Their Knight in Shining Armor

>Tyler's POV<

Mar naririnig kaming umiiyak at pinapanood namin si Geof na lumalapit sa babae pero I kind of have a bad feeling about this. It's like… I don't trust this action and I want him to stop.

"Geof, don't." I warned him and he didn't listen.

"May umiiyak, Tyler. Babae." He just said and I rolled my eyes at him.

"Still, don't go. I don't feel good about this." I told him again but he just ignored me. He stopped on one branch, and he puled the leaves and twigs away and saw a bloody girl crying near the edge of the tree. We could not see her face. She's crying and she's rocking her body back and forth. It made me more curious but cautious at the same time.

Saan ka ba naman makakakita ng umiiyak na babae during a zombie apocalypse?

"Geof, stand back." Sabi ko sa kanya and nilalapitan na siya ni Geof.

"Ms.?" He questioned but it shocked us when she suddenly looked back.

"Ah!" she shouted at the top of her voice. Nagulat siya at halata rin yung takot sa kanyang expression. The gril is bloody, and she has a messy hair. Yellowish-red yung mata niya tapos sobrang wide ang pagkabukas ng bibig niya.

"Geof, umalis ka na!" sigaw ni Dannie over the walkie-talkie and it made him alert it escaping from this woman.

Is this a new type of zombie?

Pataas na si Geof sa top ng tree pero may nakakaiba sa babaeng zombie na ito. Sigaw siya ng sigaw at kaya niyang habulin si Geof. Kaya niya rin akyatin ang puno. Pero kung kaya niya habulin ang isang tao at kung kaya niyang umakyat, bakit hindi siya pununta rito sa gate? Ano bang meron sap ag iisip ng zombie na ito? May sari-sarili rin ba silang utak? Hindi lang ba sila mindless zombie?

"Hindi ako pwede bumaril." Dannie's father said and I looked at him seriously. "Baka mapatay ko si Geof." He added and I looked back at Geof who is desperately running away from the woman zombie. Hindi niya magamit ang kanyang sword dahil kung tumigil siya para gamitin 'yon, baka makagat siya. At totoo ang sinabi ng dad ni Dannie. Kung baril ang gagamitin, baka mabaril niya siya at pag sniper naman, hindi rin pwede dahil mabilis silang gumalaw. Papalit-palit sila ng direksyon.

"Tyler, ano na'ng gagawin natin?" tanong ni Dannie sa akin pero hindi ko alam kung paano sasabihin sa kanya. I don't know how to answer his question.

If I don't think quick, Geof might get killed.

Nagulat kaming lahat kasi nakita namin si Geof na nahulog sa sahig at napansin na siya ng mga zombies. "I need help here!" sabi niya over the walkie-talkie at agad siyang tumayo at tumakbo paalis ng puno, pero sinusundan din siya ng mabilis na zombie na babae na kanina lang umiiyak siya. Mas nagulat kami when we saw that the woman zombie chased and caught him and went on top of him, almost biting him. It made us panic even more.

Was crying her way of distraction to allure people and turn them into their prey?

Tiningnan ako ng tatay ni Dannie. "Tyler, kailangan nating bumaba." Sabi niya and Dannie's eyes grew wider.

"Sasama rin ako." Sabi niya but his father shook his head.

"Hindi pwede, Dannie. Anak kita at ayaw kitang mapahamak." Sabi niya at tiningnan niya yung ibang parents na nakikipag laban din. Yung mga mothers naging healer na rin. The fathers being the image that children would usually think of.

Their knight in shining armor.

"Pare, kailangan ko ng M16 ko." Sabi ng dad ni Dannie sa kanya and the parent gave him a gun called M16. It's black in color and it is a big gun. He added a bayonet at the end of the gun and he looked through the scope of the gun for him to have an accurate shooting, but he's not pulling the trigger. The suddenly, a plan hit me.

"Tito, bababa po tayo." I started and I got my pistol. "Ikaw po long-ranged. I will be the bait this time. Pag malayo na po yung zombies kay Geof, barilin niyo po yung zombie na nasa itaas ni Geof." Sabi ko and I looked at him, struggling from the hold of the woman zombie. Masyado siyang mabilis at masyadong malakas.

Dannie's father nodded at me. "Magandang plano." Sabi niya and he loaded his gun properly. "Idi-distract mo sila farther right, away from Geof para ma-focus ko hit ko sa zombie sa taas ni Geof. Then we run with him up the tree and Dannie, may walkie-talkie si Geof. Pag sinabi kong ibato ang grenade, ibato agad. No hesitations. Got it?" order at tanong niya kay Dannie and Dannie just nodded at him slowly but panic was evident on her face.

She hugged her father. "Ingat po kayo. Ikaw na lang po ang natitirang pamilya ko." She said and her father hugged him back as he smiled at her.

"Ako pa! Kaya ko ito. Tiwala lang, anak at tatagumpay tayo. Tutulungan tayo ng classmates mo, classmates ni Geof, at ng mga parents." He said finally and the both of us stood up to go down the house and to the back door going to the main lawn and climb the wall where Geof climbed up a while ago.
