1 A Great Find

I don't remember who I was or what I did in my past life, I do however remember the world I came from and all the things I had seen while living there. That is how I knew I was in the Marvel Universe and my Father was Thanos, a terrible Titan.

My current personality is not one from my past life either, it was sculpted by my experiences growing up around Titans. Yes, I was not as evil as my family, but I was ruthless and had no problem with killing. Only the strong survive, I've seen too many weak die. The only way for the weak to survive is to get stronger or have someone stronger stand up for them. I was no Hero, but I did find myself pitying lesser lifeforms from time to time. They reminded me of the earthlings that roamed the streets of my old world.

As a baby and even a toddler, my father treated me fairly well. It wasn't until my preteens that he started to care less about me. He had been waiting for me to show some more power inherited from him that never came.

The only thing I inherited from my father was his gigantic stature and his semi immortality. I can still die of old age or be destroyed by someone or something stronger, but I'm immune to diseases, I don't have to eat or drink, I have unlimited stamina, most toxins or diseases cannot harm me, my mind cannot be controlled or altered in any way, and I will live a number of centuries before dying of old age. Still, I didn't have the super durability or other many powers my father had. My small power may seem great, until you compare me to him or my brother Thane.

My brother Thane's powers were somewhat unstable, but he had a lot more and better powers than I had. His powers included Interstellar Travel, Cosmic Pyrokinesis, Resurrection, Immortality, Temporal Manipulation, Telepathy, Telekinesis, Death Touch, amber encasement, black vortex empowerment, super strength, and super speed that was as good as Quicksilvers.

My father was an immortal genius with super strength, super durability, telekinesis, and many other cool powers. Although my Strength could be considered 'super' compared to a regular human, but compared to the big beings of this Universe, I was nothing and my family made sure I didn't forget it.

Still, my father may have despised me and saw me as trash, but he saw my brother as a threat. I would rather be seen as trash by him, than to be seen as a threat.

My mother which my father has never mentioned aside from telling me she died giving birth to me had passed down a power of her own to me that I found useful. I could heal in the blink of an eye. Although I found the skill to be good, my father laughed in my face when I told him about it. In front of him, my huge body felt small. Another thing I inherited from my mother was her skin, unlike my father I had red skin, long black hair, a matching black beard, and my chin looked normal underneath the beard. I was beyond thankful for not inheriting some of my fathers features.

"Sisyphus, what are you doing? go get the things I asked you to get, hurry though, I plan to leave soon. If you don't get back before I'm ready to leave, I'll rip off one of your arms and feed it to you". My father said as he looked at me with disgust and embarrassment.

He wasn't lying, he ripped off a few of my fingers in the past and made me eat them. They grew back, but the emotional trauma stuck with me ever since. Shitting the bones out on the toilet was also a pain.

I quickly made my way to the nearby shops on this planet. My father wanted me to purchase some things to repair his ship. If I failed to do it in a certain time frame or messed something up, id end up paying dearly.

As I was heading to the ship repair shops, something on a shop keepers stall caught my eye, so I approached it to confirm my thoughts. Sure enough, on the stall surrounded by obvious junk was a Timer from a show called Sliders. It was an old science fiction tv show from my old life.

The timer could open an einstein-Rosen-Podolsky bridge, that would allow one to travel to parallel earths. The only problem was, it was random and you were likely never able to find yourself back home unless you were able to find a way to improve the device or just get extremely lucky.

Considering I was on planet Wilamean currently, it would probably send me to an parallel Wilamean planet. If the planet is not in an alternate universe or destroyed, Id be floating in space helpless until I could use the timer again. Still, that didn't sound as bad as my current life.

I went to the shopkeeper and bought the Slider Technology from him, it was cheap because the shop keeper had no idea what it was or did, but it was also not my money. This was the money my father had given me to spend on parts for the ship. I had no idea if this even worked or if it just merely resembled the Timer in my memory, but was a piece of junk. I was betting my arm on this device, maybe more.

After buying the timer I went to a vacant area, pointed it to an empty space and pressed the timer button to activate the wormhole. To my relief, a beautiful blue wormhole formed, I had long ago already made up my mind to escape if I ever had a real chance, so I didn't think twice and stepped through it.

Unlike in the show, I didn't get to experience traveling through the wormhole, I just simply stepped through and found myself on a parallel planet wilamean. Stepping onto the planets soil relieved my worries of floating in space until I was able to use the timer again.

Looking around, I saw many different races on this planet. Some were even human like. Most of the beings that saw me walk through the portal kept their heads down and ignored me out of fear of the unknown. Most that is, except for the two with what appeared to have lightsabers on their hip.

I was sure it wasn't everyday you saw a giant travel via portal. The two possible Jedi's approached me before speaking. "Halt, Please state your name and business, failure to do so could mean death".

I felt their words try to enter my brain and try to control me, which of course didn't work.

I smiled, and why wouldn't I? This was the best day of my life. I was free from my Father. Every time I had ran away from him in the past, not only would I regret it, but I couldn't escape him for long at all. There was no way he could find me here and I was basically handed the key to unlimited power. Unlimited power that I could hopefully use against my Father in the future if I ever make my way back.

I put the timer in my pocket for safekeeping. My clothing was the same as my fathers and was very durable so I didn't need to worry about harm coming to it. I then faced the two Jedi.

"My name is Sisyphus and i'll be the one asking questions"
