were nominated for the Best New Actor award. That made three people of Dream High contending for the same award.

Although Taecyeon was nominated, he didn't represent Dream High, but Cinderella's Sister. But that still made three people of the same company end up contending for the same award.

Their conversation then got interrupted by the beginning performance, signifying the start of the award show.

Due to his high intelligence, his memory had become eidetic. He remembered everything he had seen in his past, including even the smallest details, which allowed him to know how this show was going to go.

He had researched a lot about k-pop, and he was basically a TV-watching mania, so he knew everything about this show.

The first award would be given after this performance, which was the Best New Actor award for Cinema, not for TV. The nominees would be announced first, and the person who won the award would be called up to the stage afterwards.

That award would be given to Choi Seung-hyun. He played a role in - 71: Into the Fire as Oh Jang-beom.

After that would be the award he, Taecyeon, JYP and Yoochun were nominated for. The Best New Actor for TV award.

The performance had ended, and the MC's walked up to the stage.

He didn't even pay a single bit of attention towards their speech and this Best New Actor for Cinema award.

He only cared about his awards, since he already knew the outcome of the rest of them.

And after waiting for a while, it was his turn.

The MC's then announced the nominees for Best New Actor for the TV award.

First scenes of the other nominees in their respective movies played. He, JYP, Taecyeon and Suji looked and laughed at each other, and encouraged each other when they appeared on screen.

Nobody of them would be winning anyway, but this was still a fun experience for him.

His fans, when he appeared, screamed as hard as they could. Quite embarrassing to say the least.

His support almost equalled the amount of cheering Yoochun got, who won the award in the past, which suprised him.

'Could it be?.....'

'No. No. There is no way, absolutely no way.'

He started gaining a little bit of false hope due to his fans, but he, in his heart, knew for sure that he wouldn't win this award.

The MC's then gave their speech about how talented this year's nominees were, he guessed that it was that which kind off consolated him?

And then they announced the one who would win the award.

"And the winner of the Best New Actor award for TV....."

He wasn't even nervous, the fact that he knew that he wasn't going to win was the reason for that. He thought it was a bit pointless that they waited so long, it already hurted him enough that he knew that he wasn't going to win, why did they have to make it so lenghty?

"Is......"
