Smoke still rose from the city, the battle there having concluded mere days ago. However, Commander Zai of the First Ascendant Battalion and The Dawnravens stood ready to bring the fight to the final force the Kingdom had mustered against them.
Two years had passed since the near-destruction of the Rebellion. Two years since the traitor General Jiang was put down.
