Taking other's credit

Xiu Luo got awaken from his thought when he heard the noise of footsteps and horses neighings and he could guess that the empire send the army to catch the kidnappers.

The soldiers came inside and some soldiers surrounded the six of Xiu Luo and kidnappers as they don't know that Xiu Luo had captured them.

"General Hu this immortal fairy is the one who defeated the kidnappers and held them captive." Bo Chang said to the one who is leading the soldiers and he said immortal fairy while pointing towards Xiu Luo. Hearing the immortal fairy General Hu frowned but he quickly changed the expression as he came to Xiu Luo.

General is a middle age man with big mustache and lean body wearing the black armour suit which is different from the soldiers.

"Greeting immortal fairy, my name is Hu Ran and I... " before General Hu could finish the sentence he was cut short by Xiu Luo. 

"You can go and rescue the captives and don't come near this place." Xiu Luo said in a cold tone and didn't even faced the latter.

Hearing this General Hu clenched his fist because he is respected by the army of soldiers but got flatly rejected and humilated in front of those soldiers by Xiu Luo but he can't do anything to the latter because he is just the mortal and the latter is a cultivator.

Hearing this Bo Chang also tried to leave to leave with General Hu but was stopped by Xiu Luo. 

"Bo Chang you stay." Xiu Luo said while sensing that the latter is going. Hearing this Hu Ran who still had a smile now his face distorted and became dark because his subordinate is getting treatment and the latter is not. But the latter didn't said anything as he silently backed away and ordered the soldiers to rescue the hostages.

"Senior but he is my superior..." Bo Chang seen the displeased face of General Hu and he said trying to convince Xiu Luo to call the general back in their conversation. 

"Bo Chang I am acquainted with you not your general and don't make me repeat again." Xiu Luo told in a same cold tone to Bo Chang. Hearing this Bo Chang become silent.

Then Xiu Luo removed the paper and pen from his storage bag. 

"Do you know how to write." Xiu Luo asked Bo Chang as he faced the latter.

"Yes senior, I know and I...." Bo Chang was cut short before he could finish his sentence 

"Now take this paper and pen and write what I say." Xiu Luo passed the pen and paper to Bo Chang to write the content. And Bo Chang start writing.

Hearing what Xiu Luo is saying the five members faces became pale as their hope of survival is gone.

"Senior you already told that you will spare me but..." the man who gave information said in panic after hearing what Xiu Luo is saying but the latter was cut short.

"I said I would spare you but I didn't say that I would leave you." Xiu Luo said showing his white teeths.

"You bastard..." the man shouted seeing that there is no hope of survival but got beaten by Xiu Luo. 

kukh... and the man rolled on the ground but the others didn't feel pity for him but they had grinned expression as they are saying you deserve it.

Then Xiu Luo took the pen and paper back and add some content with difficulty as he can't see. Then he took out the blood swallowing art scroll and folded the paper inside the scroll. And gave it to Bo Chang . 

The soldiers and the hostages went out of the cave and only Xiu Luo and six of them stayed in cave but the cave is not silent as sceams could be heard from the cave which is resounding outside the cave too, but the crowd were focused on one man that is General Hu.

Then Xiu Luo and other six of them came out of the cave. The five of their faces were swollen and they are walking limply and Bo Chang expression is also wonderful as he had seen what happened in the cave and the most wonderful expression is of Xiu Luo as he felt freshened after beating them to heart content.

Seeing the kidnappers came out the crowd expression also changed to frown because they can't recognise them due to disfigurement of their fces but still they shouted to kill them.

"Kill them."

"Kill them."

"Kill them my son died because of them"

"my family died because of them, kill them"

"General Hu killed them they killed our brothers." 

....

....

The crowd shouted as they want to vent their their anger and even some soldiers also shouted from their expression it could be visible that they had lost their kins.

"Fellow citizens you don't have to worry I general Hu Ran will kill these kidnappers in the name of our Great Xia empire."

The crowd and the soldiers cheered and praised the General Hu Ran as he declared that he would kill the kidnappers.

But one person is feeling amusement hearing the cheers, well he can't see but he could hear it and that is none other than Xiu Luo because General Hu who didn't do anything is taking the credit of and the soldier Bo Chang. 

Sensing that General Hu coming towards the five members with sword in his hand then Xiu Luo took action.

"Hey general who do you think you are to kill my captives without my permission." Xiu Luo said in a deep voice hearing this the whole atmosphere became silent as there is no one present. All anger, all cheers were shut. The voice is deep and cold like it is touching the crowds mind and souls.

Seeing this general Hu Ran clicked hiis tongue as he felt frustrated and don't know what to say. But he gather the courage to say to Xiu Luo.

"Immortal fairy I know that they are your captive but they kidnapped the civilians of our empire and I want to take revenge for my brothers in the name of our empire." General Hu Ran said as he bowed to Xiu Luo. 

"You are wrong they are my captives if I want to kill them no one can stop me and if I want to spare them no one could touch them. And you are telling in the name of empire, did the Emperor gave you permission to kill them." Xiu Luo said angrily so that everybody could hear it. General face looks like he just ate shiit because of embrassment.

"Do you think by killing them you will get rid of the cause."

"No you will only invite more trouble by killing them." Hearing this the whole crowd became silent.

"And you a general tried to kill them without even interrogating, are you even qualified to be a general." Xiu Luo said facing to Hu Ran while the latter is looking downward with red face which is due to being flustered. 

"Bo Chang take these captives to the emperor let him make the decision and I will watch if someone had taken action before you diliver them to the emperor...." Xiu Luo said as he turned back.

"Farewell Immortal fairy. " Everyone came forward and saluted Xiu Luo but Xiu Luo didn't reply to anyone and eveyone left and now Only Xiu Luo and Bo Chang were left.

"Senior will we meet again." Bo Chang said as their is reluctance in his eyes.

"Don't know." Xiu Luo said flatly. 

"Bo Chang too much ignorance will lead to demise, remember this." Xiu Luo said as he went into the the cave. The latter just stayed their blankly as he didn't understand what Xiu Luo's words meant. Then he bowed towards the direction of Xiu Luo and went.

Bo Chang , general Hu Ran and other ten soldiers were taking the boss and his underlings on horses. They were moving fast as they were running out of time. And the other soldiers were bringing the rescuers slowly.

"Bo Chang did senior gave you something." General Hu Ran asked Bo Chang as he thought that the latter got something from the Immortal fairy. He knows Chang Bo very well, he respect the superiors very much and his personality is straight forward and simple.

"General Hu, the senior gave me this scroll to pass it to the empress so we have to move fast." Bo Chang said removing the scroll from his suit showing to the general.

"Hmm , why senior always told emperor but not empress did he not know the change of throne, well whatever." After showing the scroll Bo Chang murmured to himself.

"I see then I will take this scroll and pass it to the empress as it will be difficult for you to meet the empress." General Hu Ran said as there is greed reflected in his eyes watching the scroll. 

"Yes general."Bo Chang passed the scroll to the latter without any questioning. Why Xiu Luo gave him the scroll is because he could get the high position from this achievement but the later gave this opportunity to the general Hu Ran.

General Hu Ran smiled gleefully as he was excited, seeing this other soldiers just sighed for the foolishness of Bo Chang but they didn't say anything as they didn't want to offend the General..
