6 Soul Prison

Before the lead bandit could voice his concerns out loud, the draigs that had appeared earlier begun their attack on the bandits.

Earth colored essence enveloped their lithe brown bodies, making it look as if the draigs were glowing baby dragons, albeit without cool wings to fly with.

Marie slowly took a few steps back and arrived at the edge of the clearing, clearly observing from sidelines.

Henri knew in her heart that these baffoons would not believe her, glancing towards Savien, Henri gave the woman a command.

"Soul Prison." Were the words uttered by her small mouth.

The bandit leader quickly let go of his twin swords, and prepared to flee at those two words.

Soul Prison! A spell with the ability to entrap souls who have done great wrong, or currently in the act of doing such. The level one had to be to be able to use such a grim spell was not paltry. Not at all. He wasn't as courageous as he liked to make himself out to be.

The other bandits around him while fighting off the draigs assault did not understand why their leader was attempting to flee the scene. They thought perhaps he was scared of the draigs who had rudimentary understanding of earth magic.

Little did they know it wasn't because of the draigs that the secretly well born man was attempting to flee, but instead because someone opposing them could supposedly use soul magic.

Even the chance of being caught in a soul prison spell was enough for him to completely abandon his men, who he actually didn't care for to begin with, and turn tail to quickly try and make his escape.

The Soul Prison Spell had three ways it could be used.

The first way was with light magic, to trap the soul in a person's body from responding because it would force their darkest secrets and wrong doings to be inflicted upon said person mentally. Basically a mental prison that stopped someone's mental willpower, or soul, from interfering or escaping from said prison.

The second way was to use dark magic to force a person into submission, thereby sucking the person in questions soul energy/essence/power inside a special item. While not many items could achieve such a feat the most common of them was something called a Soul Gem.

(madoka magica anyone?)

A Soul Gem was a type of valuable gem, and if a gem of such kind wasn't found, then a Soul Crystal could be used. The difference between a Soul Gem and a Soul Crystal when in relation to human souls was that Soul Gems were capable of preserving a humans soul intact, not just the energy from said soul. While on the other hand, a Soul Crystal could only maintain the essence or in other words energy/power that said soul had contained.

Quite simply, if a soul was put into a Soul Crystal, you were basically 100% assuredly killing that persons soul thus making them unable to partake in any supposed religious afterlife or reincarnations.

The third way the Soul Prison Spell could be used was limited to no type of magic indefinitely. It would just require an enormous amount of mana, or an equally or in many cases a several more enormous amount of essense to literally suck a whole living being, soul and body, or just sometimes soul if it was very powerful one, into a chamber within a magic item or alternatively a whole other dimension. This third way is used to imprison said soul and prevent them from interacting with the outside world. Or at least try to prevent them anyway, there's always loopholes when it comes to communication in any world.

It had only been about 15 seconds since Savien received her command and she had already withdraw several shiny rock like objects each one in between her slender pale ivory colored fingers.

Henri deftly leaped towards the retreating head bandit and landing on his head forcing him to fall to the ground dazed with a major migrain.

She twirled his twin blades and they now faced him, the hands clasping the handles looked like a normal child's hands.

The mans face went so pale his skin shade now resembled Rosies.

Savien after preparing her spell shouted an incantation and threw multiple projectiles the size of walnuts towards the bandits battling the draigs for their lives.

Thump! Thump! Thump!

The sound of the objects hitting their targets could be heard.

"Soul Prison, Fiendish Feast of thine foe!" Savien shouted with serious concentration written all over her face.

Before the bandits knew what had hit them, they screamed in short lived agony as their souls were sucked from their bodies and into the hard circular objects that had just made contact with their bodies.

The lead bandit although in much pain, witnessed this scene and couldn't help but pee himself.

He had made a big mistake this time!
