Chapter 3
"James... James.... James...." James slowly woke up on the hospital bed and groans in pain, holding his wound. " Stay down Captain" Dave says placing James back down on the bed. "Where am I?" James looks around confused. " You're in the hospital, Captain"
Christopher replied. " The mission..." James looks at them, concerned. " No need to worry captain, the mission was a success" Rick says to calm James down. "But how" James said with more questions. " Well..."
Flashback...
Rick sees James on the floor, wounded. " We gotta save captain" Rick says in a panicked tone. All of them got out from their defense and started going Rambo, they succeeded but not for long as more gang members started barging in to their place. They took cover, draging James's unconscious body together to take cover. " We can't hold them" " Is this it for us" is the conversation between the people. They closed their eyes and accepted their fate but then, gunshots are fired. They opened their eyes and started touching their body to see whether they are dead or not, they are not dead. They look up, seeing back up arrived. And so the gang leader was caught and mission success.
Present...
"Oh..." James said in a still confused tone. There is a brief moment of silence filled in the room. But then, the door opens to the room and comes in a pretty doctor.
"I'm gonna need you guys to leave first so I can check on James here." the doctor said. The guys left James and the doctor in the room.
Alright introduction to this doctor.
Doctor Irene, a young doctor. Age: 24 Birthday: December 1st
"Hi James, I see you are awake. How are you feeling?" Doctor Irene said. James was shocked and didn't say anything, he was lacking of words and was just staring at her. " James, are you okay?" Doctor Irene said, concerned with how James was just looking at her without saying anything. James got snapped back into reality and stutters. " Ye-yes I'm fine"
"You were lucky James, even though the bullet went right into your chest, it missed your heart by just one inch. if the bullet was any closer, you wouldn't have survived." Doctor Irene said. " Thank you for saving me" James said. Doctor Irene chuckles and replies " I'm a doctor , James. it's my job to do so..." Doctor Irene checks on James's conditions "Alright everything seems good, but because of your wound... you might have to stay in the hospital for quite some time until your wound mostly recovers..." Doctor Irene says. "alright, thanks doctor" James can't say anything else. " Have a good rest, James" Doctor Irene said before going out of the room"
James just stares into the void and thinks "Is that the doctor from my dream, it couldn't be. Why would I even dream of her when I don't even know her. Is this just pure coincidence..." This thought didn't help him but instead made him more frustrated and have more questions. The guys came in, disrupting James's thoughts. " Hey Captain , I thought you might need some good rest to recover. So we are going to leave you and we will come to visit you when we are free" Dave says before closing the door and leaving with the others"
James just nodded and continued thinking about what just happened and left him with even more questions but so little answers...
