Story Time

I held the picture that Karma gave me. Koro-sensei and my friends were shown on it. We all missed Koro-sensei deeply.

"Thanks, guys." I said with a big smile on my face. "I'm glad you're all doing alright. It's been a while."

"Yeah! Why the hell have you been missing our calls?" Teraseka pointed a finger at me. "You've been skimping out on us!"

"Skimping out?" Toka echoed. "I'm pretty sure he's been more busy then 'skimping out' on us. He's busy."

"Like hell he is. I'm busy and so Kaede. Look at us, we made time for this!"

"Shut up, already." Kirara crossed her arms and shook her head. "Let the guy breath."

I suddenly felt a camera flashing behind me. A sinister smile was definitely there. And I can only guess who it might be.

"You still look like a girl." Nakamura sneered and giggled. "Even with short hair. Did you shrink or grow? I can't tell."

"Hey, that was totally uncalled for!" I complained about this repetitive situation.

Just like junior high. Everyone was still the same. Teraseka is still short tempered. Nakamura is still a teaser. Kayano is still, well, Kayano. Everybody was still the same, in a good way. And I don't think anyone forgot about our times together.

Why does that make me sound old? I thought to myself.

"So, I've heard about your student." Isogai said. "People around the school are calling it the last circle of hell. Sounds a lot different then our Assassination Classroom."

"It actually is different." I said while ruffling my now short hair. "Karma says we were just like that, but I don't think we were delinquents."

"Maybe if he's only talking about himself." Itona gave a blank expression. "Then yeah, he's right."

"What's that? I'm having a little trouble understanding ya." Karma crossed his arms and put up an irritated smile.

"Either way," I continued. "They're all really, how to do I put this?"

"Let's just say he allowed them to kill him before graduation."

"Karma! Why do you have to say it like that?"

Kayano laughed. "Oh, just like Koro-Sensei. Except, I think you forgot that you're not a science experiment and you can't move at Mach 20."

"I know that! I thought about that beforehand, Y'know!"

They all laughed. Maybe I did forget that I can't move at Mach 20. But what does that have to do with my students trying to kill me? I'm still a natural born killer, so, if anything, it'll be same as us and Koro-Sensei. I just wish they would stop teasing me. It never got old for them, especially Nakamura.

"The institution is always talking about class 3-E." Karma said while slices of cake was being served to us. "It gets annoying."

"I'm sorry? It's not my fault they're all sort of delinquents. I'm trying teach them to be better." I didn't know how to answer in that moment, so I just said something that made the most sense.

"I went through the files for your students one time, and they seriously have some problems."

"We had bigger problems when we were their age." Sugino stated. "And coming from you, you make it sound like they're worse then we were."

Karma sent a sinister smile at Sugino. His aggressive nature came back, and I had a feeling he was going to start teasing us again.

"One student of yours caught my eye." Karma continued on. "Shiro Akamiya. He's got the same name as that science bastard who tried to kill the octopus."

"That's all that caught your attention?" Hinano asked with a deadpanned expression.

"No, of course not. I'm a bit more observant then that. But, does anyone know why he's in that class?"

"Do we even want to know?" Fuwa asked.

"He's violent. And doesn't give a crap about anything or anyone. Kind of like Teraseka."

"What the hell do I have to do with this?!"

"You almost killed multiple times. Seems as though you don't care."

"That was a mistake, you red-headed slacker!"

"He's not that bad." I shrugged.

He's really not that bad. Once in a while, he does get violent. Compared to before he was put into the class for troublemakers, he was a lot worse. He would get into fights for no reason, whatsoever. And he'd go around harassing other students. He's like Karma, but not as much bloodlust.

"He's not as bad as call him out to be." I said, covering for Akamiya. "Sure, he's a little violent-"

"That's an understatement." Karma interrupted.

"But! He's still a good kid. As good as he can be."

"Aha! Hesitation!" Okajima pointed a finger up to the sky.

"Is really as good as you say he is?" Sugaya pretended to hold out a microphone toward me.

Are they pretending to interview me?

"I mean it, he's a good kid."

"And what about Emiyu Makara." Karma smiled mischievously. I thought he had grown up a bit, but he's still the same sinister, mischievous Karma. He seriously went through all the files of my students.

"Emiyu is a good student!" I pointed a finger at Karma. "She's intelligent and athletic. She's just like Nakamura. She's considered a genius, but teases and harasses fellow students."

"That hurt." Nakamura slumped back into her chair. "I'm offended. This poor soul needs comfort."

"You're okay," Toka patted her back.

Why are all my friends like this?

"My students are good kids. Just like how we were." I sighed. "Quit picking on my students!"

Everybody sweatdropped. I think scared them. I laughed awkwardly.

"Dang," Kimura said. "Nagisa is pretty amazing nowadays."

What? What does that mean?

"Oh, I'm sorry." Karma used my shoulder as an elbow stand. "Did I insult you by talking smack about your students?"

"That was unnecessary." I felt like a midget again, since Karma was sitting next to me. "You didn't need to call them out."

"Tell us more about your students." Kanzaki smiled gently. "I'm sure we'd love to hear about them."

I thought about my students. I mean, there was Ikari, who was athletic and flexible, thanks to his dancing career. Surimei is a math genius. Sora is pretty strong for a girl.

