That's not my tail

~~~~~ Dean's POV ~~~~~

'What is this? Didn't I just die to that sword strike? The little boy is gone, but now I got to face this giant human instead? I didn't know there could be a human bigger than me.'

The human looks right into his eyes. 'Now you are dead!'

...

'She's still... alive... Is it supposed to take this long? What happened to my deadly gaze! Oh well, I got to do something or I will really die this time.

He launches a powerful tail strike against the giant human. He was waiting for the impact to free himself from the arms of his foe. But instead of the impact, he could only feel a soft and springy feeling below his body. When he took a look at his own tail, he was stunned.

'That... that is definitely not my tail.' His supposed tail, the right foot, was embedded in the breast of the human holding him.

"Baby, you can't kick your mother like that. While it was okay before you were born, if you continue to kick me, I will have to punish you." There was a big smile on her face.

Still stunned with the changes happening to him, he started to get nervous. He didn't know what to do, what kind of situation he was in or what the woman in front of him was saying. Tears started to appear in his eyes. It's was an instinct that comes with being a baby, when they are nervous they cry, a lot. When she saw him tearing up. She tried to comfort him.

"It's okay, baby. Mommy will not punish you. I was just joking. So, please don't cry, okay." she was feeling guilty, she didn't wanna make him cry, not at all. She hugged him as tight as possible, while speaking comforting words to him.

After a while, he started to calm down. 'Did I really become a human. How is that even possible? I can feel some sort of connection with her. Is she perhaps my mother? If so, did I just tried to kill my own mother? Also, that man right next to us seems to be someone close as well. But the connection I feel is much stronger than her. I don't really know how to explain this feeling, it is like my very being resonates with them. I never felt anything close to it before.' there were still countless questions in his head.

'But for now, let's put all the question away to answer them at a later date. I just want to enjoy the moment. I'm not dead and there is someone that takes care of me. It's just too comfortable. Do all humans experience this feeling?' the basilisk, that has been mostly alone and ignored, was overwhelmed by the attention he was receiving. He was kind of... Happy.

He was enjoying the moment until the door was suddenly opened with a loud sound.

"Sister in law, are you alright?" a woman came into the room. She came right next to them in a second. They started to talk to each other, he tried to listen, but he had no idea what they were talking about.

At this moment, he was more focused on the connection he was sharing with these three people. He was sure they were family. What confused him was, how could the woman who just came into the room be connected to him closer than his mother?

"It's not right. I feel a stronger attraction to her belly." Once he concentrated on that connection, he could feel a small heart slowly and steadily pumping blood to a little body. "So, she is pregnant as well. I wonder if it's a girl or a bo... Wait... whats my gender? I hope I didn't become a girl. That would be really awkward for a king of serpents, not that I met any other serpents. It was just something Salazar kept saying." he kept listening to the peaceful sound of the heartbeat.

As he was just about to fall asleep, he woke up with a shake. A man he was seeing for the first time, took him in his arms with a stupid grin.

'Just as I was about to sleep.' he tried to struggle out of his hands but it was futile.

'I hate being a baby, I can't even move as I please. I already miss being a basilisk.' as he wished to be a basilisk once more, he started transforming. ' Wow, I thought I was stuck being a helpless baby.' once he was in his serpent form, he slithered back into his mother's arms before turning back to his human form. 'Yes, this is much better.' without minding the shocked gasps around him, he continued his sleep where he left.

I tried to write the previous chapter events from his point of view, I hope it wasn't a repetitive and boring chapter.
