Xu was exhausted. Getting the Separatist soldiers at the airport to defect took much more out of her than she thought.
After rallying the first group, they'd essentially marched from one end of the airfield to the other, bringing everyone into the hangars.
Eventually, she'd radioed for support and had to do some convincing to get a few squads sent out to the airfield.
Now, close to midnight, she felt she had some time to rest, and her squad had nested in the hangar that had been reserved for Ambassador Sommer's craft. The bodies had been taken off for burial, and Xu took a moderate amount of satisfaction from watching Quynh and the rest of her team enjoying some of the luxuries from inside the plane. Sommer's private plane had been well stocked with alcohol, snacks, and even candies that Xu found she craved as soon as she tried them.
