THIRTY-ONE
"What the hell is going on here?!"
I turned around slowly to see Brad, Avalor and Chris staring at us with shocked looks on their faces.
"Why don't you ask your son that?" I let go of Grayson and Georgina quickly held my arm for support as she looked down.
"How dare you beat up my son like this?" Avalor ran to Grayson and helped him stand straight.
"He deserved it. If I was a minute late, your son would have harassed Georgina and nobody would be witness to that act"
Everyone turned to Grayson in shock and he looked down in shame.
"What?!" Avalor exclaimed.
"Do you have any idea of what you just said?" Brad asked me in a steel voice and I raised my head to meet him in the eye without hesitation.
"I am completely aware of what I said, sir"
"That's impossible. Tell me she is wrong, Gray. Tell me!" Avalor cried out to her son.
The silence that came from Grayson was enough for anyone with functioning brains to know that he was guilty.
Brad strode over to Grayson and punched in face resulting in him falling down. Chris quickly ran and held his uncle back while Avalor covered her face in utter shame.
"I always knew you were an imbecile but today, you made regret why I call you my son"
The entire hall was silent after Brad's statement and Grayson looked up, his eyes filled with ushered tears and my heart tore a little for him.
"Get out!"
"What?" Avalor asked in confusion.
"I said get out, Grayson. Never let me see your face again" Brad gritted.
"Uncle, you should think about this before you-"
"I have made my decision, Chris. I can no longer call a dimwit like him my son"
"You want me to leave?" Grayson stood up.
"Fine, I will leave. I was sick and tired of this stupid family anyway" Grayson yelled as tears fell down from his eyes.
"What are you saying? You will not be going anywhere!" Avalor interrupted.
"Why do you care, Huh? Just go take care of Regina like you always do. Nobody cares about me or my feelings, Father is always concerned about Will and you are crazy about Regina. What about me? Who cares about me?" He whimpered and punched the wall as tears fell from his face.
"Go to your room and don't let me see you until the party is over" Brad said and Grayson glared at him before he went down the hall to his room.
"I apologize on my son's behalf. He must have drank too much, he is usually not like this" Avalor said to Georgina who was clinging onto me like I was her lifeline.
"She is a bit shaken up so she can't speak right now" I answered when Georgina didn't say a word.
"Alright. Take her to her room" I took her hands and walked her down when Avalor called me.
"Rosaline"
"Yes, ma'am" I turned around.
"Nobody hears of this, is that understood?" she said as a warning.
"Of course, ma'am" When I turned back, I rolled my eyes and took Georgina's trembling hand in mine.
"Rose-" he ran to me, about to say something but I stopped him with my hand.
"Don't, Chris. Just don't" I left him alone in the hall and took Georgina to her room.
I put her on the bed, took off her shoes and covered her tight with the blanket. When she closed her eyes, I was about to leave before she held my hand tightly.
"T-thank you" she let out shakily.
"Go to bed, we will talk tomorrow"
I opened the door to leave when I saw Helen rushing down to the room.
"I ran here as soon as I saw your message. Where's she?"
"She's inside, sleeping but I don't think that's going to be long. Please stay by her side, I need to attend to Regina"
"OK. Get going" she said and I moved back to the hall but stopped by the kitchen to get a glass of water first.
The drama that occurred was totally unexpected and it drained a lot of my energy.
I poured a cup for myself and gulped it all down in a go, I was about pouring another one when I heard a set of heels, stepping inside the kitchen and stopping right before me.
I looked up and saw the infamous voodoo doll staring right at me. Her eyes carried jealousy, hatred and anger and I couldn't care less.
"Get me a glass of wine" she spoke and it was as though crickets were chirping in my ears.
When she saw the way I blatantly ignored her, she cleared her throat.
"I said get me a glass of wine" she slightly raised her voice and I drank my water as though no one was in the kitchen with me.
"I am talking to you, good-for-nothing maid!" she spat.
I froze at her last statement and my grip on the glass went tighter, up till the point my knuckles got white.
"Listen here, you stupid voodoo doll" she gasped when I finally spoke.
"Your hands and legs are still perfectly intact so I believe you can get your wine yourself and I may be a maid in this house but I definitely am not your maid but since you still insist on me getting you a glass of wine then who am I to say no?"
I moved over to the wine bottle and poured a full glass and head towards her direction with an evil smirk plastered on my lips.
"Here's your wine, ma'am" I poured the entire glass on her lovely green dress and her eyes widen at the what I just did.
I drank the last drop of wine and put the glass on the counter with a smirk as I enjoyed watching the view of voodoo doll shocked expression.
Ah, I love being a bitch.
