Battle Royale Streamer in an Apocalyptic World

Okay, before you drop a review before reading this novel, let me just tell you this novel won't be about reading others playing games via a novel nor is it a fan-fic, but rather it's about someone who was known for being a god in PUBG carrying his playstyle and survival instincts into the real world when the apocalypse took place. This book is inspired by Code Geass, Gundam Seed, Gundam 00, and PUBG. Okay, now for the real synopsis, after battle royale games went mainstream and PUBG & Fortnite took it to staggering heights in popularity, streamers of this game were also brought in to share the spotlight. Amongst all PUBG streamers, the group Big D Brings Spring stood at the top, with the squad consisting of Phantom Pen15, Ricedoctor, Dildo Swaggins, and Givemethatchicken. So yeah, these guys were streaming PUBG, making good money, and suddenly sh*t hits the fan and the apocalypse happened. Is Big D gonna bring spring this time? Or is it gonna go limp and flap in the wind? Already familiar with survival, scavenging and battle royale style gameplay, can these ding dongs use what they learned in video games to survive in this new world, not be retarded, farm up, and rise up against the forces behind the apocalypse? Author Note: Yeah it’s a fiction, first time writing, but have been translating for 2 years now on both good and trash novels (one of the best and one of the worst on Webnovel), which taught me what to do and what not to do. Now the first question is, based on the username in the squad Big D Brings Spring, which ethnicity is each from? First 10 people that guesses right gets free boner- I mean bonus chapters and early access for a month. Post your answers in the form of 5-star reviews, and the winner will be announced when the novel reaches 2M views. Cover designed by DylanWE from DeviantArt.

Battle for the Newly Awaken Innovators

Innovators were like the new oil, a small battle between forces upon spotting a newly-awaken innovator was pretty common. It wasn't just for fighting over the new innovators, but it was also a chance to evaluate the current power other forces were at.

When only about one in every ten thousand people have the potential to become the innovator, not to mention how it's unpredictable when they could even awake their power, every innovator was a precious asset. Thus, for forces of different background such as government, corporate, or dark world, they would all have eyes in their competitors to notify them when a new innovator was spotted.

Knowing full well of this, Nexus obviously knew this operation would be extremely riskier since they were extracting not just one, but two innovators. To prepare for the worst, they dispatched 2 crimson-tier innovators as convoy that escorted them to the helicopter pad, 2 more crimson-tier innovators as pilots, and ambushing 2 gold-tier innovators in the vicinity.

The rotor began spinning faster, and as expected, just as the helicopter was about to leave the ground, the system immediately shut off as a faint gold-colored stream of light entered the rotor system and center con of the helicopter.

Immediately, they knew something was off. It was recorded that certain innovators could control their GN particles to cause disruption to electronic systems, but it was an ability only someone of at least gold-tier or higher could use.

"Call for reinforcement!"

"System fully down!"

The innovators from Nexus immediately had a stern expression. Whose force could these be from?

On Nexus's side, their two gold-tier innovators remained hidden. Both of them were assassin type, excelling in the ability to hide their presence using GN particles, and the order given by their superior was to only intervene if they could confidently retreat. After all, gold-tier innovators are a lot more rare than crimson, thus it would not be a good tradeoff risking two of them even at the potential expense of 4 crimson-tiers and 2 potential recruits.

As a result, the whole team knew well that the 2 gold-tier would stay hidden until the enemy fully revealed themselves and their capabilties, and that the crimson-tier innovators may very well be the sacrifice needed to bait out all of the enemies' cards.

"Set up a perime-" Just before the leader of the military squad could finish, a steel arrow silently traveled through them in the blink of an eye. No ordinary soldiers could escape the calling of this grim reaper. The arrow travelled quickly, leaving behind a crimson particle trail, and it instantly arrived before the Nexus innovators.

Grabbing and breaking it with one hand, the Nexus squad leader shouted angrily, "If you have the balls, just show yourself! What's up with hiding like a coward and sneak attacking!"

A young man that seemed to be barely 20 appeared from the ground in white cloak, his eyes emitting crimson-light. The smile on his face left the others at unease.

"I thought it was some big shot, turned out to be just a kid," a burly man said as he came off the helicopter.

"Judging by the color of your eye and your attack, you seem to be about our level, yet there are four of us and one of you," a woman also came off the helicopter, rubbing her fist and palm together.

The other two also got off. Not wanting to risk going in one by one, they decided to take on the young man at once.

The woman immediately charged straight forward with twin daggers both coated in crimson light, while two attacked from the side and the burly man jumped agilely into the air with a big heavy shield, wanting to smack the kid into the ground.

But, when all four them just came into the vicinity of the young man in white cloak, an outburst of particles were instantly released from his body, taking into the shape of the upper body of a devil.

The horn on the devil's head immediately pierced through the burly man and his shield, while its claws each grabbed a guy coming at him from the sides. The burning particles on the claws immediately incinerated the two as they let out miserable cries.

Before the woman could even react, the blades in her hand already disappeared and reappeared in the hands of the young man as he stabbed forward.

The battle ended before it could even begin.

"We need to report back. This kid was never recorded in our data base, and his capabilties are simply too threatening!"

The two hiding in the vicinity didn't perfect their stealth ability yet, so they couldn't hide their tracks and presence completely when they are on the move. As a result, they decided to move once the guy in white cloak leaves.

next chapter will unveil more capabilities of innovators ~
