However, in the fourth-speed mode, the first ball fired hit Fire Dog because it didn't react in time. Following that, the second and third balls also struck it.

It seemed that Fire Dog's neural reaction speed limit was around a dozen meters per second.

Riley considered turning off the baseball pitching machine.

"Bark!" Fire Dog exclaimed urgently.

It didn't want to stop; it still had more to give!

Riley was taken aback, not expecting Fire Dog to notice his actions amidst the continuous assault of balls. Since Fire Dog chose to continue, Riley naturally didn't stop it. He knew that if he denied it another attempt, Fire Dog might sulk and make the mealtime less enjoyable.

Fire Dog refocused its attention on the balls. It had only been caught off guard by the sudden increase in speed.

After days of training, it wasn't going to let these balls defeat it so easily. Riley was astonished as he noticed that the Fire Dog, which had initially been consistently hit by the balls, quickly improved.

It progressed from being hit by one ball per shot to one in every three shots, and finally, by the end, it was hit by only one out of every ten balls. The progress was remarkable!

Riley couldn't help but marvel at how hardworking and talented his Fire Dog was.

Thirty minutes later, Fire Dog had reached a level where, on average, it was hit only once in every 45 balls.

Fire Dog showed no signs of fatigue, so Riley didn't stop the baseball pitching machine. His original plan for the day was simply to test the speed without pushing the body to exhaustion, knowing that the usual intense training might leave Fire Dog sore the next day, and affecting its performance.

Tomorrow was the special admission exam for St. Angela High School. Riley wanted Fire Dog to rest today to ensure it was in the best possible shape for the test.

However, Fire Dog was no longer in a testing mode. It was now in full training mode, and this would likely affect its condition for the exam the following day.

Riley hesitated about whether to call a halt.

Just then, a second Fire Dog, identical to the first, appeared out of thin air on Fire Dog's left side.

Riley stood there in shock, rubbing his eyes to make sure it wasn't some kind of illusion.

Riley couldn't believe his eyes. This unnatural phenomenon had to be related to Fire Dog's moves. He immediately accessed his Beast Tamer's Codex.

Riley checked these stats every night, before he going to bed.

But now, there was a new move that hadn't been there in the previous night—Shadow Clone.

Riley was shocked. Shadow Clone was a Intermediate level move, on par with Fire Fang.

It had been only about 10 days since Fire Dog had learned Spark, and now it had learn another Intermediate level move!

Normally, learning a move was a lengthy process that required guidance and training. Many new Beast Tamers who couldn't figure out how to teach their Spirit Beasts the moves they wanted often sent their Spirit Beasts to Training Centers.

These Training Centers were incredibly popular in today's society, often teaching only a sigle move, yet still ensuring their success, as long as the move was Intermediate level or higher.

Riley pressed the stop button and stared intensely at Fire Dog.

"Bark?" Fire Dog, seeing the balls were gone, looked at its Beast Tamer in confusion.

Why did the training stop?

Riley praised, "Fire Dog, if talent could be ranked, you'd undoubtedly be a S-Class talent."

"Bark~" Fire Dog responded, feeling a bit embarrassed by the sudden praise.

Why was he complimenting it so much all of a sudden?

In the next moment, Fire Dog realized something and turned its head to the left.

"Bark!!!"

It let out a terrified cry and sprinted towards Riley at a speed even faster than when it dodged the balls, and threw itself into his arms.
