Questioning the people (Lily’s POV)

All this time I thought Oliver hated starting small talk. Maybe he just wanted to make the monorail ride to Killerpatty park less awkward? You know what, I think after all of this over I'll buy Oliver a Christmas present just as a token of gratitude, I'm just wondering what he would want. "Now entering Killerpatty park!" The announcer said as the monorail stopped, "We'll continue this later, right now it's game time." Oliver said as he got of the train.

I looked in amazement as I saw Killerpatty Park. It looked like it had better days but I didn't care about that since it's a park with a statue of the greatest hero ever Killerpatty! "Alright so let me recap on the plan, we'll all go around and ask about Grin Scurvy, Lily you'll be accompanied by Atom while I'll go around asking questions alone." Oliver explained to me and Atom, "You got it leader!" I said as I gave a salute to Oliver, "Same here." Atom replied, "Alright then, lets find this bastard." Oliver said as we began to split up.

"Now where would be a good place to start?" I said to myself, "Well I personally would say go ask a single individual instead of a small group just incase something happened." Atom said to me when suddenly I see a poker game in progress, "Over there Atom!" I said to him as I walked towards the poker game, "or we can just ignore my recommendation." Atom disappointingly said, "Ugh, I'm out." A Thug said as I approached the table, "let us start the next round." The dealer said, "hold up!" I yelled out, "Don't forget about me" I boastingly said to the group.

"Go away little girl, only Apex members allowed this game." The dealer said trying to brush me off, "Ad Summitatem?" I said hoping that the phrase would work here, "And a new player has entered make way people." The dealer said as I was given a stool, I was playing against four other people, "Alright place your bets people." The dealer said, The thugs began to put huge amounts of cash onto the table, I pulled out a five dollar bill.

I was given my cards three sevens, I began my interrogation to the nice fellow on my right... I should've saw how intimidating he looked before, "Hey, um..." I began to stutter, "So, I was wondering if you know what's up with Grin Scurvy?" I finally said it, he looked at me with such a evil look on his face, he looked me up and down, "Boss. make. deal. here." the swole thug slowly said, it sounded as if he didn't speak english, "Do you not speak english sir?" I questioned him, "Russian." He said, "Oh don't worry I took Russian last semester, lemme repeat it again." I said, "Вы знаете, что здесь делает Грин? (Do you know what Grin is doing here?)" I said in the most fluent Russian ever, he looked over in surprised, "Здесь никто не понимает по-русски, поэтому мне приходится использовать мои плохие знания английского (No one else here understands russian so I have to use my poor english skills)" He joyfully said to me, "Если бы я действительно хотел, я мог бы разорвать Грин Цинги на части, но это все, в любом случае, вернемся к тому, что вы сказали, Грин здесь, заключает сделку по оружию с конкурирующей бандой, пока мы говорим. (If I really wanted to I could rip apart Grin Scurvy but It's whatever, anyways back to what you said Grin is here making a weapons deal with a rival gang as we speak.)" the swole thug explained everything, "Спасибо господин! (Thank you mister!)" I thanked the thug, "Нет проблем, девочка-зайчик. (No problem, bunny girl.)" He said as he gave me a smile.

Atom began talking to me in my head, "You know russian?" He asked me in surprising manner, "huh, yeah, in school we have to take atleast one foreign language so I thought why not take four so now I'm pentalingual in Russian, Spanish, French, Japanese, English and Canadian." I explained to Atom, "Wait Canadai- oh." He said as he understood the joke, "私はこのポーカーゲームに集中する必要があります.この会話は後で続けます (I need to focus on this poker game. This conversation will continue later)" I said to Atom, "Umm I may have wandered the earth since the 1940's but I only know english." He said since he can't understand Japanese, "ごめんなさい (sorry)" I apologized to Atom, "Stop it!" He yelled as he went away.

The game was getting close to ending and I had no idea what I was doing during it since the rules of go fish aren't the same in poker. It's just me and this thug who thinks he's cool, sadly my Russian friend lose but I cheered him up by saying that half of my winnings would go to him, "so Bunny girl, what's your move?" The cool acting thug questioned me, let me remind you this is my first time playing poker, "uh, all in?" I confusingly said, "Ha, might as well follow suit, all-in dealer!" The cool acting thug said, "Full house baby!" He yelled out in excitement, I didn't understand so I showed my cards too, "hey dealer does this count for anything?" I said as I showed my cards, "Holy... thats a royal flush!" He said in surprise, "did I win?" I confusingly said, "The bunny girl is the winner!" The dealer yelled out in excitement, everyone yelled out in victory towards me, I was picked up by everyone in the table except for the cool acting thug who just stood there in shock, "Hey be careful of my skirt!" I cautioned everyone, "hip hip hooray, hip hip hooray!" Everyone shouted as I bounced up and down.

Just as everyone was having fun, a terrible noise suddenly interrupted us. "Hip Hip-" the crowd said before getting interrupted by gunshots, everyone stood in shock, I was quickly put back on the ground as everyone began to scramble, "well atleast my Russian friend got his share." I jokingly said, "Atom we need to find Oliver!" I said to him as we began to go look for him. "There he is!" Atom said as he pointed to Oliver who was staring at the building where the gunshots came from. "Did you hear that!" I yelled out question Oliver as more gunshots sounded, "We need to go to the source of the gunshots." Oliver stated, more than likely Grin Scurvy was the one firing shot, suddenly multiple cars could be hear screeching out of the area, "I think their getting away!" Oliver said as he was about to chase towards the cars when suddenly Atom appeared with a car, we all entered the car and began our pursuit.
