Victor's words struck Demir like lightning on a stormy day. His hands stopped moving and the meat inside the wok started to char resembling his darkening heart. And only when he smelled the burnt food did he snap out of his daze and tried to reduce the fire to no avail. Maybe it would have worked if he was present at the moment however that was not the case here. His mind was already occupied with whatever Victor had uttered. It was about his mate after all. Everything he heard or would hear about his mate mattered to him. 

'Blake' this name was very familiar not only to Demir but also to Victor and Killian. Four of them trained together to become immortal beast men.