"Well," I leaned back into my chair. "Hidoi Imenai always caught my eye. He's quiet, but, we're only about a month into the school year, and he's been able to cut at least once a week."

"Hidoi, huh?" Karma tilted his head and thought to himself. "Read his file, never heard a single word of him."

"Yeah, his parents are big shots, apparently, but he never talks about them. If I had to choose a student to talk to about their story, it'd be Hidoi."

"Can we shut up and party now?" Maehara suggested. "I'm dying to check out the pie here!"

"Hell yeah!" Everyone said in unison.

I don't remember how long we were out for, but what I do know is that we had partied to our hearts' and souls' content.

"Shiota-Sensei," Tsuki raised her hand. "I finished the pop quiz."

"Good," I smiled. "Put it onto my desk and I'll grade it."

Tsuki smiled back at me and brought her quiz paper up to my desk. She paused, standing right in front me and her smiling turning from sweet to sinister. Right at that moment, she took hold of the knife behind her quiz and thrusted it toward me.

I jumped from my seat and grabbed her wrist the moment she thrusted the knife. I grabbed the knife from her hand and smiled.

"We're in the middle of a quiz. Let's save that for after the test. But it was a good try."

Tsuki pouted. That was very much like her. "Yes sir. Thanks, I guess."

She picked her finished pop quiz and set it on my desk. She actually finished the pop quiz, then attacked, unlike some people would.

"Phooey," She muttered and rested her head on her desk. "Couldn't get him. He's like some kind of wizard."

"It'll be fine," Taino, who sat right in front of her, comforted. "It was good idea. He's just too good."

"Shiota-Sensei," Kumiko said. "How come you're able to avoid all of our attacks?"

So straightforward! Those were their exact thoughts.

"That's a very oblivious question." I said as I sat back down in my chair and held a clipboard, filling out papers that needed signing. "I'll tell you what, if all of you place in the top 50 for midterms, then I'll let you all in on a secret of mine."

Hidoi stared at me with those black eyes of his. It was sort of creepy, until he finally spoke up. "That's 5 months from now. You expect us to wait that long?"

"Hm," I smiled. "Yes. And in that time, I intend to improve your grades. You've all been slipping up with your grades. I may be your target, but you still have an education to take care of."

All the girls in the classroom complained. They definitely just wanted to hear a story. Most of them didn't care for an education, aside from Surimei.

"Why not just tell us now?" Hidoi asked, a pistol in his hand, his finger on the trigger and aiming it at me.

Everybody had eyes on him. Seeing that he had pulled a gun, it came as a surprise. He was the first to pull a gun. I honestly don't know where he got the gun from, but, I am their target, by my permission.

"Hidoi," Kiirono spoke in a low voice. "Where'd you get a gun from?"

"Why not tell us now?" Hidoi started walking toward me, the gun still in his hand. Once close enough, he put the gun against my chest. "I could kill you now."

"Hidoi, wait a sec!" Suta stood out of her seat. "He offered a deal! Aren't you curious? If you were to kill him now, you'd be left with questions!"

It was quiet for a few minutes. An intense stare was given to me from Hidoi. He acted as if he would pull the trigger right at that moment.

"The gun's on safety, you idiots." Hidoi said, pointing the gun up at the ceiling and pulling the trigger, only to get a few clicking sounds. "I'm not stupid enough to kill him right off the bat."

"What the hell is wrong with you?!" The entire class demanded.

"Dude! You gave us all a heart attack!" Mekura waved her fist around.

"What goes on in your head?!" Kurai questioned.

This class is a disaster.

"Let's just calm down now." I raised my hands to gesture everyone to sit down. "You're all so eager to know, it's only fair if I let you all know a small detail."

Everybody immediately sat down, curiosity in their eyes. I guess they really wanted to know.

"Well, um, where do I start? Does anybody remember when the moon suddenly blew up?"

"Ooh, I remember!" Sukiyano said, raising his hand. "I thought the world was going to end or something."

"You were all pretty young, maybe six or seven. But, when I was in junior high, I was put into class 3-E. The entire class was chaotic and troublemaking. Two weeks after school began, we met the being that destroyed over 50% of the moon."

I pulled out a picture from my pocket and held it in front of the class for all to see. Koro-Sensei and my friends were shown on the picture, our mentor's tentacles wrapping around all of us.

"What the hell is that supposed to be?" Akamiya cocked an eyebrow.

"This is my teacher, my mentor, when I was in junior high."

The class deadpanned. They were all confused and, most likely, didn't believe me. So I explained further.

"Our goal, as 3-E, the End Class, was to assassinate him. So, therefore, we became assassins. We only had until March of the next to year to kill him. Otherwise, he would destroy the earth, just as he did to the moon."

"Shiota-Sensei," I heard Umizu come up from behind me. "Are you an assassin?"

"Yes, Umizu. Why are you up out of your seat?"

"Sorry, I thought I could take you from behind."

"Does that make us assassins?" Miranai asked. "I mean, we're trying to kill you, like you did with your teacher."

"You're all my would-be assassins. I'll help you along the path of assassins, but you must also teach yourselves along the way. Now, let's move to 4th period."

"Yes sir!"
