Kayden VS Zain

Zain activated his ability once more, sending put large claw strikes in the air. In his werewokf form, Kayden had more speed, allowing him to dodge the slashes. At the same time, he closed the distance, ready to slash at Zainnwith his clawed hand.

Upon closing the distance, the later swung his habd out, the saurling slashes producing one single large slash that went through the air, cutting through multiple objects in the process. Kayden was able to jump and avoid the slash just in time. Zain delivered another attack, the same as the single large slash he had initially produced , only that this time, there were two large slashes which formed a cross shape in the air.

It travelled swiftly. This time around, Kayden barely managed to dodge, since this attack was also able to rotate at will, something he didn't know Zain was even capable of manifesting.

"Self moving attacks," he said, abd the next second, the two large slashes began to swirl together, profucing another shape. Right in front of his eyes, the visible slashes had formed in to a vortex that spun with imme se speed, moving rapid throughout the classroom.

Kayden had to run around and jump just to avoid the large tornado. However, a couple times, his body was slashed, drawing out blood. The blood would then mix in with the tornado, turning it red, making ut into a tornado of blood.

'So much power... I can't believe Kumon was able to reveal to me something like this! For a while, i believed that i wouldn't be able to grow stronger, that i would simply be average for the rest of my life. However, he showed me a way i could make myself more powerful,' he thought, and in his hands, something else began to form.

"Omega Slash!" Another large slash had been released, travelling through the air, forming another shape. As it morphed, its shape resembled that of a creature the whole world had come to know.

"Is that-" before he could finish his sentence, the large tornado had caught up with him once again, rapidly tearing through his flesh as it spun at its own will. "Awooo!" He howled out in pain, however, it didn't stop there, as the vortex tpre throigh his flesh, drawing out blood.

Using his strength, he managed to pull away his body from the vortex, running a good distance in the other direction, however, the vortex quickly gave chase, rushing towards Kayden at a speed that was almost on par with his.

'When did Zain become so powerful?!' Kayden screamed in his head, jumping towards the wall. He was thinking of a way. A way he could somehow win this confrontation. Of course, Kayden was well aware that Zain was strong, but this was beyond his imagination.

This power, it was quite possible that he could rival even Kayla with this level of ability.

"Who are you? What do you want?" Hikari asked. "Why are you haunting me?!" He wished to know why this was suddenly happening to him. Why he was suddenly being harassed by this voice in his head.

"What i want from you, is the downfall of the military academy in the south..."

"The fuck is this thing?!" Kayla yelled, channeling her flaming fists, using them to punch through what appeared to be jelly as an octopus beast was attacking her. Although the beast had eight tentacles, making it seem like an octopus, surroundong its body, there was a thick, jelly-like aubstance that would shoot out and attack her.

The substance, although harmless for the most part, possessed a veey sticky nature. It would take a high amount pf heat to melt through it, anyother form of attack she had previously attempted were ineffective against it. Moreover, upon melting the jelly, it seemed it seemed to 'come alive', as it would then begin to wrap around her, attempting to drag her to the mouth of the beast.

"I need to get more creative!" She said, channeling her mana. Right then and there in the air, twenty missiles made of flames had formed. Pushing her fist forward, all twenty of them shot towards the beast, one loud explosion going off after the other. "This thing seems like it can really take a hit!"

What she was currently facing, was an advanced grade beast.

"Ever since i came to this planet, i had been growing stronger abd stronger with the more beast cores i absorb. Honestly, the way i see it, if the expedition were to take place, then perhaps everyone could advance as far as i have. If that's the case, then i'll just have to consider this as a head start."

The beast swung out one of its large tentacles, taking out over a dozen trees, but the attack had missed. Kayla, using her flames, propelled herself up in the air. Her previous attack hadn't done much damage, although the collective damage she had been inflicting on the beast so far was building up.

"This thing, why won't it just die already? I've been going at it for a while now, and honestly, I'm starting to feel a little..." A rumbling noise could be heard coming from her abdomen. She had no idea how long she had been on this planet, but one thing was clear, that being the fact that the hunger was slowly getting to her. The fact that she hadn't eaten in days, and that she jad been using her abilities time and time again, she was starting to feel the overall effect of it all.

Just then, the beast swung out one of its tentacles once again. Lost in thought, she wasn't paying attention. The attack was about to hit her, when suddenly, the large tentacle fell to the ground, followed by a large flash of red lightning.

"Looks like you were lost in thought back there. Newd a hand?" A man said with a grin, appearing right in front of her. The red lightning shooting out from his body, the red headband on his forehead, she remembered him quite well.

"Red band..." She said, before loosing conciousness and falling from the sky.

Red band rushed down to grab hold of her. He couldn't deal with both her and the beast at the same time, so instead, he fleq away, carrying Kayla in his arm.

"I don't know what's going on, but i intend to find out," he said, glancing down at her.

Kayden was being pushed to his limit. He never imagined Zain to have such an ace up his sleeve. So far, he had been producing high level attacks that were making minced meat out of him. He was finding ut hard to dodge, much less launch an offensive of his own.

The large vortex and humanoid were giving him no room to act. Seeing the way the situation was turning into, it began tk dawn on him that he would be unable to win this fight. Although he knew it would mean that he would fail the quest, what other choice did he have. Ot was either he lost the fight, or he forfeited, saving him from further injuries.

Moreover, this was still a training battle at the end of the day and not a real life battle to the death.

"Hmph, you actually decided to forfeit. I wasn't expecting that from you. I believed i would have to beat the crap out of you, but it seems like time has made you wise, even though it's just to a small degree," Zain said. "So, i guess that means i take your rank, abd you take mine. Oh, how the mighty have fallen."

He deactivated his ability, cancelling out both of his attacks. At the end lf it all, the room had been somewhat destroyed, multiple training objected sliced up. Thankfully, the school doesn't punish students from damaging property in the process of training or sparring.

"How did you get so strong?" Kayden asked, cancelling his transformation, returning back to his human form.

"I'm the one who should be asking the questions, idiot? Or have you forgotten our deal?" Zain retorted, stepping forward. "Now, you will answer every question i ask you, whether you want to or not, and if you decide to be stubborn, you know what i can do to you," Zain said, and from his right hand, a couple small slashes could be seen swirling about.

"Alright then... What would you like to know?" Kayden asked, raising both of his hands to ahow that he had surrendered. 'I wonder what he's going to ask me?'

"Where... How... did you get your ability?"
