A pretty worm
"Fox King? What are you doing here?'' Lyra asked while getting up from the ground. But it seemed like her words failed to reach Xavier's ears. Instead of answering her, he stepped towards her before holding her chin up to meet his eyes.
"Who did this?'' Xavier felt like he would explode at any moment. The glaring red mark on her cheek looked painful even for him who was just staring at it. She was a female and with this injury, it was normal for her to cry.
So he concluded this as the reason for her crying. His thumb gently caressed her bruised cheek making her flinch, "Is it hurting a lot?'' he asked while gazing at her eyes.
