The Change In Known History

Nitin was aware of the term " Churning Of The Ocean" . He has read about it in childhood . And it was a very known story in Hinduism.

According to the Myth , Great Sage Durvasa presented a garland made of Beautiful flowers to Lord of Heaven Indra . Indra was astounded at the gift and wore the garland but Bees were attracted by the Fragrance of the Flowers which were used to make the garland. Annoyed by the swarming bees , Indra threw the garland on the ground.

Sage Durvasa who was already someone who was known for his Feiry nature and had tendencies to get angry very easily felt that Lord Indra insulted him by rejecting his present .

So he Cursed the Devas and The Devas lost their strength , fortune and energies. They became powerless and Mahabali ( king of The Asuras at that time ) used this as his advantage and took control of the heaven.

Devas under Durvasa's curse were no match for Asuras and lost all hope. In the end they pleaded Lord Vishnu for help. Vishnu told them that they should start the Churning of the ocean along with Asuras and split the nector of Immortality(Amrita) among themselves.

Devas weren't ready to split Amrita with Asuras so Vishnu assured them that he will make sure that Asuras won't be able to drink Amrita. Asuras unaware of the fact agreed to the task and both parties agreed to equally divide artifacts and gems that would come out of the ocean.

Thus , Mountain mandara which was strong enough to withstand the task was chosen as the rode for the Churning . Vasuki ( King Of Nagas , and the one to reside on Lord Shiva's neck ) was chosen as the rope for the Churning and Makur ( A Giant tortoise , An avatar of Lord Vishnu ) was chosen as the foundation to keep the mountain stable .

During the process many invaluable gems and Artifacts and beings came into existence which were distributed among Devas and Asuras and some of them were presented to The Trinity (Lord Brahma , Lord Vishnu , Lord Shiva) by Asuras and Devas. Goddess Lakshmi was one these beings and she took Lord Vishnu as her eternal partner .

Before Amrita came into existence Halahala ( Black mass of poison ) spread through the world . It was So dangerous that every living thing and all of creation was at danger because of the poison but was later consumed by Lord Shiva and even he felt pain because of it . In the end Halahala stopped at Shiva's throat turning its color blue naming him Nilakantha ( One with Blue throat ).

After that , Dhanvantri ( Divine physian of Devas ) along with amrita in a pot came into existence and he presented the pot to Mohini ( female avatar of lord Vishnu ). Lord Vishnu used his powers and fed the Amrita to the Devas while Asuras were tricked .

Devas retained their strength and took back heaven.This was the story Nitin knew.

Vishnu knew about that fact and laughed while he looked at the distance and said " There is a difference between The churning you know and the Churning which occured in this reality ".

Nitin's ears perked up at the word ' This Reality !' but before he could ask anything Vishnu with a sighpointed towards a distant place where a sage with long white hairs and beard could be seen kneeling .

Nitin saw the scene with eyes full of glitter cause in front of the sage he could see Three different entities. which he knew at a single glance was The Trinity. which included Lord Brahma , Lord Vishnu And Lord Shiva.

Nitin Looked at Lord Vishnu beside him and asked " what's that Lord Vishnu ?" .

Lord Vishnu said without taking his eyes off from the scene " The Change in History ".
