New home

The creature had a long tail, was tall and long, slim body, large black antlers, a slim face with gleaming gray eyes, and small black retractable spikes on its back. It had four long, slender, yet muscular legs, two large wings, and stripes on its body in blue and gold.

"Wow," Myalis said and Calris smiled as Myalis lifted her hand, wanting to touch it but it growled at her.

Myalis was about to pull back, but didn't and looked the creature directly in its eyes, he began getting closer to her and Jina grabbed onto her mother's arm and Lilian looked at her.

"Mom, he can get pretty angry at times, is it a good idea to let this go on?" Jina asked and Lilian chuckled, then patted her on the head.

"Relax kiddo, it's going to be okay, she can do this," She responded and Jina sighed before returning her attention to Myalis.

"I mean no harm to you, you are amazing," She said and the creature looked at her and Calris smiled at them.

"Can I touch you?" Myalis asked as she brought forth her hand, the creature sniffed her then bowed his head and closed its eyes before bracing his face against her palm and she exhaled deeply.

Calris looked at Lilian then she smiled and he picked up his bag from the ground as two more of the creatures arrived, Myalis flinched and looked at them but noticed they were smaller.

They then approached her and she glanced at them, then smiled and placed her hand on their heads and the biggest one looked at her and Calris sighed.

"I told you they will like her, they are good at judging character," Calris said and Lilian nodded as they approached the creatures which had surrounded Myalis.

"We will be taking these three, Myalis, which one do you want to ride?" Calris asked and she glanced at him.

"I can choose?" She asked and he nodded, then the big one pushed her with his mouth and she looked at him.

"I think one already chose you, we will take the other two, they are big enough to carry four people at once for at least ten hours without stopping, but we will be stopping so..." Lilian said and Calris nodded then Myalis sighed as the big guy lifted his front right leg up and Myalis looked at him.

"Go on, climb up," Lilian said as she and the two youngest children got onto another one and Calris and Jina got onto the other.

Myalis sighed and climbed onto the creature then it stretched its wings and she smiled.

"Hold on, tightly, he is hard to stay on at times," Lilian said, Myalis held onto the creature tightly and he ran off along with the other two and then they took off together.

"Woah," Myalis said as they soared through the sky and she looked down and smiled.

'I haven't seen a view like this in a while, it feels quite relaxing,' Myalis thought as she braced her head against the creature.

It glanced at her before flying up higher and she looked at the clouds, then smiled before looking at the family beside her, who seemed to be enjoying themselves and she exhaled deeply, remembering the good moments she had with her and gnashed her teeth the minute her mother's death came flashing before her eyes.

Myalis hugged the creature and closed her eyes as she felt the air brushing against her boy due to which, it made her feel relaxed, Calris and Lilian looked at her before looking at each other.

"Myalis, are you okay?" Calris asked, she looked at him and then smiled.

"Yeah, I am fine, thanks," She responded and a frown appeared on his face as she looked in the other direction and his wife patted him on his shoulder and he took a deep breath and then smiled.

At the time, they were worried about her, but they knew that she was strong and she would pull through, no matter what happened.

"Calris, how long until we arrive at your home?" Myalis asked.

"A few hours, don't worry, we might arrive sooner with how they are flying, you just relax," He responded and she smiled.

"Thank you both," She said and they smiled.

"Don't mention it," Lilian replied.

"She is right, there is no need for all of that, in just a few weeks, you will be a new person," Calris added and Myalis smiled and then exhaled deeply.

Hours passed them flying and making stops at a few different places and finally, just after night fell, they arrived at their destination.

Just outside of the big city, they landed on a small island that had a bigger temple and a few other buildings along with it and there were a few people there as well as a few more of the Qilins.

Everything on the island was different and fancier than the one they stayed at before.

Myalis noticed a few different magical creatures flying above the island and she smiled then Calris patted her on her shoulder.

"Welcome to your new home," Calris said and Myalis exhaled deeply.

"This is your home?" She asked and Lilian nodded as the kids ran into the building and the Qilins roared.

The air around them got heavy and the energy from within the ground began surging around them.

Myalis looked around and the Qilin that liked her flew off with the others and Myalis chuckled.

"This place is beautiful," She said and Calris nodded.

"Well, there are only a few weeks remaining until the opening of the academy, you are right next door, the academy is not far outside the city, are you ready to fully start your real training, starting tomorrow?" Calris asked, she looked at him and then bowed her head.

"Yes, I am ready to start," She responded.

"Good, let's go inside, we will show you around, this place is quite big, but don't worry about getting lost, there are directions at every corner, from tomorrow, the hard parts of your training will begin," He said as he walked away and she smiled then followed them within the building.
