Conversation

Killian felt his heart flutter hearing his mate's sweet words. She was so understanding whereas he on the other side kept on bombarding her with his pesky insecurities. He felt inadequate and less worthy to have a mate like her who was wonderfully flawless in his eyes. She was all he could ask for and more. She was the rare treasure he found in his life and would never trade it for something else even if he had to die. He wanted to spend his entire life with her and when his death neared, wanted to take his last breath lying on her lap. 

And Lyra could read what was going on in his mind, "Don't do that!" she exclaimed while flicking his forehead, "Don't you dare overthink about things that don't even matter" She didn't like how he looked so melancholic and forlorn like it was the end of the world. All because of his overthinking.
