New Life

...Darkness...

This was the first thing he experienced once he smashed his head into the concrete.

Everencasing, welcoming and the only thing that accompanied him even after death...

All too familiar to him...

His whole existence was nothing but darkness, even worldly pleasures were not able to fill in this darkness.

He never understood why this feeling didn't go away even after he became the world's richest and most powerful man...

This darkness always reminded him of his vulnerability as a human, of his weaknesses as a mortal. It always told him that he was weak, useless and puny. Perhaps, this was the main drive behind his desire to reign supreme over the world.

His insatiable desire for power didn't go away even though he became virtually supreme...

He felt something was missing, something that would give him confidence in his existence. The thing that would truly make him...

Supreme!

The darkness didn't last long as he suddenly felt pressure all over him...as if being squeezed by a giant sponge. This feeling lasted for a while until he felt a sudden pain in a particular area of his body. Sounds started to reverberate all over him.

Suddenly, bright light illuminated the world!

He slowly opened his eyes as blurry shapes manifested into his view. This made him think that he somehow had survived the crash and ended up in a hospital. He tried to speak but he found out that he had no control over his body!

This startled him but didn't make him desperate since modern medicine could help him in this case.

Then, as if taking his first breaths, he experienced sharp pain in his chest area as he started crying! It was a natural reaction of a newborn!

He didn't understand why he suddenly started crying, his mind worked full force to find the solution to his predicament. As if revelation dawned upon him, he suddenly started doubting his status as a survivor of a fall from one of the tallest skyscrapers in the world. This made no sense to him!

The only possibility left was...

Reincarnation!

This concept sounded unreal to him as he had never met individuals who reincarnated, yet he still possessed the memories of himself so it probably was a...

Transmigration?!

This sounded even more impossible! He was someone who never believed into religion even one bit as he even sometimes resorted to it to control the masses.

Yet, what he was now experiencing was exactly the aftereffects of being just born! The only concept that seemed plausible was...

Magic!

After all, he had seen shamans cast curses on people and had hired some to use them for his interests.

They always told some nonsense about soul and etc. He paid it no heed as he wasn't a shaman, plus he used them when he was nothing more than a little gang boss.

This sounded absurd! Those little shamans caused little to no actual damage and were regarded as common street scammers. But maybe, just maybe their words made some sense now...

He could only wait as blurry shapes moved in his colorless vision. His undeveloped brain was unable to process all the new feelings he was experiencing.

He tried to move but it was of no use as he had no control over his new body. The feeling was suffocating as he once again was rendered powerless...

He had to do something!

But his newborn state didn't let him stay awake for long as he gradually fell asleep.

-----

The moment he woke up there were no blurry shapes present as he still couldn't move his body. Suddenly, he instinctively started cried even though he had never cried before in his past life.

At this point he understood that he was just a background, just a consciousness that had no actual control over its body.

After a while of heart-wrenching cries, a blurry shape once again appeared in his colorless view. He assumed them to be a parental figure to this baby. The baby kept crying as if dissatisfied with everything.

The next moment he felt something soft press against his cheek.

'This familiar feeling, breastfeeding?' he thought.

Even though he had no control over his body he still could experience all physical sensations. His instincts kicked in as warm liquid flowed down his throat. He desperately sucked on the woman's soft bosom as the woman inwardly let out a pleasurable moan and was surprised by the sucking force of the newborn.

If he could see properly, he would be content with the warm smile that the beauty showed in front of him.

She exuded a motherly charm as she patiently waited for the baby to finish.

After a while, the baby finished feeding and the woman carefully put him back into the crib-like structure.

He heard some incomprehensible sounds from her as he assumed it to be this place's native language. The reason why he didn't think this was a new world was because he vaguely outlined a humanoid shape even though everything was blurry in his view.

The next moment he heard something that made his entire being shake...

Andrew Gozmar!

He was internally shocked as he clearly understood each syllable this woman said! He didn't know the language she spoke yet he clearly understood those words!

This came as a massive shock to him as he tried to find a reasonable explanation...

But, there was none.

Is it what babies feel when they are given their names? He didn't know nor understand, but he felt that this name couldn't be more fitting to him.

If he could control his body, this woman over him would have seen a blossoming smile all over his face.

'Is it my new life?' he inwardly thought...

'Only time will show!' he internally exclaimed as he couldn't wait to see what kind of mess his transmigration brought him in!
