15 Cheng Gang's proposition.

Far from the city, on a beautiful hill, a tombstone was erected. In front of it, a young man sat with tears in his eyes; he looked at the tombstone he himself built.

He already lost everything; one would say that there was nothing holding him back, or that there was nothing to support him anymore. But it was all meaningless; he was alone again. While sadness filled his heart, something fluffy touched his hand.

It was a little fox, not a spiritual beast but a normal fox. Looking into his eyes, Marcus saw that they showed interest. Completely oblivious to everything it just lived its own life and seeing Marcus the little fox approached him because he did not feel any danger from him.

Marcus wished he could be like this little fox. Free.

Realizing what he wanted Marcus's heart calmed down.

"Zhi Ruo, I will never forget our time together, but I will have to leave soon. I will live on with you in my heart. Maybe I will find what I want at the end of my journey."

"I will come back to talk to you, I don't know when, but I will definitely come to see you again."

His Body was tired; he didn't feel anything but pain. He still moved his body and left the hill. Marcus's willpower was the only thing that kept him going, but his body couldn't keep going and collapsed.

Cheng Gang followed Marcus the whole time. He already was aware that Marcus's condition was terrible. But he didn't intervene with anything up to this point. Seeing Marcus collapsing he took him back to the city.

In a small room, hunters guild physician checked Marcus's body. Sighing, he looked at Cheng Gang.

"Every muscle in his body is torn apart, organs badly damaged, and almost every bone cracked. He should be dead at this point; I don't know how is he still living. All I can do is give him some regenerative medicine, and if he can hold on for a few weeks, he may have a chance to survive."

Cheng Gang was depressed, he didn't expect the damage to be so severe, now he can only have hope that Marcus survives.

Days later Marcus woke up. His body still in pain.
