3 Battle??

Mandibles flack and snap as the creature's attention is focused on James. Attenae flick and swish as James slowly pushes himself backwards. The creature, now obviously a giant ant, suddenly breaks into motion directly at James. Panicked James intintictively throws up his hands in a desperate attempt to save himself....

A minute later James looked up and the ant seems to have hit a barrier of sorts, it's legs tredmilling furiously in the dirt as it struggled to reach James.

James stared in abject wonder at the ant struggling against what seemed to be the air itself.

Then he looked at himself and realised the crystals in his wrists were pressed together where he went to protect himself. The sapphires were glowing bright.

"Is this me?" James said aloud. James then focused his mind on the ant and it's legs stopped moving, yet the creature still struggled like it was imprisoned by a multitude of invisible hands.

James imagined the hands tightening on the ant carapace groaned and cracked. Pushing further the ant crushed together under the force.

"Fuck" James cursed at the surprise, jumping back.

"What's happened to me?" He said as he stared at the crystals and lines that lay embedded in his skin.

Gathering his thoughts he looked at the ant.

'Well that was obviously some kind of giant ant and ants live in a colony so there should be more around here' He thought to himself whilst nervously looking around.

After scanning the area he changed his direction and left quickly hoping to find shelter before light fades.
