Chapter 19

It had been three days since Adoneous had recieved the books in his enarch. The books were excessively elaborate, even though they were just introductory. Thanks to Neiveil's inherent constant cultivation, Adoneous had managed to stay awake, needing not to sleep. It had been 1 day since Neiveil had awoken up, and led out an earthshattering roar. As Adoneous had entered his mind space, he had come across Neiveil, with his eyes raged. The winds had picked up terrible velocity in the atmosphere and the sky was covered with dark rumbling clouds. Neiveil's roars were akin to roars in the space. Soon Samael had come galloping out of the forest.

"What is going on Master?"

"It seems Neiveil has just awoken."

Adoneous could not help but squint his eyes. Closing his eyes, he started to reach out to Neiveil through their mental connection.

"Neiveil, calm down. Calm down!"

Just as abruptly the storm had started, did the clouds scatter away. The wind once again returned to its original soothing draft form. As Neiveil flew down near the ground, Adoneous could see that despite rationality returned to his mind, his eyes still held paranoia and fear. It took the better part of an hour to slowly calm Neiveil. It seemed he could not feel the mental connection once he awoke from his slumber. Adoneous's eyes immediately crunched up.

"What do you mean you could not feel the menatl connetion between us."

"It is as I have said, master. Our mental connection seems to have evolved, as if akin to a fused mind."

Samael did not fail to put his thoughts into the matter.

"Master, the same happened to me. The mental connection has evolved! Don't you feel the improved connection between our mana and elements."

Now that Samael mentioned it, for the past half a month, Adoneous had indeed felt the improved connection. For him, it was so gradual that it felt normal. For Neiveil however, it seemed to be a sudden change. After all, he had been sleeping for a long time, and the change was too large and abrupt for him."

Reminiscing the memories of Neiveil waking up made Adoneous smile while reading his book. It truly was marvellous how this world made such an intimate connection between mere beasts, and together through a symbiotic relationship, together they grew stronger. In Adoneous's previous world, growing together was a rare luxury. It was a cut-throat world, where even the closest of your blood relatives would not think twie before reaping your life away if it helped them. Suddenly he was brought out of the whirlpool of his memories as his enarch started to vibrate. As he pressed the newly recognised recieve button from his new-found memories, he suddenly recieved a holographic message.

"Please report at the Academy Arena without fail, latest by 08:00 AM. The introductory/ Entrance Exmaniation will commence tomorrow. We wish you the best of luck from behalf of the Academy Faculty."

Adoneous grinned. It seemed that the time to prove to the world his worth had arrived.
