Chapter Twenty Nine: Marriage?!

"You're a witch?"

"I'll let you two girls talk. I need to go back and repair your bracelet, Ria." Then Uncle Stan disappeared.

"Yes," Tala says. "It's been in my blood since ancient times. Even my Lola Rosa's a witch."

I know her grandmother - Lola Rosa. She was into supernatural things and witchcraft. Rosa often tells stories about her ancestors in the Philippines who did healing and could speak to the dead in ancient times.

I thought they were just stories for entertainment about Tala's family tree. I didn't believe it at first, but it seems true after learning of her roots.

"I can not believe my best friend is a witch," I hugged Tala again but pulled back. "So, you already knew. About everything, even my parents."
